Main View

A soft-sided suitcase made with recycled fabric that converts to a backpack, holds three-to-five days’ worth of clothing and most 17" laptops, and meets most airline carry-on requirements.

As practical as a good map, as adaptable as a well-seasoned traveler and as useful as a concierge in an unknown city, our Transport M.L.C.® (Maximum Legal Carry-On) may well be the most versatile travel bag you’ll ever stuff into an overhead bin. This soft-sided carry-on bag holds three-to-five days' worth of clothes, opens like a book for easy packing and meets airline carry-on size requirements so you can get in and out as fast as possible. An internal, padded sleeve holds most 17” laptops and doubles as a clothing organizer. The main pocket features two compartments for organization; a second pocket keeps shoes separate from clothing. Two exterior pockets have organizational features to hold keys, electronics and to provide quick access to travel documents, wallet and cell phone. Multiple carrying options include a padded shoulder strap that can be worn on one shoulder or across the chest bandolier style, and top and side handles for carrying it like a briefcase. Zip-away, ergonomic shoulder straps convert the M.L.C. to a backpack so you can easily make a sprint through crowds. An integrated, horizontal docking sleeve slides over the telescoping handles of all of our Transport Rollers. Made from 8.4-oz 900-denier recycled PET twill fabric with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish and lined with 200-denier polyester.

Recycled Polyester

In 1993, we adopted fleece into our product line made from post consumer recycled (PCR) plastic soda bottles. We were the first outdoor clothing manufacturer to do so. PCR® clothing was a positive step towards a more sustainable system – one that uses fewer resources, discards less and better protects people’s health.

Today, we’re able to utilize more sources for recycled polyester and offer it on more garments such as Capilene® baselayers, shell jackets, board shorts, and fleece. We now recycle used soda bottles, unusable manufacturing waste, and worn out garments (including our own) into polyester fibers to produce many of our clothes.

Using recycled polyester lessens our dependence on petroleum as a raw material source, curbs discards and reduces toxic emissions from incinerators.

Water Resistant

DWR
(durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.
