Versatile and super comfortable, the Away From Home Pants are made of a fast-wicking, quick-drying nylon taslan.

Who says hardcore fishing pants have to look like hardcore fishing pants? Not us. In fact, our Women’s Away From Home Pants feature a stylish, feminine fit that looks and feels great stalking the flats or biking into town for café con leche. For form and function, these pants are made from two fabrics: a stretch-woven nylon/spandex blend on the seat for a flattering fit, and a light, quick-drying nylon canvas everywhere else for quick-dry durability. They have the technical features you need for serious fishing – 50+ UPF sun protection, nylon utility keeper, two front and back pockets, a double side pocket on the left leg – but work equally well on the trail, around town or anywhere else that takes you away from home.
  • Durable, quick-drying nylon taslan, with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish and 50+ UPF sun protection; water-resistant stretch-woven seat is super comfortable
  • Jean-front styling with nylon utility keeper; two back pockets
  • Double-side utility pocket
  • Articulated knees
  • Main: 3.4-oz 100% nylon taslan, with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish and 50+ UPF sun protection. Seat: 96% nylon/4% spandex, with a DWR finish
  • 218 g (7.7 oz)
  • Made in Vietnam.

Water Resistant

DWR
(durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

Sun Protection

Lacking fur, feathers or scales, we humans have to think up clever ways to protect ourselves from the sun. Products with the UPF designation provide built-in sun protection that won’t wear off.

UPF stands for “Ultraviolet Protection Factor.” This value represents the fractional amount of the sun’s harmful UV rays that pass through a fabric. A rating of “25” indicates that only 1/25th , or 4% of the UV rays pass through the garment.

Patagonia products with rated UPF protection are tested independently to meet Australia/New Zealand or AATCC protocols. A rating of 15-24 earns a product a rating of “good”; a rating of 25-39 is "very good"; and a rating of 40-50+ is “excellent.” *

* When tested in accordance with Australian/New Zealand test methods AS/NZS 4399 or USA test methods AATCC 183/ASTM D6603/ASTM D6544.
