This lightweight skirt converts to a halter dress—the elegant shirred waistband becomes a bandeau-style bodice; it’s made from a blend of organic cotton and Tencel® lyocell and has an asymmetrical hem; falls below the knee.

Keep the Kamala skirt in the front of your closet all year round. The lightweight organic cotton/Tencel® lyocell (55%/45%) jersey fabric has a smooth, breeze-catching drape and rests easy over leggings, tights or suntanned skin. The wide, cinched, shirred waistband adjusts with ties on one side, and the asymmetrical A-line shape falls below the knee. Or wear it as a dress layered under cardigans and hoodies: The doubled waistband converts to a bandeau-style bodice with ties that secure behind the neck, and the asymmetrical hem hits above the knee in front, below in back. Length (size M) is 30" waist to hem.
  • Wide cinched waistband fits snugly and is adjustable on right side with ties
  • Asymmetrical skirt falls below the knee
  • When converted to a bandeau-style dress, the doubled waistband becomes the bodice, and ties secure behind the neck
  • Dress hem falls at the knee in the front
  • 4.8-oz 55% organic cotton/45% Tencel® lyocell
  • 201 g (7.1 oz)
  • Made in Vietnam.

Organic Cotton

Organic Cotton

In 1996, with an increased awareness of the dangers of pesticide use and synthetic fertilizers in growing conventional cotton, we began the exclusive use of organically grown cotton in all of our cotton products.

The quality of organic cotton is equal to or better than conventionally grown cotton, yet organically grown methods support biodiversity and healthy ecosystems, improve the quality of soil and often use less water. Growing organically takes more time, requires more knowledge and skill, and, for now, costs more. But it’s worth it.

To ensure we are buying cotton that is organic as defined by the USDA’s National Organic Program, we require numerous certificates issued by an accredited third-party certification body for every step of the supply chain, from farm to factories.
