Warm, comfortable and durable, the Rubicon Down Jacket is a performance-riding workhorse that’s part of every local’s quiver. 600-fill-power Traceable Down keeps warmth in and a durable polyester rip-stop fabric keeps the elements out.

When you measure your season by deep turns, make sure you include a burly insulated shell so you can stay focused on the ride not the weather report. The Rubicon Down Jacket is our workhorse, insulated shell—warm, performance-oriented and in it for the long haul. Insulated with deluxe, traceable (third-party-verified, non-live-plucked, non-force-fed) 600-fill-power duck down, it delivers serious warmth to preserve your core temperature for riding in all conditions, whether it’s 5 percent smoke or baked windslab. The 100% polyester ripstop shell has a light, water-resistant coating and our DWR (durable water repellent) finish to stop moisture and wind. A soft polyester lining glides smoothly over layers to preserve mobility. Fleece at the collar and chin flap protects your neck from overhead blowback, and the removable powder skirt (with webbing loop that connects to any Patagonia® snow pants) seals out snow at the waist. Pit zips keep you ventilated. Zippered pockets: two handwarmers, one chest with secure media pocket with cable routing, one internal drop-in for goggles and one internal stash. Includes an embedded RECCO® avalanche rescue reflector, an insulated, helmet-compatible hood and an articulated, feminine silhouette.

100% Traceable Down Insulation

Patagonia 100% Traceable Down provides the highest assurance of animal welfare in the apparel industry. Every down cluster, in every one of our down products, comes exclusively from birds that were never force-fed and never live-plucked. How do we know? We hired an independent third-party expert to trace and verify our down supply chain from farm to jacket–and every step in between. Learn more

Water Resistant

DWR
(durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.
