Warm, versatile and durable, the Rubicon Down Jacket is a performance-riding workhorse that's part of every local's quiver. The 600-fill-power European goose down insulation keeps warmth in and a bomber polyester rip-stop fabric keeps elements out.

Insulated with 600-fill-power premium European goose down, the Rubicon Down Jacket protects your inner fire so you can ride. The durable and light 100% polyester ripstop shell has a water-resistant coating and our Deluge® DWR (durable water repellent) finish to stop moisture and wind. A soft polyester lining glides smoothly over layers to preserve mobility. Fleece at the collar and chin flap protects your neck from overhead blowback, and the fully featured, removable powder skirt (with webbing loops that connect to any Patagonia® snow pants) seals out snow at the waist. Pit zips keep you ventilated. Zippered pockets: two handwarmers; one chest with secure media pocket and cable routing; one internal stash; one internal drop-in for goggles or gloves. With feminine shaping and an embedded RECCO® avalanche rescue reflector.
  • Durable, lightweight polyester ripstop is windproof and highly water-resistant; warm and highly compressible 600-fill-power goose down
  • Helmet-compatible, 2-way-adjustable removable hood with visor for optimal visibility in bad conditions; soft microfleece panels placed in back of neck and chin; high collar seals out snow

100% Traceable Down Insulation

Patagonia 100% Traceable Down provides the highest assurance of animal welfare in the apparel industry. Every down cluster, in every one of our down products, comes exclusively from birds that were never force-fed and never live-plucked. How do we know? We hired an independent third-party expert to trace and verify our down supply chain from farm to jacket–and every step in between. Learn more

Water Resistant

DWR
(durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.
