Oh Mykiss

Although summer is in full swing those with the bug have a difficult time letting go of the tug from wild steelhead and while they are around in the summer it is the bigger winter fish that most dream about as hot summer days drone on.  Soon people, very soon we will be back after them!

It’s Time

Across the U.S. those fly anglers who have been holding their breath since last summer begin to take big sighs of relief as the signature hatch of summer’s arrival begins.  Salmonfly Fever is upon us and our recommendation is to find yourself in the middle of it.  Might have missed it in some places but have time yet in others so get out there and fish!

Power of the River

The official trailer for this movie just landed as it moves in its full length version to the film festival circuit.  World Premier is this coming weekend at DocuWest in Denver.  Come watch Ambassador Dave McCoy and a group of other anglers tackle the challenges thrown at them as they attempt to fish this river while telling a story of why it shouldn’t be ruined by a dam.

Spring Cometh!

Few sights more admirable than a foggy morning over Puget Sound in Washington state.  Snow on the Olympics rising above steelhead country and clouds rolling off the hills to meet the salt water.  Take it all in when you can.
