Gum for My Boat

Gum for My Boat is a story of hope focusing on the Bangladesh Surf Club and its members. Their love for surfing brings them together and introduces them to a way of life they never knew existed. Many of the children are street kids or come from very poor families and the film focuses on the creation of community through surfing and its power to change lives. An ocean that was once deemed off limits due to fear and a very conservative Islamic culture, is now becoming source of fun, escape, and even an chance for a way to make a living.

The DH Productions’ crew has dug deep into their archive and sifted through more than a decades’ worth of footage, pulling out the sickest crash clips they could find. Sit back as these pros take you through the mashups blow by blow. OTB Is filled with all the broken bikes, bones and blood that have made us famous.

We are located on the corner of Willow and Clybourn.

From Downtown: Take 90/94 West to the North Avenue exit. Take a right on North Avenue, left on Sheffield to Clybourn.

From the north: Take 90 East (Kennedy Expressway) to North Avenue exit. Turn left onto North Avenue at bottom of exit ramp and head east across river. Turn left at Sheffield, go two blocks north to Clybourn, Sheffield and Willow.

From CTA Red Line: Exit at North/Clybourn stop (1600 N), walk north on Clybourn 2.5 blocks to intersection of Clybourn, Sheffield and Willow (1800 N).

From CTA Brown Line: Exit at Armitage (2000 N), walk west on Armitage ½ block, turn left and head south on Sheffield 4 blocks to intersection of Clybourn, Sheffield and Willow (1800 N).

From Metra Clybourn stop: Use south stairwell to Cortland St / Ashland Ave intersection (2000 N). Walk east on Cortland six blocks, crossing river and passing Finkl Steel plant to Clybourn Ave. Turn right at Clybourn and head south 4 blocks to intersection of Clybourn, Sheffield and Willow (1800 N).
