Patagonia - Enviro What We Do: Grants, Activist Tools Conference, LEEDs Certification...

Our definition of quality includes a mandate for building products and working with processes that cause the least harm to the environment. We evaluate raw materials, invest in innovative technologies, rigorously police our waste and use a portion of our sales to support groups working to make a real difference. We acknowledge that the wild world we love best is disappearing. That is why those of us who work here share a strong commitment to protecting undomesticated lands and waters. We believe in using business to inspire solutions to the environmental crisis.

Environmentalism is in our DNA, and walking the environmental talk takes constant vigilance. Being green means doing green; means being a values-based business. As a "green" company Patagonia evaluates raw materials, invests in innovative technologies, pioneers programs like Common Threads Garment Recycling, pays employees to work environmental internships, polices our waste and uses a portion of our sales to support groups working to make a real difference. Some of our company supported programs include: World Trout Initiative, 1% for the Planet, Conservacion Patagonica, Conservation Alliance, Organic Exchange, Corporate Social Responsibility, Tools Grassroots Activists Conference, Solar Panels, Voice Your Choice, LEED certified building practices, FSC Certification.
