In the mid-1970’s, few people were fly-casting for steelhead. With fiberglass rods and click-pawl reels, four pioneering young fly-fishers, Bill Bakke, John Hazel, Steve Pettit, and Randle Stetzer began exploring steelhead streams around the region. All became staunch river conservation advocates, all four continue to fish.
