Tamai is known as a pioneer of the snowsurfing movement. His passion to live in harmony with nature comes from a childhood escaping the hussle of Tokyo to the mountains and sea. He lives with his family in Niseko, where he meditates on every snowy undulation in the nearby mountains and forests.
