“Since learning to mend, I no longer see a hole as a reason to toss the whole garment out,” Sonya says. “A hole is an invitation to get involved, to exercise my ingenuity and to practice my sewing. Yes, it takes time, and the truth is, I often feel too busy to tackle my ever-growing pile of things waiting for mending. But when I do find time, repair is always immensely gratifying.”
