The Arbor Pack has a main compartment that closes with a large flap pocket and holds your inventory of everyday goods—from books, lunch and a shell, to climbing shoes and chalk bag. A zippered pocket on the underside of the lid stashes a wallet and phone. Inside, a raised, padded sleeve with a buckle closure protects most 15" laptops from jarring knocks and also doubles as an insulated hydration reservoir when you hit the trails. Human Curve® straps conform ergonomically to your shoulders and upper chest for all-day comfort under loads. Accessory patches and a fixed webbing loop carry ice tools, crampons or a yoga mat. Made from durable 600-denier 100% recycled polyester with a polyurethane coating and a DWR (durable water repellent) finish.

Recycled Polyester

In 1993, we adopted fleece into our product line made from post consumer recycled (PCR) plastic soda bottles. We were the first outdoor clothing manufacturer to do so. PCR® clothing was a positive step towards a more sustainable system – one that uses fewer resources, discards less and better protects people’s health.

Today, we’re able to utilize more sources for recycled polyester and offer it on more garments such as Capilene® baselayers, shell jackets, board shorts, and fleece. We now recycle used soda bottles, unusable manufacturing waste, and worn out garments (including our own) into polyester fibers to produce many of our clothes.

Using recycled polyester lessens our dependence on petroleum as a raw material source, curbs discards and reduces toxic emissions from incinerators.

Water Resistant

DWR (durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

Arbor Pack 26L is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 33.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I own 2 of these I travel 40 times a year. I need a lightweight yet sizeable backpack to easily move between airports. I do not carry any other bags. I am a light packer. I want Arbor backpack in Blackhole fabric please. Maybe move the zipper of the front pocket a bit higher. I found it rather useless otherwise. But the top loading style and minimalist pockets fit my needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Back Pack I've Ever Owned I would like to start by saying I've had this bag for 3 years, and I use it everyday. It's incredibly useful, light, and easy to carry around. My puppy was teething when I first purchased the bag and chewed off the clips to the top flap and Patagonia replaced the clips for me and made the bag look and feel better than new. I was impressed. On another note: I wanted to make a suggestion and ask Patagonia to consider the following: I am a traveler and I spend a reasonable amount of time in nature and in the city. Wherever I go, I like to bring my camera with me. It does however get to be a bit much to carry around a backpack and a camera bag and it becomes cumbersome when you're in an airplane or even somewhere like a restaurant and especially when you're climbing rocks or backpacking around. Would Patagonia consider making a backpack, maybe in the 26-32 liter range, that has space for regular backpack storage, computers, books, food, jackets, etc... and also a space for a DSLR camera and some lenses? While still meeting carry-on bag requirements for international flights? If Patagonia produced a product like this, I would certainly use it and I'm sure many more nature photographers and camping enthusiasts would take advantage of such a useful product. I love Patagonia, what the brand stands for and the company's commitment to sustainability and for this reason, I prefer to purchase anything I need and can afford from you, which is also why I am taking the time to suggest it to you. Anyways, it was just a thought and I hope that even if this is not in the realm of possibility right now, it leads to something equally as good or better in the future. I look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, Vito Maffei

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Padded back might make you overheat If you are looking for a stylish bag with a padded laptop compartment then look no further, but personally I found it very awkard to walk even a mile with it on my back, mostly because the padded back was overheating anytime I had to walk at a good pace (talking about a 5mins walk in the city to catch a meeting there, not a physical effort by any means). I am a trail runner and usually hardly ever overheat nor perspire, and this is the only backpack causing me trouble. That said, I am one of these people that hate being too warm and I suppose it is a compromise between laptop protection and overheating, so if you can bear the heat I guess it's not such a bad choice for the city. The back is also very durable (had it for a year and I am not the cautious type)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My first Patagonia purchase This bacpack is perfect. Its stylish, sturdy, and lighter than all my previous bags, but somehow everything still fits: my 15.6 inch laptop, lunch, sweater, phone, media accessory case, and planner. The only improvement would be more interior pockets and separators. With a laptop compartment I'd guess that most people are using this for commuting and city travel so the top-loading design leads to a confusing jumble of stuff if you fill the pack. The front pocket is very helpful, though! Still the best backpack I've owned. Many thanks to the customer service rep I spoke with on the phone who tested a bunch of bags for me with her colleagues laptop to find one that would fit a 15.6 laptop specifically. Wish I'd gotten her name so I could send an email to the company recommending her.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just buy it Ok folks, I've had this pack for 3+ years now, and I've never been so happy with a luggage purchase. I use this as a daily commuter, as well as my weekender. I've actually flown across the country with this bag as my carry-on for a 5 day trip; it has the capability to shrink & stretch to your needs. Not only is it super versatile, it's a super comfy pack - I've always felt cozy wearing it. Seriously, if you're having second thoughts, don't. It's a rad bag and I'll repair/reuse/purchase it again if this one ever takes one for the team. Good bag, 10/10

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this backpack!!!!!! I got this bag to use as a commuter bag to take to work and I love it!! It's the perfect size and although the color is pretty unorthodox, that's my favorite part. It's also worked great as a weekender and for camping trips. Bigger than it looks. Would recommend --especially at sale price.
