Additional Information

A highly weather-resistant gear hauler with burly wheels and a telescoping handle.

Learn More Close
We decided the wheel was a pretty good invention after all, so we added two of them to our rugged Black Hole™ bags and created this super-burly, smooth-rolling duffel. Highly weather-resistant, it will protect your gear from rough handling and hold everything you need for an extended trip. Its main compartment is accessed by a zippered U-shaped lid, which has a pair of zippered mesh pockets on the underside to hold small items. A zippered exterior pocket provides a secure, easy-access place for your boarding pass, energy bar or paperback. The sturdy frame sheet protects the duffel from baggage-handler abuse and keeps your Black Hole™ upright, even when it’s loaded to the max. Oversized wheels deliver a smooth ride, whether you’re crossing the tarmac or traversing a cobblestone street. Carrying options include the main webbing handles (with snap closure), a two-position telescoping handle, or the two haul loops on either end. You can lash additional gear to the outside with the four corner-mounted daisy chains. Made from 15-oz 900-denier polyester ripstop (50% solution-dyed) with a TPU-film laminate and a DWR (durable water repellent) finish.

bluesign® Approved Fabric

Patagonia has worked with bluesign technologies since 2000 to evaluate and reduce resource consumption in our materials supply chain, and to assist us with managing the chemicals, dyes and finishes used in the process. bluesign technologies, based in Switzerland, works at each step in the textile supply chain to approve chemicals, processes, materials, and products that are safe for the environment, safe for workers, and safe for the end customers.

In 2007, Patagonia became the first brand to officially join the network of bluesign® system partners.

Any fabric you see that’s bluesign® approved offers the highest level of consumer safety by employing methods and materials in their manufacture that conserve resources and minimize impacts on people and the environment.

Water Resistant

DWR (durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

Black Hole™ Wheeled Duffel 120L is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 36.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tough! I used my duffle on a month-long overseas trip. Unlike every other bag I've dragged all over the world, my Black Hole duffle was unscathed after 6 airline flights. Plenty of room for all my gear and no dust made it in. A great choice!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's a Mule! Took the 120L and 70L to Australia. 2 Suits in their dry cleaning plastic came out of the bag as good as any hard case. Easy to pull around. Great solid product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great bag for a lot of stuff Each of my family members has a Black Hole 120lL and they served us well. When the airlines were particularly harsh on on of the bags, by bending the axle and puncturing the back of the bag, Patagonia fixed the bag for us. We don't go anywhere without them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seemingly Bomb proof (probably shouldn't say bomb) Great bag, solid functioning zippers and rollers. Hold two ropes, rack and slings with helmet and clothes!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to travel with Really Happy with the purchase! I was able to fit enough clothes for a few months...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sweet, big bag Filled it with all the chaos needed for a ski trip to Europe and didn't really mind pulling it across Heathrow on our connection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the money! Bought this a month ago and glad I did... took a ski trip to Colorado and had to take a snowcat ride to cabin with gear in the back. Got to the cabin with my bag covered in 6" of snow and everything was still dry! Great bag for travels that require tough gear

Rated 5 out of 5 by from rugged two trips so far and the airlines have treated this bag like . . . well, like airlines do. Looked 3 years old off the first carousel but mostly all cosmetic ugliness.
