Whistler’s dramatic weather turns surly faster than you can stick an Ollie. Reach for this 3-in-1 H2No® Performance Standard jacket to keep him warm when conditions are huffing and puffing outside. It features a 2-layer, 4.6-oz 100% polyester ripstop shell with a waterproof/breathable barrier and a DWR (durable water repellent) finish for absolute storm protection. The interior zip-out liner has compressible 150-g Thermogreen® insulation (90% recycled), and a quilted, street-savvy design. Wear the shell or liner alone, or combine them when the storm settles in. The shell includes fully-taped seams, a 3-panel hood with a brim and an elasticized gusset, tough, 2.5-layer nylon fabric over the shoulders, a slick polyester-mesh lining for easy layering, a integrated mini-powder skirt and a snap loop that attaches to our Boys’ Insulated Snowshot Pants to seal out spindrift. Other features: zippered handwarmer pockets with reflective webbing pulls, a zippered chest pocket with cable routing opening, internal drawcord and adjustable cuffs and a hand-me-down ID label.

bluesign® Approved Fabric

Patagonia has worked with bluesign technologies since 2000 to evaluate and reduce resource consumption in our materials supply chain, and to assist us with managing the chemicals, dyes and finishes used in the process. bluesign technologies, based in Switzerland, works at each step in the textile supply chain to approve chemicals, processes, materials, and products that are safe for the environment, safe for workers, and safe for the end customers.

In 2007, Patagonia became the first brand to officially join the network of bluesign® system partners.

Any fabric you see that’s bluesign® approved offers the highest level of consumer safety by employing methods and materials in their manufacture that conserve resources and minimize impacts on people and the environment.

Weatherproof

2-layer H2No® Performance Standard shell fabrics are completely waterproof, windproof and breathable.

Designed for a wide range of uses, from backpacking to snowboarding, 2-layer H2No® Performance Standard shell fabrics utilize a taffeta or mesh lining rather than a bonded scrim to protect the waterproof/breathable barrier. The lining increases the garments wicking ability, durability and next-to-skin comfort.

2-layer H2No® Performance Standard shell fabrics are coated with DWR
(durable water repellent) fabric finish that repels light rain and snow. In conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

All products bearing the H2No mark have been vigorously tested for durability in our Killer Wash.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Jacket Ever I bought this for my son at Christmas. We went snowboarding at the Summit at Snoqualmie and afterwards he thanked me. He said it was the first time he had stayed dry and warm while snowboarding. No more hand-me-down snowboarding clothes!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from worked great for NY trip - needs more pockets! My son chose to take this jacket along on a recent spring road trip for hiking city streets while anticipating cold winds, rain or sleet this April. It was great! He could choose which layer to wear walking to the subway or hiking around Niagra Falls and museums. Kept him warm and dry on the ferry to Ellis Island when the winds were strong and cold. Only issue: NEEDS MORE POCKETS! Not only does the top layer need internal pockets, the under layer jacket has NONE! Kids need pockets just as much as adults do. Please consider adding pockets when redesigning this jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worst weather - best jacket We recently went to Squaw Valley for a day of fun. It was raining at the base of the mountain and snowing sideways at the top. Cold, wet, miserable. One of my kids brought the wrong jacket so we walked into the Patagonia store at the base of the hill and bought this for my son. It was the last one left and it was one size too big but with the velcro at the sleeves, it was perfect. He was dry, warm and couldn't care less about the weather. Worst weather - empty hill - new jacket - happy kids.
