Chasing wind swell means, well, wind. This warm girls’ jacket has a wind- and water-resistant 20-denier polyester mini-ripstop shell treated with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish, plus a wind-blocking polyester plain-weave lining. The full-zip front has an internal wind flap and spandex at the cuff; an adjustable drawcord hem also seal out cold air. Insulated with lightweight and compressible 60-g PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation Eco 100% polyester (55% recycled), the Nano Puff® Jacket serves as outerwear in cool conditions or as a midlayer when temperatures drop. In 2007, Patagonia became the first brand to officially join the network of bluesign® system partners.

We use PrimaLoft® insulation inside insulated garments for its warmth, compressibility, and soft comfort. While the human body uses energy to stay warm, PrimaLoft insulation uses a patented microfiber structure to help the body retain warmth and conserve energy.

The proprietary ultra-fine fibers of PrimaLoft insulation form a tight collection of air pockets that trap heat from your body and keep the cold out, providing an excellent warmth-to-weight ratio. When insulation gets wet, it loses these air pockets and consequently, its insulating properties. PrimaLoft ultra-fine fibers were developed to be water resistant so your insulation stays drier and maintains its insulating properties even when wet.

Girls' Nano Puff Jacket is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 19.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Threads coming out I bought one of these about a year ago and it started coming unthreaded after 1-2 uses. I also have the women's nano puff pullover and the same thing happened. I love Patagonia but this does seem to fall short compared to there other products, and believe me I have a lot of them. I really want to love this coat because it is very versatile; it works well anywhere from 50 degrees to the single digits. But I have to say I prefer my down sweater to this jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dauther L.O.V.E.S. her nano puff jacket We purchased the nano puff jacket for our 7 year old daughter who instantly fell in love it! Now with spring's warmer temps. it is hard for us to get her to take it off!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light and warm. In Richmond,VA, the weather can vary 30 degrees in 24 hours. So having a light but effective jacket is key. I bought this jacket for my 9 year old daughter, who has an athletic build. It is a little big, but we love it. I myself have the adult nanopuff. These jackets are warm and super light. They are comfortable and the material feels great against your skin. Great jacket!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good winter jscket Purchased for my granddaughter. Fits well. Not bulky. Only negative is that some of the stitching on the arms is coming out. Returned one and is was replaced. New jacket is doing the same thing but not as bad

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor zippers I have bought four of these jackets and everyone has had zipper issues. I own three in adult sizes and never have had issues. I am wondering if sub par materials are being used with these kids' jackets. The jackets have been for four different kids so I don't think it has to do with "user error". I won't be buying this jacket on sale or not on sale again. I'm disappointed with the poor quality even though they are colorful stylish jackets.
