Organic Cotton

In 1996, with an increased awareness of the dangers of pesticide use and synthetic fertilizers in growing conventional cotton, we began the exclusive use of organically grown cotton in all of our cotton products.

The quality of organic cotton is equal to or better than conventionally grown cotton, yet organically grown methods support biodiversity and healthy ecosystems, improve the quality of soil and often use less water. Growing organically takes more time, requires more knowledge and skill, and, for now, costs more. But it’s worth it.

To ensure we are buying cotton that is organic as defined by the USDA’s National Organic Program, we require numerous certificates issued by an accredited third-party certification body for every step of the supply chain, from farm to factories.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from These are better than most reviews suggest. I was skeptical based on a lot of negative reviews, but took the plunge anyway. I'm extremely happy that I did. These boxers are extremely comfortable and have what I would consider to be a great fit. The biggest hang up that most reviews hit on was related to the tags (which I get...they should be tagless...the low end brands know this, Patagonia should know this), but it was as simple as taking a pair of scissors and cutting the tag off - problem solved.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My, “go to” boxer! These boxers would get a five star if the scratchy tag in the back wasn’t so long. I understand why they moved it, it used to be in the middle of the back.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Small and disappointing. This is maybe my 20th pair of boxers from Patagonia, the first ones that aren't capiline. They run small compared to the same size in several other styles of the capiline versions. And the tags, four in all, are positioned off to the left side and are as irritating as everyone else says they are. It's the first time I've been disappointed with a Patagonia product. Today is the first and last day that I'll be wearing them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cotton is a really nice fabric on long trips First try with the cotton material. I think I like that even better than the capeline if there's no exercising involved

Rated 3 out of 5 by from tags in an irritating place/runs large. I wear only Patagonia underwear. Excepting this blended pair, I have only Capilene. I love this pattern though, so I decided to give them a shot. They run pretty large in the waist. I normally wear a small. These fit more like a medium--too loose to be a small. Worse than that, rather than stamp the tags/care instructions on the fabric like others, these have tags in a weird place that irritates the skin on my upper left butt cheek. Sure I can (and will) cut them off, but shouldn't have to. Otherwise, they're not uncomfortable, and I know that if I were wholly unsatisfied, Patagonia would replace them with an alternative, but that's not the issue. I would still recommend the product because these are small issues.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheaply made, horrible material, bad fit Patagonia has appearently gotten on the throw away clothing band wagon. These are literally see through, scratchy, and there is no butt in them. If you raise you legs they crawl right up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I like them I normally get the silk weight boxers but they didn't have any in the sale ,so I got these . They are working great and I like the organic cotton.
