Staying warm without overheating is critical. The Nano-Air® Light Hybrid Vest traps heat at your core—where you need it most—but lets off steam to keep you dry and comfortable. The front of the vest warms and protects with warm-when-wet FullRange® insulation (40-g) sandwiched between a plain-weave liner and a lightweight yet durable, weather-shedding 100% nylon ripstop shell with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish. The back of the vest features a super stretchy, airy waffle knit that swiftly wicks moisture, controls odor and dissipates heat. The center-front zipper has a zipper garage for comfort on the chin, and zippered handwarmer pockets rest easily under a harness or pack. Stretch binding at the armholes and hem seal in warmth.
  • Light yet durable 100% nylon ripstop shell and plain-weave lining offer generous mechanical stretch and exceptional breathability, with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish
  • Revolutionary 40-g FullRange® insulation warms and stretches; combined with the shell and lining, this creates excellent mechanical stretch and unprecedented air permeability (40CFM on front; 130CFM knit on back)
  • Airy, wicking waffle knit on the side-and-back panel manages excess heat and moisture
  • Minimal, center-front zipper with low-profile zipper garage
  • Two handwarmer pockets are zippered, welted and low-bulk to wear comfortably with a harness or pack
  • Stretch binding at armholes and hem to seal in warmth
  • 181 g (6.4 oz)

Water Resistant

DWR (durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

Odor Resistant

Polygiene® odor control permanently protects your garments from smelling like a middle school locker room. Sweat itself is odorless, but it creates the conditions that bacteria need to multiply, and some of those bacteria produce odors. Polygiene permanent odor control stops the growth of odor-causing bacteria on fabrics, so you can wear more and wash less.

Active only on the fabric surface, Polygiene permanent odor control does not interfere with perspiration or with the skin’s natural bacterial flora. Polygiene particles are more than 100 times larger than nanoparticles and therefore are too large to penetrate to the skin’s barrier. Polygiene-treated fabrics have received Medical Class 1 approval in Europe, the same class that includes bandages.

Men's Nano-Air® Light Hybrid Vest is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Vest in the West Never owned or wanted a vest but decided to try this product out. Turns out it was my number 1 clothing choice on the trails during the winter and cold spring days. Throw it over a short or long sleeve capilene and the snug fit provides plenty of core warmth on 25 degree plus days while allowing the extremities to breath. Bonus feature having moderately sized pockets for accessories or gloves. Marty McFly would be stoked to sport this vest!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best vest I've owned I'm a vest guy; you either get vests or you don't. The hybrid is something I designed in my head a long time ago wearing a fleece vest and sweating from a heavy pack on my back. Since my purchase I've worn it probably 50 or so times running, hiking, to the grocery, doing yard work. It's the perfect insulating layer for someone like me who usually runs warm but need a little something to take the edge off. The other good thing is that I rarely need to wash it as it never seems to smell bad.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great, but why so tight? I absolutely love this vest for all high energy activities. It's been the absolutely perfect layer under a dry suit, while nordic skiing and running... but why is it so tight? There has been a trend to have everything tighter and slimmer, but it's become dysfunctional. It fits great in the shoulders and upper body and then just slims down too much near the hips so that it rides up. Just loosen up things like this a little bit. Also, add a chest pocket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Year round mountain running must have Let me start by saying I'm not a vest guy this is my first one and I've pretty much worn the heck out of this thing this winter! This is one of the most useful garments I own for moving fast in the mountains second only to the Houdini. I've been using this vest over a long sleeve Patagonia mid weight underlayer and it's just right for most of my winter mountain adventures when I'm above treeline and the wind picks up I throw on the Houdini over everything and I'm good to go as long as I keep moving. I have a puffy in my pack I've yet to break it out since I've implemented this vest. Also I've been in below zero weather with wind and this setup kept me just right. If your a runner and you don't own this vest your missing out. I wear this vest under my jacket every day so far this winter to keep me nice and warm on cold days working outside. It's so light and it breaths very very well in the backside when running the design is outstanding ! 6' 189 lbs large fits me perfectly nice slim fit not baggy not tight its just right . Dwr coating is still alset even after probably 15-20 washes at least. This vest rocks !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome material, front and back I've been wearing this often for a month. It has great ventilation on the back and still provides good warmth on the front. It is light and stretchy. I love it!
