Imagination, a shred of finesse and a willingness to let go will see you through many dicey moments—your passion to ride will get you through the rest. Built for freedom, spontaneity and never standing still, the Powder Bowl is our most versatile hard shell for riding the frontside steeps or hitting the backcountry’s promise in any condition. It features a tough, 2-layer GORE-TEX® fabric for durably waterproof/breathable and windproof storm performance. A DWR (durable water repellent) finish increases wet-weather protection by sloughing saturated snow and icy rain. The torso has a brushed polyester mesh interior to wick moisture, while slick mesh in the arms glides smoothly over underlayers. The removable, 2-way-adjustable, helmet-compatible hood includes a laminated visor for optimal visibility in blowing snow. Inside, a fully featured powder skirt (with webbing loop that attaches to any Patagonia® Snow pants) seals out spindrift and cold air, and low-profile pit zips release heat when you’re steaming on long climbs. Other details include coated, watertight Slim Zips; cord-lock adjustments at the hood and hem; an embedded RECCO® avalanche rescue reflector; and a highly articulated fit for dynamic motion. Pockets: two handwarmers; one chest with a secure media pocket and cable routing; a forearm pass pocket; and two interior pockets (one drop-in, one zippered stash). Fabric is bluesign® approved.

Men's Powder Bowl Jacket is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Soaked through in powder. Used this jacket for the first time in Whistler in a good snow day. Was soaked through by noon, damp and wet for the rest of the day. Next day same thing with light snow - jacket absorbed water from melted snow and was damp after a few hours. Warm jacket if not snowing, good fit, except arms are too short. Disappointing performance for the price and especially for powder days despite the name.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fought off 50miles winds at -15 The men's Power bowl non-insulated jacket is heavy duty with water proof gore-tex and enough warmth for super cold days but light and comfy enough if the day warms up. My first experience with the garment was a a Patroller School in VT when we hit -15 with over 50 mile an hour winds and this thing kept me warm, wind proof and dry. It's turning into my goto for when I'm not wearing a cross and even grab it when I'm taking the dogs out or going to the movies with my girl.. Great job Patagonia! You continue to be my gear of choice

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Powder Bowl Jacket This ski shell is very nice and the material has a high quality feel to it. All the zippers work very well and are water resistant. The jacket is heavier than similar style shell jackets. The mesh lining is nice to keep the "clammy" feel of the gore tex off your skin. I really like the removable hood which is not found on a lot of gore tex shells anymore. The cut is fairly athletic but has room for an R1 hoody and a nano puff or other similar insulator piece. I am 5'9" 185lbs. with an athletic/muscular build and I bought a medium which is my usual size. If you want it loose or relaxed I would look at the free ride version. I thought this was nicer than the competitions jacket that was a hundred more. Very happy as usual with Patagonia. I don't own anything from Patagonia that I regret buying. I purchased this and the snow shot jacket at the same time and chose this one. The snow shot was very nice also.
