Providing maximum performance, packability and comfort, our Middle Fork Packable Waders feature a streamlined design, innovative, low-bulk seamless synthetic rubber booties, and light-but-durable H2No® Performance Standard fabric with a waterproof/breathable barrier and a DWR (durable water repellent) finish. The lightest, most packable and most technically advanced waders we’ve ever made, the upper body is built from 3-layer, 3.5-oz 100% recycled nylon; the seat and legs are 4-layer, 4.5-oz 100% polyester (70% recycled). Better yet, the Middle Forks roll up into their own compact 8" x 13" stuffsack and weigh in at just 26 ounces. They’re optimized for travel, warm weather and backcountry fishing, but don’t let the light weight fool you—these revolutionary waders are built to last and work just as well for the home pool, with heavy-duty scuff guards and single-seam construction which moves the seams away from high-wear areas. The strong and stretchy seamless bootie design also adds durability by eliminating the most common points of failure or leakage. An interior TPU-welded waterproof pocket keeps phone and key fob dry, a drop-down suspension system allows easy wear at waist height in summer conditions, and an adjustable wading belt keeps everything in place.

3-layer H2No® Performance Standard fabrics are completely waterproof, windproof and breathable by virtue of an advanced combination of elements: a water-repellent shell fabric and a waterproof/breathable membrane bonded with an ultralight knit backer. The entire fabric package is highly packable and designed for prolonged use in extreme weather.
3-layer H2No™ Performance Standard shell fabrics are coated with DWR (durable water repellent) fabric finish that repels light rain and snow. In conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.
All products bearing the H2No® mark have been vigorously tested for durability in our 24 Killer Wash.
Patagonia developed the 4-layer fabric construction for our waders to increase breathability and abrasion resistance, move moisture away from the body, and decrease the weight.
Our exterior fabrics are densely woven 100% polyester microfibers for durability and puncture resistance. On one side we apply our H2No® waterproof coating for waterproof/breathable performance. On the other side we apply a Hydrophilic laminate that pulls moisture away from the body so it can be passed out through the exterior shell.
To protect the hydrophilic laminate we use a soft polyester tricot lining that increases abrasion resistance yet maintains a soft, supple drape. Finally, we apply a DWR (durable water repellent) treatment as the first line of defense in keeping these waders waterproof.
