Water Resistant

DWR (durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Needs tweaking While I know that Patagonia designs toward the most versatile, general usage for each product, this is one that I wish was more detailed to the claim of for "bike rides." It's a nice simple jacket, but for cycling the front should be a little shorter to avoid that irksome bagginess when you are bent over the pedals and the collar could really be much narrower and taller to prevent cold air on the neck. (No one who is an XS has neck this wide, people!) Even on a quick townie ride, I found A LOT of unwelcome air coming in around my neck, which is a bummer. // I use much of my cycling apparel for skate skiing and the same critique of this piece would apply for that usage...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect walking jacket! I bought this on sale a couple of years ago thinking I would get some occasional use out of it little did I know it became my go to jacket. I live in the mountains north of Tucson and wear it when I walk every evening. It has been the perfect go to jacket for our mild climate. I even leave in my car during our hot summer months to wear while shopping indoors where they blast the air conditioners. It is the perfect light weight jacket. I like it so much I decided to purchase a 2nd one. The 1st one I bought in my usual size but I decided to size up for my 2nd one. It has a slim fit and I have broad shoulders so even though it fits ok over a t-shirt if you want to layer under it you may need to size up. The fabric has some stretch to it and is very comfortable and wind resistant. I would defiantly recommend it as a light weight jacket in mild climates.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent running jacket True to size and color and lightweight - I ordered Medium (5' 4", 140 lbs) and it fits perfect with enough room for thin layering. The exterior front zip pocket if perfect for my iPhone, so that don't have to fuss with an arm band. Machine washes well.
