Learn More Close
From first sticks through final turns, on mixed routes and backcountry tours, the Nano-Air® Jacket represents a breakthrough in active insulation for high-output, stop-and-go alpine missions. Its stretchy and highly breathable fabric package integrates the qualities of fleece, soft shell and puffy by combining our warm-when-wet FullRange™ insulation with a plain-weave liner and a lightweight yet durable, weather-shedding 100% nylon ripstop shell with DWR (durable water repellent) finish—all of which means you can put it on and leave it on. The jacket’s incredibly soft, supple feel and full mechanical stretch allow for a close, femininely sculpted fit over baselayers and an uninhibited range of motion. At chilly belays or in frigid conditions, pull on a lightweight shell and the Nano-Air’s thermal properties skyrocket. The left-chest pocket and two above-harness handwarmer pockets all close with trim, low-bulk zippers. The center-front zipper has a storm flap and zipper garage, while stretch binding at the cuffs and a dual-adjustable drawcord hem seal in warmth.
  • Light, yet durable 100% nylon ripstop shell and plain-weave liner offer generous mechanical stretch and exceptional breathability, with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish
  • Revolutionary 60-g FullRange™ insulation warms and stretches; combined with the shell and liner, this creates a jacket with generous mechanical stretch and unprecedented air permeability (40CFM)
  • Iconic Nano Puff® brick quilting in the side panels, articulated patterning and other quilting details improve shape and durability
  • Center-front zipper has wicking interior storm flap and zipper garage at chin for next-to-skin comfort
  • Two handwarmer pockets and a left-chest pocket are zippered, welted and low-bulk to wear comfortably with a harness or pack
  • Stretch binding at the cuffs and a dual-adjustable drawcord hem seal in warmth
  • Shell: 1.3-oz 20-denier 100% nylon ripstop. Lining: 2-oz 50-denier 100% nylon plain weave. Both shell and lining with mechanical stretch and a DWR (durable water repellent) finish. Insulation: 60-g FullRange™ 100% polyester stretch insulation
  • 292 g (10.3 oz)
  • Made in Vietnam.

Water Resistant

DWR
(durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

Women's Nano-Air Jacket is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 53.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from A great jacket with a few caveats I'd been watching this jacket for a while and waiting for a good sale, because one of my climbing partners owns it and loves it. When I was able to pick one up at half price, I went for it. First impressions - the jacket is super soft and lightweight, and insulated without being puffy (I hate puffy jackets). It's pretty true to size for a slim fit - I'm 5'7" and ~140lbs and could probably wear an S or an XS (I went smaller because I was intending for this to be a late fall/winter climbing jacket, and it needs to fit under my harness). I took it on a climbing trip to Rumney in late October, and it was the perfect outer layer for approaches - kept me warm but not sweating. Once we started climbing, I was really impressed by how lightweight and unobtrusive the jacket was - and again, was the perfect layer to keep me warm but not too hot in the mid-40s temps - but unfortunately, it snagged really easily on the rock and pulled out threads/left tiny holes. The Nano-Air is marketed as a climbing jacket (in addition to hiking/running/other activities), so I was really bummed about this - if only it had been more durable and stood up better to abrasion, it would've been the perfect climbing jacket. I ended up returning mine, but would still recommend it for hiking or cold weather running - basically any activity that doesn't involve a lot of abrasion!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DO IT I attend school in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, where students walk to classes in below freezing blizzards (-60 degree windchill was the coldest i've experienced so far). Although I haven't experienced the winter in this new nano air jacket yet, I can vouch and say that this is the most mind-blowing article of warming gear I have ever owned. I rode my bike home from work tonight (35 degrees, windy and heavy rain) wearing nothing but a t-shirt underneath this jacket. I was so warm, the only thing that was frozen by the time I got home were my legs, face and my hands. This jacket repels rain and wind crazy well, and the material is oddly satisfying. It's extremely light weight, yet it has just the right amount of stretch to where i'm comfortable hiking, climbing, or cuddling up in my hammock while wearing it. You can wear it indoors and not overheat, but it's also so warm that you can bike home in the freezing rain/wind and still feel great. I first wore the nano air jacket back in June because my friend owned it, and i've wanted to purchase one ever since. I finally decided to get my own months later, and i'm so glad I did. Without a doubt, one of the best investments i've ever made.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light weight and warm! Light weight yet warm. Perfect for layering! Fitted jacket is great to wear under a shell or on its own. However, due to fit bulky shirts cannot be worn under the jacket unless you size up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super light, incredibly warm, feels like a cloud Bought this jacket a few weeks ago. Loved it so much that I immediately ordered one in another color. The jacket fits beautifully, the fabric has some stretch to it so it is perfect as activewear, and it is amazingly warm, especially considering how lightweight it is. Also love that it is machine washable (I hang to dry, and it dries in no time). I wear it for sports in which I sweat, but the jacket keeps me warm even when wet as it wicks moisture away and dries quickly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Performed well I had my eye on Patagonia's Nano-Air jackets for a while and jumped at a chance to get one while they were on sale. After some research, I was a little concerned with how well the jacket would hold up under windy conditions, but I went ahead and bought it thinking I could always put a shell over it. I ended up using this jacket to climb Mt. Humphreys in Flagstaff a week ago and it really did a great job without a shell. Conditions at the summit were in the 30s with high winds and while my face was freezing, my core stayed warm. Definitely glad to have gotten such a good deal on this jacket!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Live in this jacket The jacket is soft, not shiny (for those who aren't into the shiny factor), light, and warm. I've worn it in light rain and have stayed dry, and it keeps me warm in Pennsylvania fall weather. I've lived in the jacket since I got it -- perfect for hiking, walking, napping, sitting in cold offices, etc.
