We kept the irresistible allure of “just a few more pitches” in mind when making our Nano Puff® Bivy Pullover; it’s light, windproof, warm and has the pared-down features that help shift the odds in your favor. The water-repellent, compressible 60-g PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation Eco—with 55% postconsumer recycled content—has a superb warmth-to-weight ratio and maintains 98% of its warmth, even when wet. The interlocking fibers of the lightweight, 100% recycled polyester shell and liner fabrics block wind, shed moisture and enhance the DWR (durable water repellent) performance. When the going gets cold(er), the kangaroo-style handwarmer pocket and a close-fitting, under-the-helmet hood with elastic binding bumps up the comfort level. The zippered drop-in torso pocket doubles as a stuffsack with a reinforced carabiner clip-in loop. With a deep venting center-front zipper, elastic-bound cuffs and a drawcord-adjustable hem.

Recycled Polyester

In 1993, we adopted fleece into our product line made from post consumer recycled (PCR) plastic soda bottles. We were the first outdoor clothing manufacturer to do so. PCR® clothing was a positive step towards a more sustainable system – one that uses fewer resources, discards less and better protects people’s health.

Today, we’re able to utilize more sources for recycled polyester and offer it on more garments such as Capilene® baselayers, shell jackets, board shorts, and fleece. We now recycle used soda bottles, unusable manufacturing waste, and worn out garments (including our own) into polyester fibers to produce many of our clothes.

Using recycled polyester lessens our dependence on petroleum as a raw material source, curbs discards and reduces toxic emissions from incinerators.

Insulation

We use PrimaLoft® insulation inside insulated garments for its warmth, compressibility, and soft comfort. While the human body uses energy to stay warm, PrimaLoft insulation uses a patented microfiber structure to help the body retain warmth and conserve energy.

The proprietary ultra-fine fibers of PrimaLoft insulation form a tight collection of air pockets that trap heat from your body and keep the cold out, providing an excellent warmth-to-weight ratio. When insulation gets wet, it loses these air pockets and consequently, its insulating properties. PrimaLoft ultra-fine fibers were developed to be water resistant so your insulation stays drier and maintains its insulating properties even when wet.

Women's Nano Puff® Bivy Pullover is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great layering option! This hoodie is a great outer-layer for warm spring days and can transition to a mid-layer when the temperature drops. I love that it has two spacious pockets and a hood! Once it's on the fit is great, but is a little snug when getting it on and off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New favorite "hoody" I really love this jacket, especially for layering purposes. It fits perfectly under a rain or snow shell. It also works great as a light jacket and breaks the wind. My favorite part is that it has kangaroo pockets AND a zipped pocket. The fit is flattering and the dolomite blue color is gorgeous. The jacket is a bit expensive at full price, but is so versatile it's worth the price! I also own a nano puff zip jacket, but I think this pullover is even better. I typically wear a small in Patagonia jackets, and the small in this jacket fits perfectly (5'2'', 110 lb). I have enough room for a sweatshirt underneath and like my clothes a bit loose.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the style I just received my bivy in the mail this afternoon. I really like the look of this pullover. I wear a size medium in the synchilla snap t but went with a large in this bivy jacket because I read that it was kind of tight putting it on and i wanted it to be able to fall over my hips, which it does. It is a bit roomy in the chest but that doesn't bother me because I figure it will give me room to wear layers.I bought this for the purpose of sitting in early spring high school track meets which are always windy and rainy. I think it will work great for that..especially the hood. I don't understand all the complaints about the hood. The hood is AWESOME! It actually fits like a hood should and will be perfect for cold rainy and windy days. It is not breathable, so I do wonder how it will work for aerobic activity...we'll see. I bought the Maraschino red and it is pretty. Classic. I am 5 foot 8 and 150 pounds, for sizing reference.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love it but not durable I love the hood and kangaroo pouch - a great change from the pullover nano puff that I have had for many years. I got tons of life out of my old one and decided that I needed to upgrade to one that was not so well-worn. Unfortunately, after wearing this one for only a few hours, I came home to find a rip down the back of it. I patched it and overall still love the jacket, but it doesn't seem to have Patagonia durability that I expect. I am taking the old one on a trip this weekend, because I don't want to further damage the new one. It will likely only be an around-town puffy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfy! I purchased this thru outlet and am very pleased. I just wish it ALSO had side pockets and was longer. That being said I am still happy with it.
