bluesign® Approved Fabric

Patagonia has worked with bluesign technologies since 2000 to evaluate and reduce resource consumption in our materials supply chain, and to assist us with managing the chemicals, dyes and finishes used in the process. bluesign technologies, based in Switzerland, works at each step in the textile supply chain to approve chemicals, processes, materials, and products that are safe for the environment, safe for workers, and safe for the end customers.

In 2007, Patagonia became the first brand to officially join the network of bluesign® system partners.

Any fabric you see that’s bluesign® approved offers the highest level of consumer safety by employing methods and materials in their manufacture that conserve resources and minimize impacts on people and the environment.

Recycled Nylon

Although we’ve been using recycled polyester in our garments for 20 years, for some reason locked deep in polymer chemistry, nylon is more difficult to recycle than polyester. After years of research, development, and testing, we’re finally finding some recycled nylon fibers that are suitable for apparel.

Some of the recycled nylon we use comes from post-industrial waste fiber, yarn collected from a spinning factory, and waste from the weaving mills that can be processed into reusable nylon fiber.

We’re diligently searching for a success story with recycled nylon. The challenge lies ahead of us, and we’re committed to discovering the best methods to recycle nylon fiber, but it appears this evolution will take many years.

Women's Vosque 3-In-1 Parka is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 31.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ill fitting This was a disappointment in that even though it said it was 'slim fit' it's still kind of like a bag. It's like Patagonia women's clothing is designed by someone who really likes the Barbi model: no hips and big breasts. Get it together, Patagonia. It wasn't like this with you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the versatility! I bought this before a trip, and was thrilled with the versatility of the 3 different options for the changing weather as I traveled. I think I would want something heavier for extremely cold weather, but this was perfect for late winter/early spring. It is also nice looking enough for city wear, and I got compliments! It does run small, and I had to order a size up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't beat 3 in 1 Just got this coat. Still need to try it out in colder weather but for milder spring weather I am loving the versatility. Took it on vacation and used the two pieces separately to keep out rain and some cool breezes. It looks good too. Only wish it had inside breast pockets on both pieces.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very warm I really like this jacket. It's so warm and versatile. I got a large because I thought a medium would be too tight around my straight non-feminine waist and it's a little boxy but I'm happy because I can fit sweaters and whatnot under it. Two thumbs up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect and versatile!! I bought this parka last month and it's perfect! Fits great and very warm! Can't wait to try it without the zip in lining as it gets warmer!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not old The temperature is not cold even by one digit. I am wearing it by bicycle commuting. It is comfortable because it plays water even if sudden rain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All-around excellent coat Bought this for my teenage daughter over a month ago and she had been wearing it everyday since. She loves it and claims it is very warm. We recently detached the inner down jacket and now the outer layer is perfect for cold, rainy spring days.
