Should Have read reviews first (Itchy and Tight when reversed)
This is my first Patagonia product and I really wanted to love it but now I see why it was on sale. I bought this to replace my lost north face I've been wearing for over 10 years but this wont work for me. It's advertised as reversible which I liked but it is unwearable with the fleece side in. Without long sleeves it is incredibly itchy... Read More on your arms and is also very snug when revered. If this wasn't advertised as reversible it would be ok but I would still miss my north face with the pit vents and all zippered pockets so I don't loose my goods. I will be returning this product.
Thanks for the review, Sean. We're sorry about the fit issues you encountered with this jacket. If you're looking for something comparable we recommend the [Men's Reversible Silent Down Fleece Jacket](https://www.patagonia.com/product/mens-reversible-silent-down-fleece-jacket/20670.html?dwvar_20670_color=NENA). It will be warmer since it includes down insulation, but it's still worth checking out!

Warmer
My arms are a little big and this dress of arm parts that not elastic. So If your arms are thick, I recommended to choose a little bigger size because the arm bending little difficult.
I have had mine for about 6 months, has been my favorite jacket and all that I have worn this winter. This record freezing azz cold, wet, snowy winter.
Warm and pretty good with thermal regulation, keeps me comfortable inside and warm outdoors. A little bit itchy but thats thanks to wool fibres so no complaints. Little rain protection is great too!
Hi Paul! Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. We're sorry to hear the jacket fit a bit small. Your satisfaction is always guaranteed so you're welcome to [return](https://www.patagonia.com/returns.html).

Very warm, very comfortable
Surprisingly warm. Very comfortable fit. I love the slash pockets on both sides of the reversible jacket.
The color and style is fine. The faux wool is horribly uncomfortable. As soon as it hit my skin it was extremely itchy. It's not soft at all. Wearing the wool on the outside is fine and fits much better, but if you turn it inside out where the wool is on the inside, it gets tighter and itchy. I wanted to like this product a lot. Great product
Great product love it . If I was in the middle of nowhere in an emergency situation I can trust this jacket to protect me against the cold and wind, yes there are better options but if this is what you had in your car or on you it will definitely work. Very happy with it.

I love the reversible feature which makes the fleece pair with almost any outfit. Its warm and heavy which is great if its my only layer. The only drawback would be that its difficult to fit underneath a coat (when skiing for instance) leading me to use older products which is a bit of a bummer.
I really like this coat. I've had it for a couple months now and it's done well so far in Wisconsin winter. I've been comfortable in walks below zero and I've worn it in a lot of different situations. I wish the pockets had a more cozy lining, but I've usually got gloves on when I'm wearing it so not a big deal.
I've been looking for a new mid-coat to have for the season, and this fit so well! It's much warmer than I've expected it to be and it's very cozy, sometimes going the whole work day with this on. My only complaint is the cuffs could be more loosened, they make it hard to have a watch on, but it's only a minor complaint. Lo... Read Moreve the rest of it!
I never intended to use both sides if this reversible jacket. I wanted to use the fleece side for the interior, but the jacket seems to be a size smaller when you do that. I like it!
I wrote this because I saw so many folks kinda' dissing this jacket. The woolyester side has a bit of a wool itch to it at first, but after a bit of wearing I am having no problem at all. I really like it, I always wear medium in Patagonia jackets and that is the same with this (5'10"/155lbs). Both sides are no problem at all in my o... Read Morepinion. I have an ancient Pile Glisade reversible that this is related to and I understand the itchy comments, but I also agree with the idea that after a bit of wearing the fleece side is not any bother at all. About the only thing I'd add is to have put zippers on the side pockets, both sides. That would allow me to keep items, wallet, phones, etc. without worrying they might slip out - don't change the pocket size though as the size is great. Cowabunga, Tom
I ordered this jacket previously in XL but reluctantly returned it because the sizing. With the wool lining facing outwards and the nylon facing in, it fit perfectly. The furry lining facing inwards is what makes this jacket VERY warm. Fuzzy side out for warmer temps. I re-ordered this jacket again in XL and XXL. Fuzzy side inwards with XXL is perfect and fuzzy side out is too big. While it is reversible, seems I have a choice to make on which way I want to wear the jacket to decide which size to keep. This is a super nice choice for winter weather
This jacket has the itchiest lining I've ever felt from Patagonia. I was hoping the sherpa would be like any other other sherpa products they have. But something is off about it. I got this jacket in two different colors to try on. And both of them are uncomfortable on the skin. The whole point is to have a reversible jacket. But the sherpa li... Great deal for the price
Bought this for my husband, he loves it! Only negative is the Sherpa material is a bit itchy. We thought it wouldve been more soft. Overall its a great jacket
This jacket fit well, but it was kind of ugly. The fleece side looked cheap and was very itchy to the skin. It reminded of shaggy, industrial carpet form the 70s. The nylon side looked decent, but the way it was stitched, I could foresee these stitches getting caught and pulling out due to normal wear and tear. There should've been more pocket... Warm - Weird Sizing
This jacket has a solid warmth to it, also breathes well w/ the fleece turned inward, slightly itchy, but not overly so. Read Moree in movement and ease of putting on or taking off the jacket, the reversible is a great feature to have. The sizing is pretty strange, ordered a size up from my usual - Medium- and got a Large instead (am 5ft 9 in tall and weigh 130 Lb). The Large has sleeves barely long enough and is equal to many other Medium jackets and shirts from Patagonia. The torso is pretty massive and will have to hem it down a bit to attain the proper fit. Its a really warm jacket, has solid design and is comfortable and easy wearing. Please be sure to order a size up, because it runs small in all but torso diameter. Thanks guys!
Fall and Spring coat for wearing to work and casual wear
Very happy with this coat so far. It is not thin - due to the fleece. So far I have only worn it with the fleece inside as a liner and have been satisfied. Suits it purpose well
I really wanted to make this jacket work since it looks great, but I couldn't get passed how itchy it is. I couldn't wear it with a short sleeve because it bothered my arms too much. I ordered a large and the size was fine, but fitted. I wouldn't be able to layer with it without looking like a marshmallow. Sadly, I'll be returni... Read Moreng this.

The fleece is itchy
It's a handsome jacket and keeps me very warm. I like having the choice of reversing it. The fleece is itchy on bare arms so only wearing a t-shirt is uncomfortable. I either reverse it or wear another layer.
This jacket came in a beautiful blue color. I was drawn to it because its reversible. Although the brown woolyester side was incredibly itchy. I saw online that if I h... Read Moreand wash it in conditioner and fabric softener that it will be better. But thats a lot of extra effort for a NEW jacket. I expected to just be able to comfortably wear the jacket right away and Im disappointed that that is not the case. Very disappointed in how itchy this product is. Ive never had this type of quality issue with any Patagonia product before.
Hi Katherine, thank you for submitting this review. We're so sorry to hear you experienced this kind of reaction! We haven't been hearing about other customers having this experience. In general we don't recommend using fabric softener on our products as it makes the fabric less breathable. Nevertheless, we want you to be happy with everything you get from us, so we will contact you about options for returning this jacket.

Comfortable and
It's reversible design(casual also good for work) Super warm but not soft as I thought.
First, I thought by ordering a large it might be a bit small on me. This not only fits it has a bit of room for layering. I own at least 10 Patagonia pieces of clothing in a 2X. They've all fit fine except this item and a Downdrift jacket. Both are recent purchases and I hope it doesn't mean Patagonia is making things smaller now.
I absolutely love this jacket. It's comfortable, warm, versatile, and the borealis colour-way has a nice retro look. I use it as both a casual everyday sweater and warm under-layer for colder days. No complaints -- I'll be taking it with me wherever I go.
The jacket is really cool how it inner-swappable. However, when you wear the fleece part, it feels like the jacket is scratching your arms. Overall, its a great buy, but that was the only thing I didn't like.
Thank you for submitting this review, Christopher. We're sorry to hear these sleeves weren't a good fit for you! This review is based on
This review is based on a test fit while in my house. I have not worn it out in the field. I would only wear this produ... Read Morect while working, such as collecting wood, if the temperatures were sub-zero. For this reason, I will probably be wearing some combination of base layer(s) when donning this product. That is the problem. While the product description states it is reversible I was uncomfortable wearing this jacket with the fuzz on the inside and over a button-down work shirt. Too tight a fit! Wearing it over a flannel shirt would be impossible. However, the fit is much looser if the slick side is worn on the inside. I vote no on it being reversible! The material and construction of the garment are as expected of Patagonia, excellent. I will probably store the jacket in my truck to use in the event of a significant delay and related bivy. Perfect use!
Very well made. I wanted a reversible jacket that functions in different environments. This jacket is perfect and I really like the brown and green color combination.
It works for me by itself or layered under a quality shell recycled fiber is a bit scratchy but we all have to give and take other than the color resembles Moose hide during moose season lol other than that its a great addition for cold country!
The Sherpa lining is scratchy, ornery, and everlasting. It feels like you had a good lining and then lightly singed the ends before selling it to customers. I would have to wear a long sleeve shirt under this jacket to wear it for any extended amount of time. Also, I couldnt tell from the photos the other side is quilted. Uff-da. Hey, this is true ... Ordered a large and fit like i was expecting it to fit. Its super warm. I love the red/gray color combo. If there was one fault it is that the fuzzy inside is kinda scratchy. But honestly who cares. Love the jacket.
I always buy large size jackets from Patagonia. This is the only one that has fit so snugly. Maybe because the fleece is so thick? (This last is not a complaint; I love the fleece lining.
Purchased for my husbands birthday and he loves it. Hes a big coat guy and this is the only jacket hes worn since he received it and he has many other paragon outdoor apparel.
We're glad to hear you're liking this jacket and hope it keeps you warm for many years to come. Thanks for the review, George!

Very toasty
This is by far the warmest and most versatile jacket I have owned, and for someone who rarely, if ever, reviews products, I feel compelled to write this review.

Read Moreool felt a little prickly on my arms when I first put it on, but you quickly get used to it and now I don't notice it al all.
The warmth and the wind protection is incomparable! I would rate it warmer than my 800 fill down winter jack. It is bulkier, however, and not compressible, so I would think twice before taking it on a long backpacking trip.
The reversible feature is great (its like flipping your undies inside out when you are loath to do laundry - just joking!) I have even been complimented on it by my fellow swimmers after a skins dip in the San Francisco Bay.
It is definitely pricey and I would be sad if it were stolen, but till then, I'm looking forward to many cozy seasons ahead.
