Stylish, fits well but not my thing
Warm and nice fit, stylish but has a synthetic feel which I do no prefer

Thanks for the review, Joseph! We're sorry to hear that you were not a fan of the synthetic feel of this hoody. You're correct, this hoody is made up of 91% recycled polyester/9% spandex for the shell. You can check on the material by clicking on the "Specs & Features" tab on the product page. This hoody kind of does it all. Living in northern Minnesota means always finding new and better layers. This hoody is one of the first true 3-4 season use layers I've found. I use it as a mid-layer in the winter and more like a jacket on cool summer nights. The slight bit of wind protection is the best part. The lightweight (similar to nano a... Comfortable, perfect fit
I am built like an 80s wrestler, which is why I love Patagonia tops so much. This one does not disappoint. Perfect fit. Soft. Warmer than you would expect. The hood is a great fit as well. My only complaint is its a half zip, but I knew that going in. Definitely one you will use way more than you thought.
Replaced my other hoodies
I don't know what I expected from this, I just sort of bought it on a whim; and I love it. I had some hoodies from Public Rec and those are out and this is in. In fact I decided to get a second one in another color. It is comfortable and surprisingly comfortable. I wear it around the house but also put it on the other day to hang outside when... Looks and feels great
Nice casual pullover hoodie, that works well for walks and day hikes. It's fairly warm, and is an all season coat with adequate layering for the PNW. The soft interior is great, and I appreciate the hidden zipped pocket as a quick stash for essentials like a wallet or keys. As far as sizing goes, I'm usually between an M and L with Patag... Read Moreonia depending on the fit, and this one fits well in a medium, with enough room for a light base-layer underneath. That said, would love to hear thoughts on how to prolong the loft of the synthetic insulation, and if there are any do's/don'ts (backpacks, frequent washing, friction etc) to reduce loft degradation down the line.
Such a great hoody that I purchased a 2nd one within a week! The lining is very comfortable to the skin and the outer shell protects from the wind and provides water resistance. The quarter zip is very nice to let out heat when needed or to zip up when its breezy. Works great on the trail and also around town. Love it!
Like a regular hoodie, but technical
This is my new favorite hoodie. It's just like a regular cotton hoodie, but with technical materials and a form fitting hood. It's cozy like a cotton hoodie, but dries quickly and is has a neat little zipper pocket for your keys. The only difference is that it is less baggy than a regular hoodie so you can't really layer under it, bu... Read Moret it fits under a softshell really well. I've barely taken it off since I got it.
I purchased this hoody for my boyfriend as a Christmas present this year. He asked for a hoody that was lightweight, polyester, and casual. When I found this one I knew it was perfect for him. He has commented how comfortable and lightweight it really is and says he will be wearing this every single day. It met all the needs of a mid layer because ... Comfortable Pullover With Nice Pockets
I like the style of this hooded pullover. It has a nice kangaroo front pocket as well as a zipped side pocket that I can stash my phone in easily and securely. One thing I did notice, when the package arrived from Patagonia it had a strange, factory chemical smell in the fabric. Washing it once has helped but it's still remained a bit. Hopefu... A puffy to live in
I love this hoody. It breaths well yet it is warm enough for chilly mornings. It creates a comfortable micro climate for you. I really like the soft hand of the inner and outer fabric, it is quiet and comfortable. No whooshing or crinkle, however I am guessing it won't deflect high winds or rain quite as well... Another Great Piece
I wanted a casual jacket with a bit more style than a puffer coat, so I grabbed this. It has the Patagonia fit of not being very athletically cut, which I wish would change. The only other issue is the padding behind the zipper does not offer protection against chafing or rubbing, which was a less than ideal design. But its very warm, very stylish,... Feels good but blousy
Too loose at the waist. Wish I could return

I purchased this hoodie back in December in black because I have an older one in blue that I still use and enjoy. It was extremely irritating and saddening when the new one had the front pocket seam separate after just 2 washes I really like this hoodie but, now its not functional due to the pocket separating

Hi Brian, we're very sorry to hear that pocket seam on your Pack In Pullover Hoody is beginning to unravel so soon after purchasing it. This sounds like something we can fix. We'd recommend sending this in for [repair](https://www.patagonia.com/repairs/) at your earliest convenience.
I've been living in it around the house since I got it since it is so soft and comfy. I also tested it outdoors hiking and it does a good job of breathing and brushing off passing rain showers. Overall, it is just a really great piece and doesn't feel techy at all.
Super Comfy, Super Warm
I've been living in this jacket for the last few days. I'm 5'10" and 165 and the medium fits perfectly; I even have abnormally long arms and the sleeves are just fine. It's warm enough to wear solo in 40+ degree weather and it's slim enough that you could layer (like underneath a down jacket or shell) easily. I love th... Almost 5 stars
Awesome light jacket, love that is is an anorak style also. Only problem is the lack of bar-tacks at the edges of the kangaroo pocket. This is a very high usage area so they need to be there, already had one corner lose hold on the relatively few threads holding it in place within short order. Otherwise warm for the weight and very comfortable! Whe... Read Moren the pocket gets updated I'll be back for another one!
Versatile and comfortable!
Ive been waiting for a 1/4 zip hoody with kangaroo pouch for a while from Patagonia. Finally a casual p/o hoody that i can wear out on the town but stil... Read Morel keep it on when i get to the river and need a layering piece under my waders. Buddies are green with envy for my purp hoody
6'1, 175. Its purple! You guys can't make enough purple stuff. Hoody is perfect weight for early spring/fall or inside in winter for hanging about. Comfy beyond imagination. Read Moreers that fit in that category. Hidden zip pocket is perfect for sh*t that you can't lose (car keys, etc). Piping around collar is pilling but not a deal breaker at all.
I am 63 in about 245 pounds in the extra large fit me perfectly. I like this as a single top layer or mid layer when its really cold. The feasibility of use and functionality of a pullover is very convenient and its very comfortable. I use this snowboarding or hiking or just as casual wear
I didnt know a garment could be this perfect. The weight, insulation, and breathability all come together perfectly and I have worn this thing almost every day since I got it in October. With little to no fanfare, the Forge has made the perfect hoody. No hardcore online gear reviews, no hype. This is for lack of a better term an Nano Air for the people, and were here for it. Read More me this as a replacement, and its the same level of warmth in still air, but the convective loss in a breeze is noticeable. Id best compare it to a standard R2. Its the perfect amount to kill the chill at 65°, but standing still will hold you down to 50-55° depending on metabolism, body fat% etc and if active much lower. Its your favorite chill hoody, but teched-up just enough to perform when duty calls. BTW your associate/team member Kiko (I hope I spelled her name right...) at the VA store is an invaluable asset to your company. Patagonias know for its beyond chic-fil-a customer service, but shes on another eschelon.
This is a lot like the nano air, but much better. The current version of the nano air I found impossible to push up the sleeves and that it was to techy.
