Initially ordered this pant in a size 8, hoping for a slight oversized fit. Ended up reordering in a 10, still had extremely limited mobility in the pants. Besides the fit being awful, I was surprised by how fast the material wore down, considering I hardly wore the pants as they were extremely uncomfortable. I almost immediately, after the first... Read More wash or two, got piling on my knees/thighs of the pant. Canvas felt cheap and looked cheap, unfortunately.
Hello Emma, thank you for your review of the Women's Slim All Seasons Hemp Pants. We are sorry to hear that the fit and the fabric wasn't what you were expecting out of these pants. We recommend machine washing warm and to tumble dry low. This [video](https://www.patagonia.com/repairs/) is for a Better Sweater, but is an example of how to get rid of piling. And of course, if you are unsatisfied, you are always welcome to return the pants!
Wanted to love them
I was so excited about these, especially since they came in a long inseam! I'm bigger around the hips and have long legs, so a struggle finding the right fit in a pair of pants is not out of the norm for me. I read reviews and ordered a size 12 even though I'm typically a 10. The long inseam was perfect for me, but because of the thicker ... Read Morematerial, I still felt super restricted and tight around the waist and similar to what others have said....almost baggy in the crotch area. I LOVE the fabric as it feels very heavy duty but still super comfortable if I had the right fit. I'm sure they'd be perfect on some bodies, but just didn't quite work for mine the way I wanted. I took full advantage of the easy and painless return process and will be ordering another style of pants in this same fabric!
Love the material of these pants. They fit me in the waist true to size, but the crotch area was so tight and small... the weirdest construction on any pants I've ever tried, so I will be returning. Wish patagonia would re-evaluate the fit on these, because they were great otherwise.
My Favorite Work Pant
As other reviewers stated, these pants do run small, so I ordered a size up. They fit like a glove, but have enough stretch to move with my body while timber framing. I have a pretty narrow build, and these pants are just what they say - slim. I'd recommend the All Season Hemp Canvas Double Knee Pants for anyone with a curvier build or who nee... Read Moreds more room in the hips and thighs than these pants offer. If you like a tight-fitting pant that moves with you and doesn't have extra fabric to get caught on timbers or tools, these pants are for you! I just ordered my second pair.
I typically wear either a 12 or 14 in pants. I've tried these pants in 14, 16 & 18. None of them fit. The waist band is too small in all of them. Something is wrong in the design of these pants.

Runs Crazy Small
I cannot emphasize enough how small these pants run. I have a pair of the iron forge work pants in a size 4 that fit perfectly. Naturally, I assumed I would wear the same size in these pants. NOT EVEN CLOSE! I ordered a size 4 that I was not able to pull up past my thighs. I then exchanged them for a size 8, which is 2 WHOLE SIZES LARGER and I can ... Read Morenow pull them up but can barely button them. (To be clear, nothing about my body has changed and the iron forge pants still fit perfectly!) I truly am a fan of Patagonia workwear but this *slim cut* is insane. It seems like they just made the pants 3 sizes smaller and called it *slim*. Its honestly kind of disappointing to see Patagonia fall into the whack womens sizing of the clothing industry. The sizing already doesn't make sense, at the very least please give us some consistency! Im returning these pants for a refund which I will put towards some of the mens all season work pants. Im sure the sizes of those will be accurate *eye roll*
We're very sorry for the sizing issues you've encountered with this style and we very much appreciate you sharing these valuable details. We'll reach out to you by email for further assistance. Thanks for taking the time to send us a review, Maria!
Didn't fit right
I used the size guide to select the first size - it said I was a 2 which seemed normal/right. I could barely button that pair of pants. I exchanged them for a size 4 and still they didn't fit. I couldn't kneel or bend over in them. Bummed, because they feel nice and was looking forward to a sturdy yet comfortable work pant.

Runs VERY small
I usually wear a 6 but saw that these run small so I bought an 8. They didn't even come up past my hips. I then bought a size 12 and they were still small. I have a pair of size 6 Patagonia pants that I am wearing now that fit great--not sure why the sizing of these pants are so off.
Hi Andrea! Thank you for writing us a review on the All Season Hemp Pants. We're sorry to hear how small the pants fit. They do feature a slim fit, but having to size up multiple sizes is definitely disappointing. We rely on feedback like this to improve things for future seasons so we'll share this with our design team.
Great quality, extra durable, but not too much give
I love the look and overall feel of my hemp pants, but with a few small caveats. I am on the petite side, but I do not think these were made for curvy people (although are any Patagonia pants?). I am a farmer as well so constantly squatting or bending over and the pant legs generally give room to do so, but are a bit tight in the thighs and baggy a... Read Moreround the ankles. There seems to be a reinforced waistline which I appreciate so they don't fall down while I am working, but it is pretty tight and a bit uncomfortable. Again, not sure they are made for curvy people.
Hi Alexandria! Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. We truly appreciate you sharing this feedback regarding the fit. We rely on comments like these to improve fit for future seasons so we'll share this with our design team.
I am a 2 in every pant I've ever worn, so I was very surprised when I couldn't even fasten the button on the size 2. Other than the waist, the pants fit great, very flattering. I tried the 4s, and the waist fit perfectly, but the legs were super baggie and looked pretty bad. I got these free from work, so I pulled out the button from th... Read Moree 2s and moved it over about 1". Still tight, but at least it fastens now. I'm guessing the tight fit is due to the hemp stretching out over time. Adding an elastic piece in the back might help maintain a tight fit without suffocating the wearer. Anyway, the material is great and the legs are flattering, just the waist sizing needs an update.
Thank you for sharing this feedback about the fit of the waist, Elise, We are sharing it with our product designers. Please let us know if we can be of any help!
Definitely too small
Like other folks who left reviews, I found these pants to be quite small. They were also slightly short -- I measured the inseam at 30" rather than the 31" . For now, I'll try sizing up and ordering them in tall. I know Patagonia is excellent at taking user feedback, so I look forward to seeing the next generation of these!
Hello Dana, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. These do have a slim fit, so they are intended to sit closer to the body than some other styles we have. With that said, the inseam should be 31" for the regular inseam. I usually wear a 4. I had to exchange twice to realize I was an eight in these pants. Very tight around the waist and crinkled or loose around the crotch. Love the material but the fit is still in progress. Ended up returning. Hope the try to make these better so I can by them!

Another pair of great pants
The pair that made me switch to size 10 in the Hemp® Pants - Regular was a size 8, my usual size. But it was too tight in the waist so I ordered up a size to 10. That worked great for one pair This second pair was almost perfect except I had to relocate the button location 3/8" over to make them a little tighter in the waist. I wish there were... Runs about 2 sizes small
Ordered this in my size 4, then size 6. Both cut way too small. Could try again with size 8 (!) which I never wear but decided the pants feel too rigid to be comfortable in slim fit. Too bad, because I really like the green color. I have the straight legged version in black, size 4 and they fit perfect.
We're very sorry for the frustrating and disappointing fit on this new "slim" fit style. Please reach out to the [Patagonia-owned store in your area](https://www.patagonia.com/store-locator/) or contact our Customer Service team for a return. We'll be happy to help!
Pants for Ants
The material of these pants is 10/10. I'm typically a size 6-8 in women's pants but I kept exchanging up to a size 12 in these and they won't fit. I have an athletic body with ski thighs and these squeeze everything above my knees like a summer sausage casing, yet the waist is far too large. There is no way I could comfortably work i... very small and no stretch
I love Patagonia Work Wear and wear many styles from the line. However, this particular item has an incorrect fabric description listed in the copy (there's no elastane in the pants I received) and runs two sizes smaller than other Work Wear bottoms I wear. Five stars for both styles of overalls, however!
