Horrible sizing

Im a 6 foot tall lean athletic build I was very excited to finally see patagonia offer tall women another item. But the sizing is all off, it feels like they added 2 inches to the bottom of pants tailored for petite figures. I followed their sizing chart exactly but the pants were crazy small cinched in at the waist, the knee taper hit my mid thigh... Read More instead of knee area. Additionally I purchased this item with discount code I only get once a year. I asked to exchange for the long overalls hoping their tailoring would be more forgiving. Previously customer service has honored my code on an exchanged item and made the process incredibly easy. This time I was told codes would never be honored more than once despite product failure and you have to completely return and re-order items. No credits towards exchanges, and a long wait time for refund and new product.

Thank you for your review, Lily. We're sorry to hear of the confusion with our sizing. The size guide on our website will provide general body measurements that should work within a given size, but since our products come in different fits and we personally come in different shapes, it will not always be 100% accurate. In the future, we'd advise reaching out to [customer service](*4c4dlv*_ga*NjQ4MDAzMDY0LjE2ODI5NTAxOTA.*_ga_1SYPSJZYJ5*MTY5NTA1MDUyMy4zMjguMS4xNjk1MDUxMDYzLjAuMC4w) for garment measurements. These pants in particular do have a slim fit, which could be why they felt smaller than anticipated. You can check the fit of any item by clicking on the "Fit" tab on the product page. We do have some guidelines for exchange eligibility through the exchange portal on our website. Exchanges must be for the same item, at the same price in a different color or size. Unfortunately, our system will not allow for exchanges outside of these parameters. We looked up the previous customer service interaction you mentioned, and it looks like we weren't able to honor that discount code because you wanted different items entirely. Sadly, we are only able to submit exchanges on behalf of the customer with a price match if it falls within those guidelines we previously mentioned; our apologies for any misunderstanding. Please feel free to reach out if you have any other questions.

Hey Melissa, thank you for the feedback! We're sorry to hear that these ran small. They do have a slim fit, so that is something to keep in mind. You can check the fit of an item by clicking on the "Fit" tab on the product page. If you'd like to exchange for a size up, you can begin the process [here](

I love the design, just not on me

I was so excited to see these in more feminine slim-fit with a long-inseam. I have other pieces in the same hemp material so I knew the fabric would be pretty sturdy and not exactly stretchy (honestly what I'd prefer in work pants) and ordered a 12. I typically wear a 10 in jeans. They look just as advertised but on my larger-in-the-hips body,... Read More they felt pretty restricting even in a size-up from my typical size. I took full advantage of the easy return policy and will be ordering the other similar-style pant in a different cut.

Waist is way too small

I usually wear a size 2-4 but ordered a 6 based on the sizing chart. The waist felt so tight it left marks on my stomach. I ordered an 8 but the legs were so baggy it looked silly. I'm really bummed because I love everything else about the pants - the material feels great, the legs on the size 6 fit really well, but the waist was SO tight it w... Read Moreas crazy. I'm going to keep the 6 and move the button over by an inch as another reviewer suggested. I hope Patagonia redesigns this pant with a much better waist fit, something went off the rails with these. When I see Slim fit, I would assume it refers to the fit down your legs, not squeezing your stomach.

Great Work Pant

Heads up, you'll definitely need to size up in these pants, but they are fantastic! I have a long inseam of 33" so I usually try to go for 34" inseam pants, but these 33" are perfect. As for sizing width, they do fit tighter. I usually wear size small which Patagonia says is sizes 4-6, but in other brands I wear a size 2 usually... Read More (like Prana Halle pants). These I had to go up to size 8 for a fit that let me kneel down comfortably for working in dirt. If you throw base layers under these, I would size up even more (for me, that would be a size 10), because even with a thin base layer under these pants for cold mornings, it gets TIGHT to try and bend your knees. Overall, I think these are super durable, comfortable, and can handle farm work well.

Waist Very Small

Loved the color (green) and length (33in) of these pants, unfortunately the waist runs very small. Usual size 0 or XS, ordered a size 2 after reading other reviews, the waist was very tight and uncomfortable to bend in, ordering a size up would make the legs and hips baggy. Sadly, had to return. Would love to see these redesigned with a lower rise ... Read Moreand better fitting waist.

Good, thick pant

I love these pants because they are a thicker fabric, but still flexible. The more I wash them the softer they feel. They do run small through the lower belly and upper thighs, so I had to get a size up. (I am an 8 and had to get a 10).

Small waist

Loved the style and fabric. The higher waist felt snug in comparison to thigh
