I bought these pants a couple months ago and am really pleased with with them! I was concerned they would not be warm enough but I have worn them in the lower 50s so far and they are fine. Like a lot of outdoor gear, when you step out of the car they are a bit chilly but once you get exercising they are plenty warm, especially if you are climbing.
... Read MoreI used the fit guide which recommended a size 4 for me based on what I said. To note I usually buy a 2 in Patagonia pants. The 4 is definitely a more baggy, relaxed fit but I kinda like that and the waist fits fine. I am 5 ft 2 inches, around 100-102 pounds and 60 years old.
The only bad thing I can say about them is that there is no way to put on knee pads without completely taking the pants off which is a bit of an inconvenience at the trailhead. The pants are plenty roomy enough to accommodate the pads. I just think if you are marketing pants for mountain biking, that should be part of the design to have zippered calfs. If it was not for that, I would have given th 5 stars.
The dirt craft shorts have some adjustability around the waist which I wish these had as they're a little bit loose but that is only issue, they are incredible on the bike the pocket in them actually works - first bike trousers I can say that about, fits a phone in perfect and does not impact your cycling ability. I love these, note the liners... Read More are definitely a little snugger and run true to size.
Loved the fit of these pants and that they were super light. Have nice bilateral side pockets to fit phone and ID or other small necessities. But they did not hold up - second time I wore them, huge hole ripped into the shin area from my bike pedal. There is no type of reinforcement in the most common area that pedals catch your leg/pant and these ... Read Moreare meant for mountain biking? Super disappointed. Already require repair and I owned them for one week.
Hi Emily, we're sorry to hear these pants haven't performed as we or you would expect! We're sharing this with our product team. We would consider this a warranty issue. We will reach out to you about options for returning them.

LOVE LOVE these pants
I am a mountain bike coach and avid rider and I absolutely love these pants! They breathe, they move, they stretch, they look good! I can wear knee pads underneath if I need to and they are so so comfy. On sizing, I typically wear a size 6 in most Patagonia pants, but for these I ordered a size 4 and they fit perfectly! I'm 5'6" and ... Read More130#.
These pants are fantastic - the fit is perfect for me, and although they are pretty form-fitting they have room for a chamois. They are stretchy, comfortable, and easy to move in. On a hot day they're a bit toasty since they're black, but not unbearable. They have already become my go-to for riding regardless of terrain and weather. Very ... I wasn't sure what to expect with these pants (I bought them for light MTB riding - nothing hardcore). I'm 5'2, 103 lbs fairly thin and usually struggle to fit in athletic clothes because i can't fill them out. These pants are PERFECT - snug in the waist so they don't fall down but stretchy waist band so not uncomfortable. ... Read MoreKnees are big enough to fit kneepads underneath but do not look overly baggy without. Length is PERFECT for me - hits right at my ankle with enough bunch to not ride up while in a seated position. Good airflow and weight to the material - feels kind of like a running pant but a little more durable. Given that i have to put kneepads under the pant (didn't fit well over the pant), i'm a little concerned about a potential fall ripping them because they are fairly thin. I wore them in a downpour just now and was impressed with the way they shed water (a little wet on my thighs but for the most part they held up). I'm excited to use these for riding, hiking, and casual wear. My only wish is that they came in the smolder blue color which is such a beautiful color way and looks better than black IMO.
This pant is amazing! It's comfortable and very flattering which is hard to find in a bike pant! A thick shammy fits perfect under. The fabric feels nice as well! I purchased a 0 and am 5'2" 105 lbs narrow hips with a little bit of a back side and these fit perfectly!! And, they are super cute and not baggy!! I want a second pair alr... Read Moreeady!
