Perfect Running Tights
These tights are perfectly built. The fit is perfect. The waist band is so comfortable. It doesnt roll. It doesnt Ride down or up when you run. The brushed inside makes them great for cooler temperatures. They are so comfortable, that I now wear them as lounge wear.
I love these pants maybe just one additional pocket for a wallet or phone. I bought a pair of cycling pants about 20 years ago for cycling, I have worn them almost every day in the winter once I discovered how warm and breathable they were! You have repaired them twice and I still wear them! Thanks for the quality product from a product engineer:)
My 2nd pair. Slightly heavier than normal tights which I dont wear. These are my go to in the range of 20-40 degrees. Warmer than that and I wear shorts, colder a base with a wind shell. My first pair is holding up very well, I expect this pair will also.
These fit like a dream. I run in temps down to 20 degrees and they keep my legs warm. No chafing. I've also used as a baselayer skiing and Road biking and they do the trick. I wish the back cellphone holder was just a tad bigger.
Hi Bob, we're sorry the microterry lining of these tights didn't work well for you, and we're glad to see you're returning an item that isn't going to make you happy. Please feel free to reach out to us if we can help you find an alternative!

My favourite running tights
I absolutely love these tights. The fabric verges on luxurious and they have maintained their shape over 2.5 seasons so far. By far the best running tights I have owned. I do miss having a pocket large enough to stash a phone, though.
These are my go-to tights for runs between +5C down to -5C.
Perfect athletic fit without fitting too snug. Fit over muscular thighs with no issue where others are way too tight. Warmth without feeling overheated. Such a great winter option!
I've worn two sizes in these tights, size small and medium. For my 5'7", 145 pound frame, the size small was a bit snug around my hip bones so when I gained a few pounds after the holidays, I decided to opt for the medium instead and I'm sure glad that I did.
Things I like:
I like that these tights aren't super tight, whi... Read Morech may seem silly considering they're tights, but I found that while on their own they work down to 20 degrees on a sunny Colorado day, it's nice to be able to layer when the mercury drops below that. I also like the fit of the mediums. I have a pretty short 28" inseam and while they do bunch a bit at the bottom I didn't feel like these were too long or ever getting in the way. Id much rather have winter running tights be a bit long than have snow hitting my ankles. The thickness of the tights is great too. Any thicker and I would be too hot on my runs and any thinner and I'd imagine they wouldn't be as warm. The interior fabric is great against the skin and wicks away sweat with ease.
Things I didn't like:
Lacking pockets. I would love to be able to carry my phone with me easily but alas the rear pocket just isn't large enough for the tablet-sized iPhones of today. Also, the pocket is in the rear which is just more difficult to access than a side pocket. Thankfully I run with my vest fairly often so it isn't a dealbreaker. While they help block the wind somewhat, they aren't windproof, which is what Id expect from something at this price point, like similarly priced GoreTex Infinium options from other manufacturers. That would take these tights to the next level. Thankfully because the fit allows for layering I am able to easily layer some GoreTex Infinium compression shorts underneath to achieve the desired effect.
Overall these are my go to when the temperatures dip and on almost every run I don't even notice them/think about them, which is what I want. A few updates to the pockets and making them windproof would make these true mission ready.
Bought these to replace/supplement a pair of 20 year old Cool Weather Tights which used to be a staple in Patagonia's line. Just went for my first run in 35 degree windy New York which isn't as cold as it could be. These are thinner and not as warm. The waist band and zipper key pocket is on area of improvement over the old Cool Weather T... Read Moreights but otherwise these are worse in every way. The old ones had a little zip on the ankles for easy on/off and pulling up socks under them. These have a thinner, baggy ankle. The old ones had a small tasteful logo right above the back of one ankle where these have a big logo across the thigh. I would say to the designers, go back to the archives and re-make the Cool Weather Tights and just add the new waistband and you'd have a great product. I guess I'll keep these but will still be wearing my old ones on colder days. Disappointing.
Hey Rob, thank you for the review. We certainly do not want you to be disappointed in your purchase, so we welcome you to send back the tights for a refund or store credit. To begin the return process, click [here](https://www.patagonia.com/returns.html).

Very comfortable and durable
Its a great product for a base layer in colder temps. I find the construction very solid and the fit comfortable. I found the M to be a little long for me, but I also have a short inseam. It still doesn't affect the fit or performance
I have had quite a few pairs of running tights over the years. These are by far the best I have ever owned. The build quality is great and the fit is top notch. Give these a shot, you won't be disappointed.
I like the product overall. Good fit, calves, quads, glutes. I'm 5 11, 177, relatively athletic build. Weight is nice for 38-55 degrees. My only quibble may sound odd; the ankle shape is very baggy, even over a heavier sock.
At 6-1 and 180 lbs these are a great fit. The front doesnt roll down with my little belly either. With the front center seam it would be unwise for me to wear these commando to teach class but for casual wear, sure. The little pocket in back is strange but doesnt get in the way when I practice on the mat. Very nice product in the extremely limited ... Read Morerange of mens tights.
Size ordered (s) was not what I received; no idea where those specs came from.
I ordered size as shown on men's sizing chart for small waist 30, low hip 36. My low hip is 34. Waist size of garment is 28 when stretched to max. Would not fit over hips. Patagonia was prompt in authorizing a return and crediting my account. Will probably re order if the sizing issue is resolved.
Hi Edward! Thank you for taking the time to write us a review and point this out. You're correct, it looks like our size chart is inaccurate. The size small is 27.5'' at the waist rather than 30''. We're going to share this with our web team and hopefully get that corrected. We'd recommend a size medium as it features a 30.5'' waist.

Great FIT
The best tights that I run in! Sizing is perfect and they dont slide down or rise up regardless of the terrain. Excellent weight for early New England fall through the winter.
I got a pair of both the Peak Mission Running and Endless Run tights, and they are quite different, but both great. Great fabric, great warmth to weight, cool to cold weather running tight
I bought a size medium a few years ago. Ran once or twice in them and immediately bought another pair. Perfect for fall to mild winter 30-55 degrees or so. The fabric is outstanding. The zippered pocket on the back makes the tights unacceptable for all activities such as crunches and bench pressing. I never tried them on so I cant comment on the fit.
Hi Arthur, thank you for submitting this review. We're sorry these running tights didn't work for the activities you had in mind, but glad to see you've been able to get them returned. As usual a great Patagonia
As usual a great Patagonia product. High quality- you might want to consider a slightly lighter version for summer. Respect it! And companies that try to protect it as best as possible.
What I like the most about this product is the soft inner feel to the lining. It provides warmth and softness at the same time, and unlike many tights the fit is more accommodating to a wider girth.
I'm stoked! The quality of the material, fit, and comfort are all outstanding. For warm tights they are incredibly lightweight. The small zipper pocket in the back is super handy. And I love the dark blue color they come in.
These tights are awesome and very versatile. I use them for runs on their own down into the 20s, and as a base layer for bike commuting in the winter, ice climbing, skiing, and hiking. Very durable for what they are. I like that they don't have zipper at the ankle, which makes them perfect with boots and layering. Highly recommend these if you... So good I had to buy another pair.
I bought them for outdoor paddle tennis here in Connecticut! They are absolutely fabulous in every way. They replaced a odor I bought from you 18 years ago/ they are better than ever - I like the improvements!! Thanks
I bought these last winter and they have become my favorite tights for both running and "peak missions" in the nearby mountains. They are super soft, incredibly comfortable, fit perfectly, and just the right warmth for temps in the 20's-40's (with proper layering on top of course). They are warmer than the Endless run tights, as... Read More they have a very soft and cozy brushed interior fabric. These don't have side pockets, just the one zip pocket in the back. I'm OK with this as I usually don't carry a phone on short runs and I carry a vest on the longer runs and "peak missions", and I've found carrying things in the side pockets isn't all that comfortable anyway. A smaller phone like my Pixel 5a does fit in the back pocket - without the phone case. I have a few other pairs of running tights but these are my absolute favorites.
I am new to running for recreation but have played soccer/futbol for years. I have an atypical runners build and was concerned that running tights would not be something I would enjoy. I was wrong and these tights unlocked winter running in the upper US Midwest and I highly recommend them.
The mission tights are high quality. The main improvement Id like to see in these is to have a pocket with zipper that will fit a iPhone 13 pro max. Patagonias customer service is above and beyond. Im forever impressed. That said, the mens tights fit snug, but not tight, had some room in the length, but not too bunchy, and kept my legs warm throughout workout. Getting another pair or two soon.
I have been wearing the endless run shorts all summer and have been really happy with a compression-style running short that doesn't have a brief liner. I don't know that these provide the support necessary to wear without anything underneath. Maybe if I went with a smaller size, but that still wouldn't fix the "crotch visibility" issue. Overall, they work, are well made, and are very comfortable. I think if you are on the fence between sizes I would size down, and if you are looking for any type of compression I would go with a different model.

Too long
These are great tights they are just really long and being 5'10" they bunch up around the ankle.

I might be alone on this one but these pants actually make my legs feel *cold* when I run in mid-20's to mid-30's temperatures. It's like the materials superconducts from outside right into my legs. Add one more pocket on the other side for some fuel, and these would get 10 stars. And yes, I know it is a 5-star system. That's how good the fit and feel of these tights are.
I switch between these and the terrebone joggers which I use a little more since they have more pockets. The tights are great for cold weather runs down to 15 degrees where I've been so far. I plan on trying them out in even cooler weather once it gets here. Fit is perfect for me.
Unlike the song there is no controversy about these tights. They fit well, run well, keep you warm, and can fit an iPhone 8 in the back pocket in a pinch. I have worn mine on a few 25°F runs (5-8 miles) and absolutely love them. I'm only a month into owning them, but knowing Patagonia products I expect them to last a good number of years.
I bought these tights for winter running in Iowa and Wisconsin... i.e. in the cold. They are warm without causing you to over heat and fit comfortably. I use these on the trail and road and they have performed well.
I've been looking for tights to replace my old Coolweather tights and these fit the bill. I bought them primarily for cool/cold weather mountain biking and wear them over your Endless Ride liner shorts- the system has worked great! I'm 5'6" and weigh 145 lbs and a small fits great.
The fabric is great, though I was hoping it was a bit thicker thermal material. Still decently warm for the 15-25º range.
