Best running leggings for PNW winter!
These leggings rock. The fabric is super soft and not too thick while still doing the job to keep my warm on cooler winter runs in the Northwest. Great pair of tights!
This pant is fantastic for many reasons. The fabric is just warm enough without being too stiff or thick, the waistband is well constructed with a stretchy drawcord that lays flat and is the perfect length, and has a secure zip pocket that keeps items from bouncing around. I also appreciate the reflective hits in the legs. If I had to criticize th... Read Moree tight, I would question whether the herringbone braid at the lower waistband is necessary, as I found it a bit of a negative aesthetic when I was deciding to purchase, but it doesn't bother me as much as I thought it might. Also, the fit is great, but usually there is an initial crotch adjustment or two needed after you put them on. I don't seem to have this problem with some of Patagonia's other tights from previous seasons, and it hasn't been an issue with tights from other brands. I kind of wish there was another pocket, as I am becoming used to all the cell phone pockets in leggings, but if the pants need to be kept simple to keep the retail price down, I am cool with that. Thanks for the good work! This would be a great fabric for a scuba-hoody base layer, if you don't have one of these already. Cheers!
Nice tights but poor construction
Really loved these tights from the first time I wore them. Perfect weight and fit for winter running or xc skiing. But within the first month, the seam on the backside began to split in two places. Surprising since Patagonia usually lasts forever. Maybe best for use just inside and lounging and not for sports given fragile seams.

These tights are lined with a nice fuzzy interior to give these leggings winter pants status. I purchased the Peak Mission tight as a sale item. I loved the color (dark ruby). I wear an XS in the Patagonia Center tight, but this tight in XS was just too small. I am hoping that buying the Peak Mission in a small will do the trick. I think it will be a great addition to my winter attire;)
Does it all!
Excellent tight! Very stretchy and warm while also staying in place. I'm 5'9 135lbs and generally wear a SM in Patagonia these were true to size. They looks great for casual wear and would be great for skiing under snow pants or alone for nordic. Perfect outdoor running tight in the cooler months! So happy with them!
I liked the product in general, I wear small in most brands, first ordered them small but had to exchange for a Medium. The elastic waistband is not my favorite for my body type, the elastic is not wide and high enough to help tuck in my tummy instead accentuates it, but buying a size up worked for me. I usually love Patagonia but these really fall short of the mark. They ripped along the upper seam on the outside of the leg after a couple of times wearing them. On the fence
Great quality, but sheer in the back, can see any print or design on underwear. I wanted to love these leggings, but they are just so so. The ankle is not tight. I do like the fit, as these are not super tight, if you want a tight compression type pant, I would size down. Definitely not worth the hefty price tag.
Great tight for the PNW!
I LOVE these tights! I've primarily been wearing them for hiking and running rural trails in 35*-55* sometimes very rainy weather near Seattle. I love the way the waistband and ankles feel on these tights, find them to fit quite well on my 5'6" ~135 sturdy-legged frame (I got size M), and only rarely feel too cold in spite of sometim... Read Morees being quite wet after running for up to a couple hours. These wash very well and although I typically hang them, I have used the dryer and they still look perfect. I haven't had any pilling whatsoever and have had no issues with them causing friction on skin during soggy runs. I will absolutely buy again.
Have been running in these in cold/windy situations (15-20 degrees), and they are miraculous. Truly. I'm 5'4", weight 115 (no hips) and an XS fits pretty darn perfect. I'd be worried the Small would have given the annoying "elephant skin syndrome". Will definitely be buying another pair.
Great, just not for super cold temps
I was hesitant to spend so much on tights, but these really are great--they stay put, they wick moisture, and they're super comfortable. My only complaint is that they're not going to be warm enough for mid-winter runs (at least, not warm enough for me...). I thought they'd be thick enough for running when the temps drop to teens/low... Read More 20s, but they're too thin for that. They're perfect for running when temps are in the 30s/40s with wind/rain, though. I'm typically somewhere between a small/medium in Patagonia, and the mediums fit great (5'6", 130 lbs., athletic legs).
I’m not sure what magic is built into these, but these are the unicorn of running tights. I primarily run trails in the Pacific Northwest and ran a true test on these on a 22 miler through the Olympics where it rained the entire time. I took these off to tswim in the hot springs and after putting them back on, they seemed to dry on my body within a... Read More few minutes of running again (and it was still raining). Highly recommend. Way to go, Patagonia. You raised the bar again in gear that just works.
