Having the right running clothes is crucial, especially for longer distance runs. With these shorts, I can focus on what matters and not worry about any minor discomforts. The fit is perfect. They are very comfortable and have great pocket placement. I did a 15 km run on my first morning in these shorts. So they definitely live up to their name!
Pros:
* Stretchy
* Moisture wicking
* Minimal but somehow also jam packed with functionality
* No boxer briefs needed
* Amazing deep pockets which very securely hold a phone close to the leg without bounce... you can even put a soft flask in them, if you need the water and your OK with the temporary discomfort
* Pocket in the back for bars or gels

* Modesty panel really does help me feel not too weird about walking into a grocery store
I do the bulk of my outdoor trail running and hiking in these, from 7mi to ~53mi in a single push. Grand Canyon Rim2Rim on two different occasions, as well as a R2R2R. So long as there isn't bushwhacking or overly cold temps involved for very long this is what I wear. As they are kinda different and weird in many peoples eyes compared to normal trail running shorts I was worried they would be discontinued, so I bought like 3 or 4 pairs. I hope patagonia continues to make them, and in a few other color combos.
There is no internal hang loop, but the pocket in the back is tacked in the middle so I can hang these shorts from that to dry them.
If I don't want my phone to get sweaty in my pocket I'll put it in a ziplock bag.
I now have 3 pairs of these shorts because I love them so much. They are easily my favorite running shorts I have tried so far from any brand.
I have thicker thighs and these fit me perfectly. No issues with chafing, no ride up, and once I have them on and I get running I don't ever think about them. The waistband has a good string that gets t... Read Morehem tight enough that I can run with my phone and keys in the big side pockets with no bouncing and no slipping in the waistband.
The pockets are great if you do have things you want to carry; phone, keys, card, gloves could all easily fit and more.
I love the feel of a half tight with the "modesty' or whatever of shorts, its the perfect combination.
I am around 5'11 and 200lbs and have 3 pairs size L. I especially love the all black colorway.
I have been looking for a pair or workout shorts that could hold my iPhone securely. I normally used Patagonia swim trunks but these are a game changer. Two huge pockets that hold phone close to body and its perfect. This does fit differently being a workout pant and I found the sizing guide spot on. Highly recommend!
In terms of long distance shorts, these are some of the best out there. I've done plenty of 20+ mile runs in these, and recently ran 100 miles with the endless run shorts in one go. Chafing is basically nonexistent (at least with the help of body glide. My only complaint is the five inch inseam shorts are no longer available.
These are my go to shorts for long weekend runs. I dont have to worry about schafing and they dont get too warm through California summers.
For bottoms I usually wear M but because of my bigger thighs the L fit better. The waist wasnt too big plus, I was able to cinch it down the cord. I love the extra fabric in the front. These are flattering sh... Read Moreorts for sure.
I often bike to trailheads to run or hike. I love that these work well on the bike and soar on the trail while running/hiking. Secure but large pockets. I routinely have a shirt or jacket in one side, my phone on the other, keys, a collapsible cup in the back, and snacks. Everything stays put, both the human gear and the above gear. The shorts don&... Read More#x27;t fall down or require adjustment. Great with moisture management, and I have not experience chafing while wearing them even in miserably humid and hot temperatures. The shaped pouch is comfortable, and the front panel breaths amazingly, and keeps minors from seeing the bits. If you wear running tight shorts under shorts, stop it; just buy these.
They're strangely puffy in the front. Presumably so that your junk doesn't show? That's nice I guess, but it looks like you have some strange diaper on in the front.
The fact that they look bad is kinda sad because they are really functional. Great pockets.

Mens Yoga shorts with pockets and a touch of modesty/protection
These shorts fit snugly in the thighs and butt, and provide modesty and some room in the front (so things don't get crushed). The pockets will be great for gels, ID, keys... my phone even fits, but I wouldn't run with it. Basically these are great shorts for a dude that wants the comfort and flexibility of spandex shorts, but also wants s... Nice shorts, have noticed they run a bit longer than the original Endless Run shorts. Great side pockets, would suggest addition of rear zip pocket like Strider Pro shorts. Front modesty panel might not be necessary. Would also suggest offering these in a lighter weight fabric for warm weather.
Happy customer of last season's version of these shorts. This season's are virtually identical aside from new colors and longer drawstring. The fit avoids any kind of flapping or noise in the wind while staying in place without bunching or creasing. The cargo pockets work great for phones & keys and stretch a great deal to hold a wind... Read More shell and gloves. Aside from new colors in future seasons there is nothing I would change in this product. A knee-length Windshield-Endless Ride crossover would be interesting for on the bike.
First off, why hasn't anyone else realized how great of a product this hybrid tight/shorts is!! Patagonia nailed it. They're comfortable, awesome for hiking and running, and are incredibly versatile. I like the comfort of tights and the panel provides the coverage needed to make these uniquely incredible. The only reason I gave it 4 stars...
