Dear Patagonia community,
The COVID-19 pandemic is taking over communities around the world at an astounding rate. While testing availability in the United States is still limited, and so the extent of the virus’s spread is largely unknown, we want to do our part to protect everyone. The safety of our employees and our communities is our top priority, and we are taking responsible precautions to help stop the spread of this scary virus where we can.
We have temporarily closed our stores, offices and other operations in the United States. We have also closed stores and offices in Argentina, Chile, Japan and across Europe. Our Australia and South Korea operations will continue on a modified work schedule in stores and offices, with some stores closed depending on location. Employees who can work from home will do so. All Patagonia employees will continue to receive their regular pay during these closures.
We are working to find solutions to protect the safety of our warehouse team, and we hope to have an update about online orders in the coming weeks. We apologize that over the next two weeks there will be delays on orders and customer-service requests. We ask for your understanding and patience. We will continue to keep you updated with new developments.
We encourage our friends everywhere to take the extra precautions necessary to safeguard their health and that of others. It’s everyone’s responsibility to help stop the spread of this virus. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and your local health authorities are the best resources for updates and answers to questions.
Over the years, as our Patagonia community has been faced with challenges,I have always been inspired by how we emerge stronger and with an even deeper sense of purpose. We will persevere through this challenge, too.
Thank you for your business, loyalty and patience.

I like being cozy, but one of my biggest struggles in the pursuit of coziness is feeling like a slob. This pullover was a surprising answer to that dilemma! The texture is lovely, and the coloring is perfect. I chose Feather Grey - Ink Black X-Dye w/Light Balsamic. It is a classy feeling color while also promoting visual comfort with its lack of j... The kangaroo pocket actually fits a hot water bottle, but it also is a secure place for putting an iPhone with no fear of it falling out when you are moving about the house. There is a top pocket where I put some keys once, and one of them somehow got lost inside the sweatshirt...I think perhaps it snuck through the mesh lining. I was able to get it out without difficulty once I realized where it was. On the note of warmth, this pullover is somehow perfect. It is a little thick which naturally helps it hold in heat. But I felt like it really maintained my comfort level easily --almost instant warmth and lack of clammy overheating. Bottom line: If you want to feel perfectly warm and comfortable while also feminine, this is a great choice. I am 5'8" (with long arms to show for it) and 123lb.
Durable, reliable fleece
I have two of the re-tool fleece and have not been disappointed. I brought one with me to work at the South Pole for 6 weeks and it not only kept me warm but it looks barely worn after 10 hour days, 6 day weeks working outside. The shoulders are still in great shape after having my bib straps rub on them every workday. The color is still vibrant. T... Read Morehe material is still consistent throughout. This is my first fleece purchase from Patagonia and I couldn't be more pleased! For reference, I am 5'1.5 112lbs w/ a slightly wider back from lifting and the XS fits perfectly. I usually like my sweatshirts a little oversized and almost bought a S, which would have been fine, but I'm glad I got the XS because having it fit right makes it even comfier. Might honestly buy another one right now!
I was disappointed with the quality of this pullover. I thought it would be regular fleece material but its kind of a velour material, not fleece. Also, like people have mentioned, the collar is very stiff and pokes my neck. Will try it out Bc I am tired of returning stuff. We will see.
New Re-Tool seems lower quality than previous versions
I didn't realize the Re-Tool design had changed, and I wasn't a fan of this iteration (I have four Re-Tools from over the last several years that I LOVE). The collar was stiff and wouldn't lay flat, and was shorter than years past so it didn't keep my neck as warm when buttoned up. The fleece seemed thinner and lower quality tha... I ordered the raw linen color and absolutely love it!! I am 5’11” and 255, ordered the 2x, though this isn’t as slim fitting as the better sweater so I could probably get away with an xl. Thinner than they used to be
I purchased a re-tool about two years ago and I absolutely love it; it is so thick and soft. Most useful sweater
This is my second Snap Pullover from Patagonia, and it is one of my favorites. I took a chance and got it in Raw Linen, but so far so good and easy to clean. My first sweater lasted me so many years and I look forward to how many years this will last me. Any Patagonia product I've had has been so durable and hands down best quality.
Have been admiring this jacket for months and finally my mother in law got it for me for Christmas and I washed it for the first time and didn’t dry it I let it hung and it shrunk! So disappointed!

I already bought one of these wonderful, snuggly tops last year and love it, so I decided this year to buy one for my mom and another one for me. I couldn't resist the deep plum color! The color is just as gorgeous in person as it is online. I'm usually a size XS or S, so initially bought a S. Bought this for hiking in mts of AZ . Turned out better than expected. Lightweight for cooler temps with a long sleeve T shirt under it. (45-65 degrees) Felt cozy and warm. If you are looking for a flattering, cozy, and super soft fleece this is it. Hi Gabby, thanks so much for your review. We're glad to see you're satisfied with the color, but it's a bummer the fabric changes aren't up to your satisfaction. This season, 51% of the polyester in this pullover is recycled, which is why it has a thinner feel. However, our designs are constantly being revised, and customer's feedback is one of the contributing factors to these changes. We hope that we won't disappoint you in the future.
Thank You Patagonia!
I love this pullover! I am glad that Patagonia has started making XXL in Womens Clothing. I like the length and warmth of this jacket. I purchased from a local store and I am glad I did. I purchased the plum. The softness you cannot beat. I bought this for work, and like the feminine cut of the jacket.
I purchased a Patagonia pullover 3 years ago (Grey fleece, purple trim). On this same website!! The recent pullover I purchased, isnt even the same quality or texture of my past purchase. My new favorite fleece!
This pullover is a true crowd favorite and we can barely keep it on the shelves. I finally broke down and bought one for myself. I chose to size up for comfort reasons and I'm so glad that I did. Normally, I'm a true small in Patagonia but my medium Re-Tool fits like a dream.

The coziest item I own. I take this everywhere, I live in a warm climate so below 70F is enough to warrant wearing including the blasting AC of summer. The century pink is gorgeous, the polyester fabric means little to no shrinkage and feels like a teddy bear. I've washed this several times followed by air dry, and it's held up perfectly. The outside is softer than the inside by a smidge, and the inside pills slightly, but it's on the inside and it doesn't affect functionality, so we'll let it slide. The fabric is also breathable, it's not just a solid mass of wool or something, so it keeps you from overheating. I like the nylon trim on the inside of the pouch, chest pocket and neck, same color as fabric and helps add structure and security. After a few washes the nylon wasn't stiff and the collar wasn't pokey anymore. The snap buttons are high quality and strong. The lining of the hand pouch and at the sleeve cuffs is like a mesh basketball short fabric. I thought I wanted something warmer to keep my hands warm but, then after wearing, figured it must've been done to reduce bulk which I appreciate because I bought something with a feminine silhouette for a reason. I also appreciated the breathability of the mesh since this sweater is warm especially with a base layer so it helps to maintain a comfortable stasis in body temperature. The only thing was that I originally ordered a XXS because I weigh a buck soaking wet, and I'm used to XS being XXS these days but this was actually too small even for my small frame, like I could barely get my arms into the sleeves and getting it off was quite a challenge especially if I wanted my shirt to stay on at the same time, so I sized up to a XS, which was what I normally wore before XS became XXS. So thank you Patagonia for being a true to actual sizes. Everyone is entitled to their opinion about clothing they like, it's very subjective, but truly I say poo-poo all the negative reviews. I think this item is great and plan on keeping for a very long time.
I love this sweater! I have one in all black and I have one in the grey and turquoise combo. They are extremely comfortable and keep you warm on a chilly day. My only complaint is that when wearing makeup, the stiff collar is constantly brushing against my neck/chin and will pick up makeup. It's extremely noticeable on the turquoise version.
Why did I want to add this to my collection?
I have been eyeing one of these for a few years, but always put off getting one because the cart total scared me off. If I could do it all over again...I would have pulled the trigger much sooner.
