Just an observation in cool weather climate like MN. The jacket collar is too low if one wants to hide neck from wind. I had bought a large and it was a tent on me. I am about 5 7 165 and figured due to the fact that the model looked 6 feet 135 lbs and it fit snug on him must be a large. Nope. Had to get a Medium. Sizing has to change at Patagonia.... Read More
I bought a jacket a couple years ago from you same problem only this time it was to small. Looking at Columbia and Polo next time. Unless your internet shopping can be a little more accurate.
Hey Doug, thanks for the review. We're sorry for the frustration with our sizing. We have a few tips and tricks to help you next time you're shopping. First, we do have a size guide on the website. You can find it by going to the product page, clicking on the "Fit" tab, and then clicking on "Size Guide". This guide will give you a general range of body measurements that should work within a given size; this should help to narrow it down. Secondly, you can also find the fit type underneath that same "Fit" tab. All of our items either come in form-fitting, slim, regular or relaxed fit types; this jacket has a regular fit. Lastly, if you'd like garment measurements, our [customer service](https://help.patagonia.com/s/?_gl=1*6upycd*_ga*NjQ4MDAzMDY0LjE2ODI5NTAxOTA.*_ga_1SYPSJZYJ5*MTY5NTMwMTAzOS4zNDAuMS4xNjk1MzAzODc0LjYwLjAuMA..) team is happy to provide you with those. You can reach out through whatever channel is most convenient for you. We also offer free and easy exchanges if you ever need to switch out for a bigger or smaller size.

Great jacket as expected …good
Great jacket as expected …good quality …keep in mind others suggestion to get the next size that usually use
Outer layer is very very thin and wrinkly. Inner fleece layer is thin too and forms lumps when jacket is worn with fleece inside because both layers aren’t stitched/bonded together. The concept of reversible jacket is excellent but very poorly implemented on this one. I will be returning it.
Thank you for writing this review, Ravi; we're sorry this jacket was a disappointment, but we appreciate this feedback and we're sharing it with our design team. Please let us know if we can help with that return, or with finding a replacement.

Neat piece!
This jacket is perfect for cool summer evenings or even chilly fall and spring days. The fleece is soft as ever and makes a great liner, but also looks great reversed. The water resistant lining is great for rainy or damp days. 2 jackets in 1, great value, especially from a brand like Patagonia!
Thanks for the feedback Adolfo! Since this is a reversible piece, we do keep the shell portion softer so that flexibility allows one to wear it with either side facing out. If you'd like something a little more substantial, we recommend checking out the [Men's Lined Isthmus Hoody](https://www.patagonia.com/product/mens-lined-isthmus-hoody/20425.html?dwvar_20425_color=MEBN&cgid=mens-jackets-vests).

Tom
Bought the jacket for my trip to Alaska. Will use it if needed. Pretty mild so it is still sitting in my suitcase.
This Microdini jacket, is extremely practical and versatile, and really quite sharp being a fleece jacket, the shell side reminds me of a Cassic James Dean look / rebel without a cause. I got it in teal, I love the colors and the materials and quality are top notch as to be expected from Patagonia. This light teal color especially on the shell side... Read More will stain easily (my only concern). I really love this jacket and am looking to get a lot of different use out of it daily if need be, and keep it a long time, as long as I do my part and take good care of it.
Plenty heat in here.
The sleeves seem a bit shorter then normal, however I have verryy long arms and they still fit in that size L just fine. Cool Jacketo! Highly recommend to anybody, would make a super gift as well. :)
Typical Patagonia high quality materials, construction, and concept. My problem with it was a design issue. With the nylon side in, it fit perfectly. With the fleece side it, it was much too small. I really wanted to like it, but had to return it.
I have discovered Patagonias perfect product! I love to climb, surf, fish, hike, and camp, all of my Patagonia gear is fantastic for all these things. But to and from campus, I have a jacket for outside and a killer fleece for inside the library. This ones gonna be hard to beet. Highly recommend.
I was looking for a lightweight alternative to my shelled capilene jacket (wish it was still made), and found shelled reversible microdini. I purchased a small, but as other reviews said, it runs too small with the fleece side in. So I purchased a medium, and compared both, and kept the medium.
My refund for the small was credited the day the packa... Read Morege left the post office.
Love the Fresh Teal/blue color combination , and it is very comfortable.
I purchased this jacket for the morning walk with the dog. This is the second Patagonia product I have selected for this duty. I returned because I liked the first one so much. This jacket works great. It is comfortable, it sheds some water and it breaths fairly well.
The zippers, cuffs and collar are comfortable.
Great dual jacket. The size is true fit. Keeps me warm even enough because I like to layer up, however I believe it will do the job below freezing also. Its stylish no matter how you wear it.
Unfortunately this jacket has two sizes! When worn with the fleece inside the jacket is one size smaller than stated. The fleece grabs what ever shirt you are wearing and bunches it up. In addition the thickness of the fleece makes the jacket smaller when worn in this manner. When reversed with the nylon inside the jacket is sized as stated. The ja... Unfortunately I will be returning this item. Most disappointed!
Thank you for this feedback on the design of this jacket, Ken. We're sorry it didn't fit as well when it was reversed! Please let us know if we can be of any help with that return.

Great quality, well made!
Got the Basin Green in XXL (XL was out of stock) and was worried it would be too big given the comments of other reviewers. I'm 6'00", 220, 17.5" neck, and 35" arm length and this is a slightly small fit. Worried it will be too tight with long sleeve dress shirts, and I am sure a XL would have been. Wanted to put this out t... Read Morehere for other stocky guys thinking of getting their normal size - I would suggest going up a size. The jacket is outstanding - just the right weight, and the quality of the material used seems top notch. Very happy with the purchase.
Had this type jacket, still have it, but many miles and didn't think there was an available replacement. Happy to find this happier when received. Perfect Spring/Fall casual wear.
5'10"-185/lbs-44"chest-32 waist. Large is a right on fit.
I ordered this item online, through the store. I did this because the color I wanted was out of stock. The packaging and shipping were superb; the timing was excellent. My only complaint was that the jacket was extremely wrinkled out of the package. I am going to have the jacket steamed to remove the wrinkles. This, I believe, can be done at a dry ... I use this jacket as an outer layer for work/casual. I cant speak to how well it resists the elements, but it is very comfortable. I bought another Patagonia 100% waterproof jacket for when I bike to work in the rain or whatever, but this one is wonderful as a general go-to piece.
Comfort & style are as expected. it can get toasty around these SoCal 67-degree winters so itll hang in true colder environments like the office tundra.
It has a shell that will hold against minor brushes with shrubs, etc.
Its not bulky. Im 6ft and built like if James Franco worked out and the cuffs are just by my wrists. The elastic cuffs ... Read Morefit snug around wrists. The pockets are super warm. The fleece side is thicc enough and warm.
Fits tight when fleece is inside and looser on the other side. Pockets are snug so maybe don't wear gloves
I've had this for about 1-2 months now and it has been my go-to fall jacket. Light but keeps you warm when it needs to. However, everytime I wash it despite following the care instruction, the fleece material sheds a lot and transfer to other clothes. It might ran out of fleece in no time.
Hey Justine, thank you for the review. We're sorry to hear of the excessive shedding. If this issue persists, please reach out to our [customer service team](https://help.patagonia.com/s/) and we'll happily set you up for a warranty evaluation.

A New Favorite
Been wearing my blue/green Microdini jacket for the past couple of weeks in this Midwest fall and its fantastic, a legit new favorite. Houdini nylon on one side and Micro D fleece on the other, the reversible jacket has two different personalities, depending on which way you want to go. It fits true do size in terms of overall length and on the arm... Read Mores (similar to the Down Sweater), and is a bit more snug with the fleece in the inside, roomier with the nylon in, which is great for layering. Why do I like it so much? Its lightweight and downright cool-looking, the pocket options are plentiful, the details are well thought out and the shell/fleece combo just works. Come winter I expect I could still wear it as an outer layer on most but the coldest of days, this one exceeded expectations.
