Warm and Cozy Hat
This hat is incredibly warm and I love the style. I bought it to replace an old beanie that I lost and was really impressed with the quality. It has a thick knit but is still soft and not scratchy at all. This hat just feels like it was built for life (if I can manage not to lose this one!). A bit overkill for where I live in San Diego, but it'... Read More;s nice and cozy for windy winter mornings, days in the mountains, and cold nights in the high desert.
Amazing quality, kind of small
I got two of these because I loved the designs. They're quite exceptional quality. My only gripe would be that they're kind of tight. I'm not some giant, but I have a decently big noggin and these things are a bit snug, though stretchable (I dropped a medicine ball into each of them and that seemed to do the trick!). I can't ima... Thick and comfy
The moment I pulled the hat out of the package, I could tell it was high quality. The material is thick, which makes it warm, but stretchy, which allows it to form nicely to my head. One of the reason I buy Patagonia gear is because I dont want to buy a replacement item next season. I dont think Ill have to buy a replacement ever based on the durab... My boyfriend and I fight over this hat. Literally.
This is my hat, but my boyfriend will steal it and wear it. I have it in the Plum color, but I think that's discontinued. I actually bought him a different Patagonia hat that matches his own coat, so he would stop taking mine. lol. It does run a little small, but it still fits on both our heads. Neither one of us has a huge head. Mine is 21... Read More 3/4" and I don't know what his is, just that it's a little bigger than mine. Somehow, the hat feels really snug to me (in a borderline uncomfortable way...) but I get used to it after I've had it on for a while and it doesn't creep up on my head and pull all my hair up with it... So, It's actually really comfy and not going to fall off at all. I think the initial feeling of having a snug hat, when my other beanies are not as snug, was alarming for me... but I would caution against this design if people have larger heads and usually have trouble with one size hats.
I love this hat. I love how it looks and feels. The material is super soft and thick. The colors are vibrant. Its a cute hat. The only thing is its a bit big on my head. I typically have a larger than average head as well. Its snug around my head, but long. Though, its really not a huge problem.
Warm, cute, and covers my ears
I needed to an update on my last Patagonia hat from 8 years ago and this one fits the bill. Pom Pom hats often look silly on me but this one fits just right. It covers my ears, keeps me warm, and I still cute. I've just worn it on walks and playing outside with my kids.
In so many ways, this beanie is perfect: Heavyweight, solid construction, warm, soft and amazing color (more purple please!). But why is it so danged tight? It honestly feels like I got a child size by mistake. I had to give it to my wife because it hurt my head after a few minutes (and I'm bald, not like I have a huge mop to work around). Bum... "This is a NICE hat"
These were the words I uttered when I pulled it out of the bag upon delivery. Thick, substantial hat and WARM! Love finding treasures on sale--I know this will last many seasons. I continue to feel good in supporting Patagonia's conservation mission and ethical approaches to production.
New favorite winter hat
Found the one color combo that I love in the red, white and blue. Reminds me of the Buffalo Bills, which I'm not a fan of the team, but I am fan of their uniforms! This hat is incredibly warm and unlike any other winter hat I've owned. I could tell the difference straight away from the weight and feel of the material.
Great hat - better colors needed
I like this hat so much, I bought it twice, once last year when they had a sale, and again this year to purchase a pattern that was slightly more toned down. It's one of the warmest hat I've owned but I wish they designed at least one that was just a simple black or gray so it stands out a little less for those of us who have to wear it t... Warm, not overly bulky, doesn’t itch. Only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is that it’s seeming to need an extensive “break-in” period. If I don’t stretch the knit and intentionally push it down closer to my head, a pocket of air remains and it looks like a pointy cone on top of my head. I’m hoping the knit will relax over time.
Perfect Snow Hat
I normally wouldn't buy a synthetic fiber hat, but I picked this one up at one of the retail stores on a whim and tried it on. It's perfect! The fabric is more soft like cotton, rather than scratchy like polyester or wool. It's nice and thick for warmth, but still has a really good stretch to it. It's long enough to pull all the... Read More way down over my ears for those freezing tent camping trips. I have the park stripe in craft pink and navy blue, and I love the color way. The only thing I would change is that the tag is stitched into the seam so that I had to cut it out instead of using a seam ripper.
Warmest hat I’ve ever owned
This is the warmest hat I’ve ever owned. Perfect for cold, snow, wind, and anything else Mother Nature can throw at you. Good for trail running, hiking, winter backpacking and I bet it would be a great hat for skiing. The first time I wore I made me yearn for snow. Well done.
Sweater for your Head
When I first put on this glorius garment, I felt as though my head was being cradled by a sweater. I then proceeded to wear it during my yoga practice, my bath, and even to sleep. The next day, i wore it to work (in all fairness it was snowing), and made all my coworkers try it on to experience it's glory. A few have since purchased the same h... Thick and well made
The Powder Down Beanie is a very good winter hat, especially for very cold and windy conditions. As this is a substantial garment on your head,it nicely shelters the noggin from the elements far better than most winter hats. I really would not call this a Beanie as it makes it sound more of a light weight winter hat. This certainly is not a light we... Read Moreight. Favorite beanie by far
This hat is well made, has good fit,and is incredibly warm. works well as a single and double cuff beanie. Material is thick enough to stand up to riding trees, getting caught on branches and such. Only issue is superficial, the seam on the hat is pretty large and can look bulky. That being said, this is still my everyday go to beanie.
Top quality beanie
This beanie is Patagonia products in a nutshell. It is extremely well made, the stitching is tight and it holds shape. This beanie is incredibly warm. Found this hat at an outfitter store, been wearing it almost everyday since. I've bought three other hats in the last two years,in search of my "perfect" hat - this is it. Super warm, especially for New England winters (-20 to 40 degrees). Very cute. Nice selection to choose from. Love it!
