Protect America’s Arctic Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 Earth Is Now Our Only Shareholder
Alaska Needs You
More mining and drilling in America's Arctic will push us away from a livable Earth and further into climate chaos. Right now, you can help protect our climate, local communities and biodiversity by asking our government to stop extraction in three areas under threat in Alaska.

If we have any hope of a thriving planet—much less a business—it is going to take all of us doing what we can with the resources we have. This is what we can do.
After returning a previous jacket (can't recall the name) for being too lightweight, I bought this slightly heavier one as it's designed for layering and breathability. I couldn't be happier because 1. it was on sale!! and 2. The design, both functionally (pockets, both big and small and pit zips) and fashionably (love the color sche... Read Moreme) are outstanding. I also admire a company who takes earth friendly matters to heart. Patagonia has been my preferred outdoor clothing co. since 1978.
I decided not to keep the jacket. I loved most everything about it including the pit zips, extra pockets, exterior finish, material, velcro cuffs, and snow skirt, but I hated the hood. The cords don't retract and the hood is large, bulky, and in the way. If this coat had a hood that fits and you could actually see out of, I would have kept it ... Read Moreand gave it 5 stars.
I haven't worn this jacket for skiing yet, but I feel it will be a great addition to my jacket collection. Its more relaxed than an old Snowbelle that Ive worn to death. I feel it will be better for laying on those finicky spring days. It looks and fits great with light layers or with a nano puff underneath. My old one was always comfortable i... Didn't keep it - opted for insulated version
I ordered this coat and the insulated version and kept the insulated one. The regular powder town is basically a shell. Even with a nanopuff underneath, I was worried I would be cold! Fair warning - Im always cold. High quality coat. More of a muted red. Looks great
I got this for skiing and could not be happier! I love the sisu brown color and sized up quite a bit so I could layer underneath and it is perfect. It has kept me warm and dry which is exactly what I needed.
I wanted to love this jacket and wore it skiing 3 times this november, the third in very very light rain. A sprinkle. The water doesn't bead. Or it does in some places but not others so I am returning this for GoreTex. Sad but true...
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review and we are very sorry to hear about the troubles you've had. Please know, with waterproof items you will want to machine wash them in cold water with light detergent and then machine dry them on low heat. This will revitalize your jacket as well as the waterproof membrane on the outside of your jacket. Contaminants like dirt and oil can accelerate the disintegration of the waterproof membrane so it is very important to wash your jackets regularly. With that said, please feel free to reach out to our [Customer Service Team](https://help.patagonia.com/s/?_gl=1*1fng63*_ga*MTQ5ODEyNDA3OS4xNjUyMjExNDc2*_ga_1SYPSJZYJ5*MTY2OTkyNDI3My4yMTQuMS4xNjY5OTI0NTkyLjAuMC4w) at any time and we will be more than happy to help with this return.

Surprising Warmth for Light Shell
Patagonia doesn't have as large a collection of ski outerwear as many of its competitors, but I was determined to vote for the planet with my purchase and went to their store. Since I am tall and slim, I got a W- XS so the fit is a bit awkward. Sleeves, shoulders are great but hips area of the hem tends to ride up when I am cycling. Would be g... Read Morereat to have bottom zippers (or 2-way main zipper) to let this out a bit. Haven't gotten any snow or rain so cannot speak to the water-repellent nature of this, which is very important to me. Overall, jacket seems well made and I like the look.
