I first bought M which was too big so got S instead. The color is nice and it has adjustable velcro in the waist. It comes with "Recco Reflector"a device that can signal the ski resort if you get lost. I'm 5.5 120 lbs.
I bought M at first but they were too big. S is fine. 5.5, 120 lbs. Pants got pockets and velcro in waist for fitting. Also, it has a "Recco Reflector" that makes you searchable to professional rescuers by bouncing back a directional signal to the ski resort.
Just took these skiing as an upgrade from some previous snow pants. Currently 5'6"-5'7" and 170 pounds, and got the large. It fit well, with room for moderate curves (I think my natural waist is ~33" right now, and fullest point of my hips is ~43"). These hit about mid-rise for me - not so low-slung as some of the pant... Read Mores designed for snowboarders, which is good for keeping snow out. Definitely glad I got the uninsulated version - it's less bulky and lets you modify for the weather way more. On a day in the teens, I could layer thermals and pants beneath them; on a day in the thirties just needed a pair of cold-weather leggings to stay warm. Also more of a nice-to-have, but the pockets along the thigh are soooo much nicer for storing odds and ends than ones just below the waistband (which invariably pinch and get uncomfortable while you're sitting on a lift and can't adjust anything lest you lose your wallet to a snowbank 20 feet below).
I bought these to replace some circa 2005 softshell pants and a similarly aged rain pant and they did it wonderfully! We were between 0 and 10 degrees F for a skiing vacation and with the pack out tights, my legs weren't cold. There wasn't enough backside insulation without something to sit on.
Regarding fit, I usually order size 30/Med... Read Moreium, but these have no give at the waist, so they feel a bit constricting when I sit down. They are also about 1 or 2 inches longer than I'd like. It is nice for a ski boot, but I don't like it when it drags with regular boots on.
I've never skied before and the friendly & helpful staff where amazing at finding the right pants for me. The smalls were too small and the mediums were too big, but there is an adjustable waistband on the inside of the pants so I went with the mediums. I've worn them several times already and the quality is great!
Great fabric! Think the pant technology would be great but fit is way off! Legs are beyond large and crotch area way to big ! Wish they fit better I would have kept them!

Great shell pant for Alpine
Great shell pant for Alpine skiing. Good waterproofing, durable. Runs a little short but not a deal breaker, I just like a baggier fit around my boots.
