I originally bought this for an everyday bra, but the double layered thicker fabric made it too warm for the summer (would be ok in winter, but the thick fabric still makes it show under a thin shirt and it looks like you're wearing an undershirt). I bought this for my wife, she's 4'-11" and 95 pounds and the xs was too small for her. It was just too tight around her rib cage. I love these bras but wish for longer straps
These are my favorite bras to wear for my active work life and weekend play. The straps could be a tad bit longer (or adjustable) for taller women like me.
This bra is great, really comfy and fairly supportive without being too tight or leaving marks. Sometimes I forget I have it on! I am planning to order more, my only complaint is that they put a giant 3 inch tag in the bra and it's super annoying and long! Not ideal if sensitive to materials
As many women know, no two bodies are the same and our preferences will vary. Typically I wear 34 B, so I had originally ordered a S. However, after trying on the S and sitting in it for a short amount of time, I knew I needed to exchange for the XS. The band is slightly tighter, but that is OK. What doesn't quite fit is the bra on the breast ... Read Moreitself. I typically prefer a style that is slightly cupped and includes padding as I tend to have sensitivity reactions to loose materials. Overall, I think the product is fine, but not my preferred style. This will be a wear when needed bra.
This has become my daily go-to bra. I am small-chested and its the perfect amount of support and very comfortable. I prefer it without the cup liners but you can take em or leave em.
This bra is very versatile. It is fine for work or sports. The catch is the fit...the straps are fixed length and changing sizes makes the length of the straps differ. I tried an L to start, but the M was the one that worked for me.

In addition to switching bras, I use a cotton ball dipped in vinegar to apply occasionally at night...and I change quickly after activities to keep my skin dry. That said, other bras still caused a rash despite those measures, while this one does not. It is now the bra I wear every where.
I own three of this bra in the striped colorways in xs and s and love them. I was stoked to add a black one to my collection but the one I received is at fully two inches narrower in the band than the others when laid flat (wish I could attach a photo for reference) and is far less stretchy - I couldn't get it over my shoulders.
I have worn this bra skiing, hiking and biking. It does great! You forget that you are wearing it! I am a 34D and a small fit perfect and offers adequate support without feeling like you are wearing a corset. Definitely recommend!
Comfy and snug but not too tight. Bought it for around the house and day wear and it's great. Probably wouldn't run in it but it's fine for a light hike or bike ride.

I ordered this bra to try out a new style and it was on sale. I love it. Its not too restrictive or tight. I feel like I can breathe when Im wearing it and it gives moderate support for running.

I bought mediums even though Small was the recommended size for me. Glad I did. Comfortable fit. Definitely for outdoor activities and casual around the house wear. It isnt super flattering more utilitarian.
I have this bra in a medium, love the stretch and softness, but it is loose at the sternum and gaps forward a bit. still very comfortable. I purchased the small as well; it is a snugger fit, but still comfortable, haven't worn it enough to decide which fit I like better. For comparison, I have a 31" ribcage, and am a C-D cup.
have bought these bras over the years and have always liked them - it seems that the desighn has changed because now the shoulder sraps sre set wider apart in front and i found that there was gapping in the front and digging in around the front of the armpits - also the chest band was restricting.I'm very disappointed as this was a great bra.

I have a consistent problem
I have a consistent problem with my bra straps sliding off my shoulders. I feel that bras that cross in the back are very uncomfortable and this bra because it has a narrower distance between the straps at the back, works perfectly for me especially when I work out. My straps do not slip off my shoulders.

First, I took the light pads out, didnt need them. This bra gives enough support and coverage on its own, for this 36B. Can wear it all day, being fairly active and not want to yank it off immediately at the end of the day. Thats a high complement from me

Comfy
This is very comfortable without being too tight. I don't need a lot of support so I prefer a bra that isn't tight around the ribs. This works great. Also, shoulder straps are soft and comfortable and stay put.. They don't drift off the shoulder or towards my neck.
The fit is good Im a B cup with athletic back and shoulders so I need a 40 to get around my lats. For I got this for backpacking, hiking and a quick dive into a high alpine lake. The fabric is soft and there are no seams. My skin is sensitive to seam threads, tags and clips so this piece is perfect for me. Comfort is King errr.. Queen.
I got this based on a review by a thru hiker for a six day hike in the High Sierras. I wore it every day. The black color is opaque and the fabric thick enough that it easily doubles as a swim too for quick dips in a lake. Soft! Comfortable. The traps didnt
Soft! Comfortable. The traps didnt get in the way of my pack straps to much. Materials dries quickly and hold moisture well. Its not super supportive but comfortable for glacier travel and hiking.
Im usually at 34c.
I hate wearing bras, but sometimes I need to, so I decided to try out this bra. I love it. It is so comfortable. My regular bra size is a 30D or 32C. I bought a small and it fits perfectly. Not too tight or too loose. My only minor criticism is that it does not wick sweat as well as I had hoped.
WFH bra that lasted less than 18 months (literally fell apart)
pros:
- VERY comfortable, i have this bra in three colors and started wearing these during COVID stay-at-home orders.
cons:
- i'm a 36C, this bra is comfortable but it provides very little support. i wear it to work from home, i wouldn't even wear it hiking.

Perfect bra
I have the challenging combination of huge shoulders (from climbing) and small cup size. My measurements would be a 38 A if that even existed. These bras are the only sports bras that work for me for long outings where I want to be comfortable. These are my go-to for backpacking, climbing, long runs, and anything else where I want to be comfortable... Read More and happy over a long time frame. The cut isn't very flattering for cute lower cut workout tops, but that's not really what I use this bra for anyway. I have 2, and I'm planning on wearing them into threads!
I liked the fit and style but the lining wasnt enough to keep things from showing through so I had to return. Too bad but at least Patagonia makes the return process easy.
I have worn every version of the mesh bra that Patagonia has come out with for almost two decades. The version with the wide straps from a few years back was my absolute fave, and I have SEVEN of that type. This latest version is terrible for me. The wide strap version was super flattering, just the right level of compression, made me look even better than a regular underwire bra. I feel like most of these positive reviews must come from women with A/B cups who only use this latest mesh bra for no-impact activities like yoga, but I dont even like wearing this on a hike. Please bring back the version with wide straps, or tell me how to find more of them and I will buy seven more keep this version around for women whose boobs barely bounce, and bring back the wide strap one for the rest of us! So comfy
This bra is great! It is supportive when I need it, but feels like I'm not wearing a thing!
All of my sports bras are from Patagonia and in this cut. It's flattering - it isn't too tight and very cool for climbing. I have bought this many times over the years and this latest iteration is their softest yet.
I just purchased my fourth and fifth of these bras. I adore them. I originally bought one for a 200 mile hiking trip; wanted quick dry and not too hot, but still supportive. I ADORED it and bought more, now wear them pretty much every day for every occasion, and have slept and swam in them when necessary too! They're just pretty and practical ... Read Moreenough to wear without a shirt on a hot day, yoga class, sports, etc.
Some things to know:
- Yes, you can sometimes/often see nipples through a tshirt when wearing them. For heavier sports or work (no nipples lol), I sometimes choose to switch.
- I usually don't like pull on bras, but this is stretchy enough that it's not a problem.
- After about a year and a half of constant use they got a little soggy/worn out... However, that's a LOT of use! Totally worth it.
- I got medium; I usually wear a 34 C or slightly smaller. They're so stretchy and adaptable, and soft/comfy!
- I hang dry instead of dryer; they dry soooo fast anyway and it helps the elasticy fabric last longer.
Bottom line: If you're looking for something comfy (I forget it's on), supportive but not intrusive, casual but sporty, adaptable - this is an ideal bra. I hope they never discontinue this style! <3

I have had this sport bra for over a a year and absolutely love it! I use it for day to day wear and running primarily. Super comfortable, soft, and holds up well. I have no complaints, would highly recommend !
It's comfy, the racerback is a good balance of delicate and durable. Holds the girls just fine for light exercise. The top front of the bra has a very straight line, no dip, which is different from my other bras that have a similar style. It seems like a solid piece for the collection, but nothing particularly amazing.
Several years back they made this bra with much wider straps. I owned one and it was the most perfect bra ever even though the elastic frayed all over the place. The thin straps on this version dig into my shoulders and I don't find it nearly as comfortable. Bring the wide straps back please!!!
I was not happy with this current cut of this bra. I have an older version of this - it's amazing it has lasted for a long time and no shrinking, no tears it's as good as new and I wear it all the time. (I have a few) I just wanted more and a new one. But alas it's not the same as the 2012 version which to me, was perfect.

Perfect for every day
This is my favorite bra. I wear it everyday for almost every occasion. Perfect for low-medium impact and comfortable enough for casual wear.
Super comfortable and light fabric! Elastic isn't too tight, so it's also not super supportive - probably wouldn't wear it running unless I got a small. Medium is great and the black is a great staple for my wardrobe.

While I will admit the pre-2017 styles of this bra are my absolute favorite go-to sports bras (the current offering being a little looser along the top chest), I still love this bra. Please, please, please, release more colors and dont do away with this one. None of your other sports bra offerings compare to the simplicity and comfort of this bra. Additionally, no other companies make a great alternative - Ive tried Lulu Lemon, Athleta, Nike, Adidas, Target etc. Gap has a slightly close comparison but it is not the same and does not offer the eco-consciousness and durability I appreciate when buying Patagonia goods.

Every few years I will order a Patagonia bra in hopes it fits me better. Unfortunately still not good for me. The Active Mesh Sports Bra does not stay put...it creeps up. I think the straps are too short for my longer torso. Beyond the fit, the rest of the bra seems solid. Nice feel to the material.
Wonderful construction. Comfortable, although a bit snug across the shoulders. Not a tight sports bra on me, more of a gentle support, which is fine for my body. I like the material and color as well.

Snug & Functional
This is a great sports bra. I use it for casual activities and it keeps the girls in place. I appreciate that theres control without having to adjust straps , hooks or wires. I bought a medium and I am a 34D.
I got this bra for long distance hikes but turns out its really comfy to wear daily. Except there is an issue with how it was designed. Where the stitches meet on the back of the bra makes the fabric hard and risen, which makes it uncomfortable. I was sad to see this overlooked, especially at its price.
Soft and comfortable material. I love the material, but the fit isn't 100% right for me. The straps are probably set too wide for my body and can sometimes dig in and be uncomfortable.
For reference, I'm between a 36A and 38A.
I purchased this item in July, and have worn it casually since then. It's really comfortable, and works well for my activities. Unfortunately, I went to put it on this morning and realized that it's completely falling apart on the inside. It's not too tight, and I've never heard it tearing, but this morning I realized that there... Read More are holes and tears all along the band at the base of the bra, on the inside. Sports bra
I liked the overall feel of the bra, but I have small shoulders and it did not fit me. The top front gaped too much, and obviously there's no way to tighten things up. It did feel very comfortable though. Sorry I had to return it.
A tried and true sports bra. Can't go wrong getting yourself one of these, or a few, or more! It's the only sports bra I own. Even on 1 month to year-long expeditions or trips when I have only packed 2 sports bras these continue to fit and do the job.
I purchased this sports bra less than a year ago. I have never put it in the dryer - it has only been laid flat to dry. It is already falling apart. I did by it on sale but absolutely Not the quality I would expect from Patagonia.
Disappointed in my purchase no matter the price tag- I have sports bras from target that have lasted longer.

I love the soft, breathable fabric and straightforward cut of this bra. I ordered a small first, and while it fit in the bust the band was too small around my rib cage. The medium fits around my rib cage comfortably, but there's a bit too much fabric coverage in front now. I'm keeping it for the comfort, also it's a nice under layer ... This bra is great for lounging and doing light activity. I wear this when I don't feel like wearing a real bra and it's perfect. It also stays cool and dries quickly, so it's my go-to backpacking bra-swimsuit item. This provides sufficient support for a larger bust size (D).
These are adorable and I cant wait to wear them with my tights. Only negative is there is no padding so my nipples can show sometimes. Otherwise great!
Really love this bra, but wear it more as a bralette. I have had one for a while and recently purchased a new one. The old one has stretched a lot over time, but I like that.

I love these bras so much that I have about 4 pairs of them. I love to wear these when ever Im hiking, roller skating, weightlifting etc. however, it ripped at the band when I put it on one day. I was not expecting this because Patagonia is great quality in my opinion and I was really sad when this happened.
I bought this bra a few months ago, just looking for something comfy. And boy did I hit the jackpot. I love this bra so much, for easy going day to day, as a makeshift swimsuit top, or under a shirt if I get too hot. I am a full 34C and a medium fit great. Ill be getting another for sure!

I'm very small chested, so the support (or lack thereof) of this bra doesn't bother me. There is no padding, so if I didn't want to show the world when I was cold, I'd avoid wearing the bra under tight fitting tops. Otherwise, i'm excited to not be tugging up bra straps all the time. comfy enough to sleep in!
Most of the time I wear a medium (36B), but it was too tight around the rib cage. The large fits perfectly.
This bra fits super well and is very very comfortable. Perfect for yoga but I also wear it to work. It would not be supportive enough for a running bra for me. So comfortable!!

I am MADLY IN LOVE with my old active mesh sports bras. I own 5 from the Fall 2012 line (I know this because they used to print the item # and season in the bra). My old bras provide plenty of support for my medium to high impact activities and hold everything snug and secure. This new active mesh bra is for much bustier women. The piping along the... Read More top is gone, leaving an area that gaps out away from the chest when a person leans forward, such as to do push-ups, etc. The band is still plenty snug, but this provides very little support for the breasts themselves. Whereas I could run/hike/HIIT with my old active mesh bras, this one is good primarily for lounging around the house. This was my go-to bra as a smaller-chested woman, but it looks like I will need to find another fit/brand. It's great to have bras for all shapes and sizes, but disappointing when there's no consistency as to the "same" cut from year to year, as this is a much different bra than it used to be. Straps are also too long, and unsupportive.

In the future I would love a wider variety of solid colors (patterns on bras tend to show through under my clothing). I also wanted to add, simply for Patagonia's knowledge, that there was a small stitching mistake on one of the two bras of this style I ordered, where the strap was fraying, but that is the first time I've ordered anything from Patagonia with a construction problem. I easily fixed it myself, since I am working on learning to fix and repair my own clothes, and I didn't think it was worth the carbon footprint for shipping a repair or exchange. I love this bra, but it runs small!
Great bra and I wear it a lot because it's comfortable. However make sure you size UP! I bought a large and it's still pretty snug. And I'm a size B! I'm definitely not large breasted. But the large looks great on me.
This is great- it fits true to size and is extremely comfortable. The fabric is soft and doesn't chafe at all. It washes really well. It also fits perfectly- the strap length matches what the band should be for your cup size. I use this for lower impact activities and love it.

I used to love this but they changed the cut
I have several from years ago, and keep trying to buy new ones to add to my wardrobe. But they have changed the cut/fit completely. It is now too tight, too short, too little material. This used to be my all time favorite everyday. I am so sad I don't know where else to look

The best!
Expensive but so comfy and lasts forever! I wear these with the briefs for skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, hiking, and to work!
I bought 2 of these bras for sport and casual wear. I find them to be comfortable all day and work well for small breasted women (I'm 32-b and ordered size small). Also, they are cute as a camisole look under low-cut tops. I'll probably get more over time for the different colors and patterns.
Love these bras. Have been wearing them for years. The fabric in The ones I just purchased do not seem to be as thick -they have a looser weave. Hope they last as long.
This bra is soft, cute and comfortable, but it is not supportive for larger busts (30DD, size xs provided adequate coverage, but no support). The straps also stretch out after only a few hours of wearing. That said, I do think it would be a nice item to bring along on backpacking/winter yurt trips to have something light and comfortable to change i... Initially I thought I would like the cut of this sports bra, but it turns out it really pinches my armpits. I've gotten a size small sports bra from Patagonia before, and that's what size I got in this, so I think the cut of it has to do with my discomfort, not the size.

Active mesh bra
I really enjoy this product! I got a couple and then thought that they were so comfortable that I got a couple more....and may end up with a few more by the end of the year ;)
I like this bra for the moderate support and the sweat wicking fabric but I did like the thicker straps on the older model. This bra seems more similar to bralette with the smaller straps versus the other model where the straps were thicker and more supportive.

Less for more
The quality of this bra is getting cheaper every time I order it. The coverage in the back is less and the straps are tighter and less comfortable. I have ordered the same size for three years in a row and this iteration is very skimpy. The price is way too high for the quality.
Great fitting sports bra that is so comfortable I wear it for everyday in addition to exercise. Not a ton of support but I have gone on runs in it without issue. Athletic build. 5'11" size 36B bra and I own this in both medium and large. Both work, but much more secure in the medium.
Washed the sports bra once and the green almost completely faded. Not worth $45 which is disappointing because I usually love all of my Patagonia gear and don't mind spending more for the quality. Disappointing with this product however. Other than the color, the fabric has held up nicely.
This is my favorite bra top.

I took 3 bras on my trip to Ecuador last summer. Loved everything about this bra and just bought two more for my next trip. The size was perfect and fabric felt great. I had to hand wash my clothes and these bras dried very quickly. Highly recommend for backpacking, camping, and rock climbing. Super reliable and comfortable bra
I bought a few of the active mesh bras back in 2017 and just love them. Cute flattering patterns, cute colors, comfortable not too tight fit. I wanted to add one or two additional active mesh bras to my wardrobe, as they're pretty much all I wear anymore, but I was so disappointed by the changes. As with all bras, personal preference is huge here. I love this style, it's not too constricting but it's great for the activities in which I participate (rock climbing, hiking, biking, yoga). Probably not the best bra for running or other high impact sports, but great for slower pace and lower impact!
