Hat for it all

This hat is great for high energy snow sports. Flaps up skins on - flaps down turns in pow!

Love this hat!

This hat is great. I have a few of the regular duckbill running hats for the warmer months, so I was pretty pumped to stumble upon this guy for the colder months. While it's not quite as warm as a traditional beanie, the ear flaps do well to cover the ears to keep them toasty. Advantages over a beanie are four-fold: 1.) earbuds fit comfortably... Read More without added pressure/tightness; 2.) the ear flaps are easily folded up to allow for venting while still keeping the head warm; 3.) for those with pony tails, there's a brilliant slit to pull your hair through, keeping all other functions in tact; 4.) visor for sun protection. Plus, as a big fan of blue, the two color choice are perfect. The hat fits well with both the ear flaps pulled down and folded up. Adjustable back strap to dial in fit while on the run.

Basically useless, does not keep ears warm.

The problem with this hat is that the earwarmer portion is loose and does not fit closely against the head. So, while running, it flaps around and my head gets cold. I have worn the hat a couple of times and every time I get home feeling a brain freeze type of feeling. I have plenty of (non winter) caps and plenty of beanies (which do actually keep... Read More my head warm) so this item is relatively useless in my opinion.
