Hey Todd, thanks for the review. Unfortunately, inventory has a tendency to dwindle as we get further along in the season. We checked and sadly we will not be restocking the Navy Blue colorway, but we do still have the Dark Natural available in a large if you're interested! If you haven't sent it back yet you can begin an exchange by [connecting with our customer service team](https://help.patagonia.com/s/?_gl=1*120bmst*_ga*MTE3MzgxOTU4OS4xNjQ3NTMxMTc0*_ga_1SYPSJZYJ5*MTY3NDI0Njc0MC40NDEuMS4xNjc0MjQ4NTEyLjAuMC4w).

Quality clothing
This is my fifth Patagonia cashmere. One unique, each one beautifully made. This is my first recycled one and it's perfect. Highly recommended.

Better than previous Patagonia cashmere
Previous Patagonia cashmere was not capable of much abuse. It developed holes quickly. This product seems more durable and I am glad I gave Patagonia cashmere one more try.
Nice Patagonia Cashmere Quality - Wish it were more fitted
I love Patagonia Cashmere sweaters. Ive worn several out. The blue sweater from the last generation of cashmere quarter (or one of the last - call it 2012) was one of my favorites and I was hoping this sweater was basically the same as that. It is 80 percent there - sleeves, neck, material, torso are all good. My only grip is that It is cut sort of... Read More like a box, where the old version was more fitted at the waist. All good, just a different fit and look. I liked the old version better, but the new version is a keeper and I'm glad to have it.
For reference, I'm 6 ft 3 in, 210 lbs, big across the chest and shoulders, and a 36 inch waist.
Not "cashmere" enough with irritating collar length
the collar was higher than desired. The fabric was not as soft as I anticipated with cashmere past experiences. size was correct and remarkably the sleeves were perfect length which almost never happens ( usually sleeves always too long).
this is a very nice layer to keep you warm and be able to put on ubdera Coat or where in the office or casually around town.
The fit is very good. I am 5 foot six about 170 pounds
This sweater is super light and soft. As light weight as it is, I didnt expect it to be this warm. I ordered this to be on the snug side and it was perfect for what I wanted.
Wearing this to a dinner tomorrow, tried it on.... Kinda wish I had the money to buy every single color! Looks elegant and feels elegant on an athletic build
First cashmere sweater Ive ever owned and now I know what people talk about. Its super soft and somehow has a greater range of temps that it is comfortable to wear (less on and off).
At first I thought it was kindof thin for a warm garmet but this sweater is actually very warm. I love the zip neck. It's casual but nice enough to wear out to dinner, work, social gatherings. Love it.
Years ago Patagonia made a 1/4 zip heavy weight cashmere sweater that had a waffled interior and double layered elbows. I can't remember if that was 10 years or more but I still have a few of those sweaters that are wearable but needed replacement. Three years ago I purchased the "new" version of this sweater; unfortunately, the qual... Read Moreity has declined severely! Everyone of them has been destroyed... Whereas the old sweater could be worn repeatedly and washed without pilling, the "new" sweater looks like a sheepdog after one wash cycle (yes I followed the instructions) and continues to pill after each wear...now they're threadbare as a result. The old sweater's double elbow made that area last, the "new" sweater has such thin elbows that they are worn through after less than one season of use...certainly a disappointed customer. I hope someone there understands that there are still those of us that use these items for much more than a "coffee shop" run and brings back the quality outdoor gear that made Patagonia such a well known brand. Please!!!
This was my first recycled cashmere item; its very soft and pleasant but a little looser in the weave than Id prefer. Thats the only reason I gave it four stars instead of five.
I submerged the sweater in cold water for a gentle wash and when I took it out my hands were covered in wool fibers. It was shocking how many fibers came off the sweater.
I own other wool sweaters (some from Patagonia that I bought years ago) that do not shed this much wool with a gentle wash.
I have bought many items from Patagonia over the pas... Read Moret decade, and this is the only item I can recall writing a negative review for.
Oh no, we are incredibly sorry to hear about this, Andrew! It is very possible that this was a defective item, and we would be more than happy to get it replaced for you. If you reach out to our [Customer Service Team](https://help.patagonia.com/s/), they will be more than happy to help get you into another sweater.

Dressy casual “Cashmere George Cashmere”
I’m 6 ft 200lbs w 35” arms. I bought the XL to make sure of arm length. It fits great for me. I like a looser fit and the XL is perfect. Great value for a cashmere sweater. My 5’10 190lb athletic build with regular arm length got a Large and likes the tighter fit.
I own two circa 2013 Patagonia cashmere 1/4-zip sweaters, which are on constant rotation through the cold Midwestern winter months. I didn't expect this one to be identical, given it's recycled cashmere, and many years have passed, but I was surprised to discover how thin it was in comparison to my old sweaters. It's more of a spring... Read More/fall sweater than a winter sweater. Returned it, unfortunately.
We thank you for your review and are sorry to hear of the disappointment with the latest version of our Recycled Cashmere 1/4-Zip Sweater. We'll take note of your feedback. In the meantime, if you'd like to see if you can score any 2013 versions, check with our [Worn Wear](https://wornwear.patagonia.com/) website. On there, we sell lightly used gear from past seasons, and you may get lucky!

warm good-looking comfort
I like this sweater. It is a loose fit just shy of feeling too large - though it is not too long as is frequently the case with roomy fitting clothing. I am a little concerned for durability as I wore it during the first week after I received it and the finish is already showing some signs of pilling and wear - I was taking simple walks on the beac... Read Moreh and hanging by the fire during a stint in the NorthWest. Time will tell.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the Men's Recycled Cashmere 1/4-Zip Sweater. As with any knit item, friction over time can cause pilling. Unfortunately, the only thing that could really be done about this is using a sweater stone to help remove it. If you find that you're unsatisfied and feel like this sweater is pilling an unreasonable amount, it is covered by our Ironclad Guarantee and you're welcome to [send it back](https://www.patagonia.com/returns.html).

I wore it everyday for a week...
This recycled Cashmere Sweater
is super comfortable...and incredibly versatile!
For a tall slim guy this is a nice relaxed fit. Very soft, very warm, looks great in the office, so comfortable to wear a home over a T shirt and feel very put together. Love that it is recycled
Super warm and great looking quarter zip. Its equally at home at the office over a button up with some jeans or out to dinner on the weekends. I originally ordered a large based on the size chart (42R and 34 inch waist), but it was way too big. The medium I replaced it with is perfect. Love it! Highly recommended.
I'm very impressed w the recycled cashmere. It's a very functional and high quality product and fits my husband well. I would definitely buy this again.
Soft, comfortable, good looking and warm. Some of the best cashmere sweaters I have come from Patagonia. I've bought five over time.
There is one thing that stops this from being the very top rating and that's the "Patagonia" tag on the outside left seam this year. It doesn't belong there.
I'd like to see next years&#... Read Morex27; versions without the tag and with the color black offered.
It's a very nice sweater, warm and comfortable. But, it has an ugly "Patagonia" brand tag on the lower left side sticking out. Of course the pictures on the web site conveniently hide it.
It is so high quality and is comfortable. It looks good and feels good. Like all of Patagonias products that you know have so much integrity. You can feel good feeling good!
This sweater has a classic good look to it. Its got a casual, oh, I didnt mean to look like a movie star kind of vibe. Its perfect.
Just really hope it lasts!!
Was somewhat sceptical about recycled Cashmere until I received the sweater. A new favorite has been found. Perfect fit, perfect warmth and perfect style for work!
This is a very nice cashmere sweater. It is not as thin as some others of similar style and the cashmere is less soft than some because it is thick. It wears and breathes wonderfully while layered over light eight shirt or thermal base layer. The fit was really perfect for me. For a large it prob runs on the smaller side. It seem like a more durabl... Read Moree cashmere and a knit quality that does not seem like it will chaffe. Price is high but you do get what you pay for in this case! Very nice sweater, defiantly the best one I have ever owned. Love the khaki color as well!
Hi Darrell! Thank you for your feedback and we're sorry to hear about the pilling issues you've been having. We recommend washing your fleeces by hand in cool-cold water or separately in your washing machine on the gentle cycle. It's best to lay it flat to dry rather than place it in the dryer. We see that you returned this fleece, so we went ahead and emailed you with an update on your return in case you needed it. Thanks for your review!

Warm sweater
Soft warm cashmere sweater that you feel good about wearing.
A beautiful sweater. The collar is not floppy, but stands up. The sizing is that perfect happy medium where the sweater is neither is too frumpy or too tight. This classic is amazing versatile - can be dressed up or down depending on what you wear with it. Love it.
We're sorry to hear you're disappointed with our recycled cashmere. Please still feel free to [return](https://www.patagonia.com/returns.html) it if you haven't already. For a similar look, but softer feel, we'd recommend the [Men's Off Country Pullover Sweater](https://www.patagonia.com/product/mens-off-country-pullover-sweater/50595.html).

Buttah
Love mine. Plan to get another.
Run slightly large IMO. Might size down next time.
The sizing is true to size, the touch and feel for this sweater is really soft and comfortable. This is a great piece for light layering or a casual night out. It is perfect for what I thought it would be, and warmer than you think for its weight.
Beautiful sweater, so soft and really warm. Got it toward the end of the cold weather season so haven’t had a chance to wear it much but so far am really impressed. Fits very well - I wear a medium in Patagonia clothes like the Micro D jacket, but a large in the Down Sweater.
This is my "go to" sweater . I have a brown one, and a dark gray one. Both are beautiful. They are expensive, but worth every penny! I'm so glad that Patagonia brought it back! It also looks dressier, so you can wear it just about anywhere.

I love the new recycled one that I got this past year. It is just as soft , but seems to be a bit sturdier. Also, it doesn't seem to pill.
More colors Please!!!!!
I’m quite pleased to see this item back in your collection. During the winter I live in a t-shirt with one of your cashmere sweaters over the top. I own half a dozen I’ve been nursing along including a few for almost a decade. Light, stylish, warm, and now recycled to boot.
I have had these for many years. I don't think my old ones are recycled cashmere, but that doesn't matter.
I have a darker green one that is probably 10 years; so old I had to get leather patches on the elbows.
And a blue one, probably 6 years ago, which is my go to sweater for dressy wear in Minnesota winters. I have had to treasure these a... Read Morend have been bemoaning their disappearance from your catalogue several years ago.
So soft, warm, comfortable, and they wear like mad. I just wash them in the washer on a cool gentle cycle
I'll save my pennies and put them on my Holiday List.
How about other colors: green, lighter blue, brown?
You have made me a happy camper.
