Bought this mostly for the recycled wool, but very happy with the fit, color and quality. I wear US 18 or 20, so was thrilled that the XL fit at all. As expected, it wasn't overly boxy for my expectations, but rather met the idea of a comfy, not tight/slim fitting and also not overly big and loose. It is more standard wool, with slight scratchy feel than the recycled cashmere (which I also love), but nothing a shirt beneath doesn't handle. Love it so far.

To me, this is the perfect, classic wool sweater. I ordered a large which is a bit baggy on my frame (curvy). I wear it under my ski shell jacket (Patagonia Triolet) and it keeps me toasty. It is an ideal fit and just wooly enough to remind you that our ancestors were on the right track when they domesticated sheep.
Its wool so it is little scratchy. An undershirt is a must. But so warm and comfy. I can see this being a go to for cool outdoor activities for years to come. Originally got a medium but my DD did not fit so I sized up.
The yarn is lovely, it's super thick and warm and the pattern is great, but the cut for me was just way too boxy. Boxy is cute, but this was too wide and fit really weird when I moved around. I'm on the slim side with broad shoulders and have trouble fitting Patagonia women's stuff - such a bummer. Returning.

I can wear it teaching without an under shirt and it doesn't itch and its not too warm. I can wear it outside in the cold with an undershirt and it keeps me so warm! I love the fit- its very cute and flattering.

Great layering sweater!
Love this sweater (although my dog managed to snag it with his claws ). It is perfect to wear when there is a chill in the air, but it is also very lightweight.
Wonderful old-school wool sweater that is actually hard to find these days. People have gotten away from wearing wool sweaters in favor of synthetic fleece and it's a shame. I am 5'7 and weigh 125lbs with a lanky, straight build and infamously broad shoulders. This sweater fits me great in an XS. The sleeves are long enough for my arms (shocking).
I wear it hiking and bird hunting and while riding my horses beneath other layers or on its own, in my studio while I work, out and about with jeans...
It's been a nice addition to my wardrobe.

Warm and Cozy
I love the recycled wool sweater that I bought, with the pattern around the top. Its a heavy weight, which feels like Im wearing two sweaters, which help me a lot because at my age I get cold very often. Also, it is gray and that is my favorite color.
I'm 5'3", 128 lbs and got the medium. It fits a little looser than I though it would, but I'm happy with it. I think a small would fit me just fine too, just more form fitting. Its super cute and fits nice and light yet warm. Ive had it for less than a month and it already looks worn out, peeling and looks like I may be getting holes in the pit area. Its disappointing considering how much it costs.

I purchased the brown and the cable pattern is pretty. I usually like to wear my sweaters oversized and wear an M in Patagonia but this material was too thin to have a cute chunky oversized look so it just looked large and shapeless on me. 1/5 for the fabric. I was expecting more from Patagonia. I am not at all sensitive to natural fibers, but this sweater was incredibly itchy and irritating just while trying it on. Not soft at all. I wouldn't have made it through the day with any of my skin exposed to the fabric.
I've had this issue with Patagonia wool in the recent past as well. I was really hoping to switch to Patagonia over mall brands for my casual sweaters, but I guess I've learned my lesson to avoid Patagonia wool for the foreseeable future.
