Warm & comfortable classic
I had to wait to purchase the sweater in the color and size desired, and finally got it in June, so testing for warmth hasn't happened. I like the fit as the sleeves are long enough and there is room to layer. The materials are nice and I look forward to wearing this sweater in crappy NW weather for years to come.
I have two of these sweaters and I love the bulk of them and the warmth. They are comfortable, sturdy, and the drape is really nice. Even for someone tall like me who has a hard time finding clothes that fit well, these sweaters are long enough in the sleeves, broad enough in the shoulders, and hang just below the waist. Perfect all around.
THE Best Wool Sweater
I LOVE this sweater. Truly. I wear it almost daily. For cool/cold weather, you cannot beat this sweater. It is absolutely toasty and beautiful. Easy to hand-wash if you need to. I wear it over tank tops and long sleeve shirts and the wool doesn't bother the skin to the touch. I actually bike with it around town as a mid-layer, too. I highly re... The shoulder seems are accurate, arm length is a little long, but not longer than the cuff so it isn't an issue. The sweater sits on the hips nicely withou... Read Moret bunching out at the sides. I am on the waitlist for blue!
Practical and stylish, just like the real thing!
I purchased this sweater to replace a cable-knit one I got in Ireland almost 20 years ago. This sweater does everything I loved about my original, and should last just as long. It really is amazingly versatile, and can be worn as outerwear on cooler days, and a super warm layer it's very cold. Performs just as well, or better than a beefy flee... Read Morece jacket. Though not necessarily in the technical performance category, this sweater can pull it off. Wear it just chillin by the campfire, or on a backcountry ski. Solid investment.
Classic design with eco-friendly materials
I already have a version of this sweater in navy blue from an American designer but this one from Patagonia fits better and offers more peace of mind due to the recycled wool material. The material exceeded my expectations for comfort (soft) and warmth. 5 stars!
