Alaska Needs You
More mining and drilling in America's Arctic will push us away from a livable Earth and further into climate chaos. Right now, you can help protect our climate, local communities and biodiversity by asking our government to stop extraction in three areas under threat in Alaska.

If we have any hope of a thriving planet—much less a business—it is going to take all of us doing what we can with the resources we have. This is what we can do.
The thing about hemp is that it washes really well, much better than those thin cotton shirts. It's thicker than cotton but does not feel warmer. It's super comfortable in all temperatures. For those of us who are older and who may not necessarily want our body line to show, hemp t-shirts are great.
While I love all things Patagonia, the fit of this shirt isnt quite right. Its a bit boxy and short. The color is great, but the material is a bit scratchy, but the thickness is good. It does not seem to fit like typical Patagonia tops.
Thank you for the feedback Alyson! We offer different fits in our items, so that could be why the fit on this shirt seems different to you. This particular shirt has a "regular" fit, you can check the fit on any item by looking underneath the color options on the product page. Some folks find hemp to be a bit itchy, but it will usually soften with time and wear. Favorite shirts
I have 4 of these in different colors! I love the pockets, soft feeling and the durability. I may buy more, love it so much. It became my uniform. If I have to add anything, maybe the button for the pocket so I wont keep dropping my phone.
I love the feeling of hemp and its look. I got a black colour (XS) and it looks slightly faded like vintage. The fabric is thick enough to cover my shape of nipples so I don't have to wear a bra when I wear this t-shirt. I would love to purchase more if they are on sale again.
I love this shirt-it's soft and hangs just right to be flattering. The light purple shade is so pretty yet still durable looking. Material is great at keeping odor away. I'm 5'5" and 135 lbs, and Medium is perfect. I bought a few other colors as well!
I love this shirt and have it in several colors. It's heavy duty and once worn for a few days it breaks into a very comfortable shirt. I usually wear a medium, and I order x-small in this shirt. It stretches out over the course of my work day, so a small gets a little too baggy for me. Still, I wear both the x-small and small and love them! Gr... Farm chores usually eat up my t-shirts within a season. While a little thicker than a normal cotton tee, this is very breathable, comfy and wicking, and the thickness means it's durable. I have the purple color. It's feminine without being girlie, which suits me. Washes well and hasn't shrunk or lost its shape. Happy to have this sta... Read Moreple in rotation!
Hey Rena, thank you for leaving us a review. This shirt is a hemp/cotton blend which unfortunately can be prone to shrinking, especially if washed in hot water. Check out the care instructions below. You're less likely to have this issue with a synthetic material, like our [Capilene Cool Daily Graphic Shirt](https://www.patagonia.com/product/womens-capilene-cool-daily-graphic-shirt/45250.html?dwvar_45250_color=RSPX&cgid=root) which is made from 100% recycled polyester jersey.
Care instructions: machine wash warm, do not bleach, tumble dry low, warm iron.

Great sturdy work shirt
This t-shirt is a nice, substantial weight. However, it might be too warm for a hot day. Otherwise, it works well and layers nicely under a work shirt or jacket. The small seemed roomy, but totally doable. I have one in my regular size small and x small, both sizes work. More color choices would be appreciated.
We're glad you like the shirt and we appreciate your feedback. You might check out our lighter weight [Women's Regenerative Organic Cotton Shirt](https://www.patagonia.com/product/womens-regenerative-organic-certified-cotton-tee/42180.html) for the summer months. Thanks for the review, Margaret!

Scratchy
I like a lot of things about this T-shirt. It's fairly sturdy (heavy), has the boxy fit that I love, and is well made, as is typical of Patagonia clothing, but the hemp makes it scratchy. I find myself wanting to take it off and scratch my back. Wouldn't advise for hot weather.
Hemp. It's not for everyone. I own various brands of Hemp and hemp/cotton clothes from Patagonia, Rawganique, Natural High, and Marcel Hemp and I love them! It's not unusual that the blends tend to pill or that they're blended with cotton because new cotton is softer than unworn hemp. Patagonia was serious when they meant WORK shirt ... Read Moreand the 8 oz fabric is a testament to that. With proper care (hang dry after washing) it will last you a long time. That being said I hiked in warmer temps of 80 degress with a cool ocean breeze and it didn't bother me. That's the wonder of hemp. It's high cellulous content absorbs moisture but wicks/evaporates much quicker than cotton, but NOT everyone like this feeling on their skin. I admit I'm still getting used to the 8 oz blend fabric so there's going to be a trade-off between durability over comfort. However, if it were an 8 oz. 100% cotton shirt I certainly wouldn't wear it. I imagine Patagonia may produce a lighter 5-6 oz. "causual" hemp /cotton in the future for the above reason. Wouldn't mind product testing that ;) Otherwise, the fit was great, I love the color, and the quality is excellent thus far. Best uses are in moderate to warmer temps. So far I haven't seen any of these shirts on Worn Wear so people must love them? In short? I'd recommend this to people who already own hemp clothes and love them and wear them in a variety of situations. I look forward to testing this shirt out further!
I bought this shirt in coral and a light green color. I love them!! They are so comfy, soft, and great for work. The coral is especially great for working on a construction site. I will definitely be getting more of these!
I LOVE this shirt. It is exactly what I was looking for. I don't typically wear a bra, and this is great because the material is thick enough that I don't nip out. My only comment would be is that the sleeves are a little tight in the armpit area, so I would have appreciated a little more room there. Otherwise, great shirt, I have several... Read More of them
I love the design of short sleeve and the fit. I would prefer it to be 100% organic cotton without the hemp but maybe the hemp traps more sweat, etc. Does pill slightly but not too much. Definitely worth the price.
I ordered this shirt recently to replace an old tee, and it is insanely comfortable. Not too heavy, but feels sturdy enough to stand up to daily use in the workplace, garden, and on the trail or the climbing gym.
This shirt is my go to. I love the colors (have all three). Its thickness is ideal for outdoors and layers well with a jacket. These shirts are now apart of my leisurely uniform.
I work in the trades and Ive been trying to find a good shirt to work in and this is it! The fabric is nothing like Ive ever seen before and is very sturdy.
This tee feels like a well-loved, comfy and well-broken-in shirt right off the shelf. For lounging around or looking cool, this is an excellent shirt. When I wore it to work (construction), I realized that the heaviness of this shirt made it hot, and after sweating profusely in it, it became heavier and itchy. I was eager to take it off. I have purchased and wear a LOT of Patagonia. Typically Patagonia is a great product and they have great customer service. However.....

Pilling upon arrival
Purchased this shirt for working around the house. Unfortunately it was already pilling when it arrived, material is scratchy. Given it is a working shirt, Im not sure if this was normal. Also want the shirt to last many years, as I keep most of my clothes forever, and I have my doubts about this one if its already falling apart! I love Patagonia, ... Bought one of these to try out compared to their lighter/thinner "Mainstay Tee". Love them both but this one is more sturdy with thicker material and I'd wear this for more rugged activities like climbing. Super soft material as well. Planning to buy more
Fits TTS- I am 140lbs and it fits about the way it looks on the model. Definitely has the worn rugged look to it and the standard patagonia thickness. Not totally soft, but still comfortable. The pocket is not that large.
OMG....I happen to have large breasts, the pocket is not at exactly flattering. If I happen to slide anything into the pocket, it looks like I have some sort of weird lop-sided thing going on. The shirt itself is soft and comfy but the pocket feature isnt for me.
