The standard inseam is a bit too long but otherwise great fit. I like the wide range of motion and supple material. All the pockets are really solid too. All around really confidence inspiring pair of cargos.
i have owned many pairs of these pants and overall they are are very good. On all pairs that I have owned, I have had to have a seamstress replace the inner white pockets as they wear out quickly. These pants are incredibly tough and durable. I like to call them bulletproof. Im phasing out my old cargo pants for these. I just wish they came in more colors. Well done, Patagonia.
The fabric is very soft and not at all itchy. There is a seam on the cargo pockets that can rub against your thigh slightly, which takes a little getting used to.
These are seriously the only pants I wear. I have a weird fit, narrow waist and big sprinter legs. These are the best fitting pants I've worn and the most durable. I love the iron forge hemp fabric but the cargo version of the cut is a bit ..off. You can feel the inside stitching from the pockets quite a bit. Slightly uncomfortable. I purchase workpants from a lot of different brands. These are most definately the toughest and softest of them all. I think that's where the hemp truly shines. Read Moree are cons for me. First, the run really small in the waist. Like, really small. I wear a size 30" usually (pandemic boosted me to a 31"). I got a 32" just in case and they were still too small in the waist. I ended up with a 33" and they just barely fit the waist. I've never had to buy a 33" in my entire life. Also, the pants are hella baggy. This may not bother some, especially because there is no stretch in the fabric so the extra room is probably necessary. However, I feel that because i had to size the waist up so much, the rest of the pant like the leg width also increased slightly; maybe, I don't know for sure. This is probably more of a preferance for me; many work pants are now slimmer in fit so these seem like old school in fit. Lack of stretch material will definately bennefit these pants in longevity factor. They are so durable I dont think you can ever wear through them. So soft too.
Great pants so far. Only issue if you will is a rivet on one of the back pockets popped off the second time I wore the pants. These pants are amazing. But, they are quite heavy and I would likely only wear them in the Winter in the hot and muggy deep south. Also, the 34" waist was a tag snug for me. Good Pants
I've been wearing these primarily for everyday life for 2.5 years now. I use them regularly for hard hiking and general work. they fit me well. They tend to rip out at the crotch after about a year for me, but I want to stress that I use them religiously and for hard work. I have gone through 3 pairs now, and am ordering more.
Soft, very sturdy, have taken a lot of abuse and wash up great. Heavier than a pair of jeans, but still very comfortable. Good cut, dress up well, and you can move around in them. Would buy again.
I like these a great deal. I have a hemp shirt from Patagonia so I figured Id try the pants. I was very surprised about how comfortable they were. They seem to be holding up well after several washes. Pockets are roomy and useful and the fabric is very flexible unlike other brands of work pants
Without realizing it I had accidently bought a size just a tad tight and after much debate I decided to keep it because of I have been losing weight at a steady rate. This is my first pair of hemp pants, and I'm overall loving them. I was a little concerned the fabric would feel rough, stiff, and uncomfortable but they actually feel great! With some reviews saying they ran really small I was pretty nervous about ordering my normal 36 size, so I had my wife (who has run a custom costumes tailoring business) measure me according to the size chart on the website. Bomber cargo pants
Thoughtfully designed and crafted pants to stand up to the rigors of work, or the fun of the city streets while looking stylish and cool. These cargo pants are the real deal for work and play.
Great pants for work or fun. Very durable and comfortable Im sure will last many years to come. Pockets are well thought out and more useful than other pants I own.
Pants fit great and only wish there were snaps on cargo pockets ( not Velcro please!! ). They are getting softer and even more comfortable with washing and wearing. Loving hemp!
I have several of the Iron Forge hemp garments including the cargo shorts and absolutely love the material. The design is great and I really wanted to keep these. I tried both colors but ultimately did not like the coriander brown and the black is just too dark. Returned both in hopes of better color options in the future.
These are exceptionally well made. In terms of what to do in them, theyd work for casual or work equally well. They are roomy but not baggy, and quite thick and durable. Its one of those items that will do whatever youre doing that day, and do it well.
I purchased these pants in April, 2020 and have worn them nearly daily since then. Now, 1 year and 4 months later the pants are doing great but the pockets are kaput. Comfy, but cargo pockets can't be closed securely.
This is a nice comfy pair of trousers, roomy and stretchy. However, the cargo pockets lack any form of closure, no buttons, nor velcro or zip. These pants fit great. Snug around the waist so they won't expose you when you bend over, but very loose around the hips and thighs for plenty of movement. They are very heavy duty and provide reasonable protection from stickers and even barbed wire.

I would trip over the leg cuffs, but the waistband is tight. So while I checked "true to size" they are not "true to proportion". I'm not sure whether these are exacting size, but they do feel a bit snug. Snug in good ways and snug in bad. The bad mainly is the waistband itself, and the good is the butt area feels just right (not too snug, not too loose). Plenty of room for knees, as I recall. But here's the thing: I HATE the pockets. For some reason they are down on the top and outside of my knees. Too low, and angled strangely. Also very heavy material, so even with nothing in them they impede the comfort. I'm used to wearing another popular, albeit much cheaper cargo pant, and their pocket placement is perfect (I carry my phone there, handy, out of the way, and safe, even lacking any closure). Missing an outer pocket for pencils and small tools, as well. So the Patagonia pants have a cumbersome flap over the phone pocket, and especially with the phone in the pocket (or anything else) it hangs up on the side of my knee in a weird way. My wife and I were in Texas, at her tribe's ancestral grounds. We were enjoying a nice, rainy afternoon watching Dances, and walking the grounds. To make a long story short, while we were sitting in awe of the traditional Grass House which sat on the property, an EF3 tornado landed on us without warning. My wife and I were caught in the middle of 165mph winds, outside, unprotected. We sustained several injuries, but that day I happened to be wearing a pair of these Iron Forge Hemp pants. From the waist upwards my body was COVERED in what we started referring to as "tornado rash," basically road rash from tiny, wind born debris. Now I'm not suggesting anyone go get in the way of a tornado in some Iron Forge Hemp clothes and expect to be okay, but this is a testimony to how incredibly durable these are.

I work as a roofing supervisor so these pants take plenty of abuse. They fit great, feel great and are tough. I also own a pair of the shorts. Love the long pockets; for warranty jobs I’ll just stash my tools in the pockets, so much room.

Great quality workmanship and material and waist and length are perfect, however way too much material in seat and legs - they look like clown pants. You could fit two of my legs into these legs
I Love these pants I have several pairs of the shorts I wear them everyday they are very well constructed and the cargo pockets are perfect size I hope Patagonia never stops making this Work wear Line
I've had them for 10 months and they are no more worn than the day I got them. Although, the material is thick and durable, it is very soft and not at all stiff. The only issue is that they run a little small. I ordered my normal size and they were just a little tight in the waist. I exchanged them for one size larger and they fit great.
Worked outside on my new extension ...felt great...comfortable range of movement. I liked the pocket area which allowed my to put my tape nicely into place.
I have two pairs of the iron forge pants and have used them for construction and yard work. Last weekend I had some cleanup to do on a concrete deck and spent a fair amount of time on my knees. The inside surface of the cargo pants is so rough it took a layer of skin off my right knee. I got a serious road rash from the rubbing of the fabric agains... Read Moret my skin. I love the pants other wise. Don’t buy these pants in you have to floor tiling or any other activity on your knees.
The fit issues I reviewed on the double knee pant only seem to be exacerbated on this pant. I'm a skier and a runner - so fairly lean but with skier quads. The fit from waist to crotch is totally off and too short, but I do have enough room around the quad area. The diamond crotch has a bunchy feeling and is not comfortable. Fabric seems durabl... Read Moree, but when wet I cant say that it dries very quickly (not that I'm surprised) I typically wear 30x31 or 30x32 for work pants and 30x30 for climbing pants. These are 30x32. Waist is more snug on these compared to the regular double so there appears to be inconsistency in the wasit size similar to carhartt inconsistency .
I've been wearing these pants for several months now. I wear them while woodworking, welding, and while doing farm chores. The fabric is super tough, yet comfortable from the get-go - there's no need to wash 'em fifty times to soften them up.
My only beef is that I wish they had a tad more room in the seat for a given waist size. (Not ... Read Moreever Patagonia customer has a BMI of 18.) A small pocket, just large enough to hold a multi-tool,would be a welcome addition, too.
I had several worries about these pants before I bought them. Was the material stiff? Were there enough pockets and how useful are they (I'm a "pockets" guy so this is important to me)? Were the cargo pockets secure? I actually called Patagonia to ask if they were button or velcro closure and they said "neither". There is n... Read Moreo closure mechanism; the flaps hang free.
In spite of this,I bought the pants and I'm very happy I did. They are lighter weight than many work pants I have and roomier. I can see wearing these well into summer,if required. They have the right amount of "hang" off the hips and are very comfortable. The legs are loose but not too relaxed and are comfortable standing, bending,or sitting.
The front and back pockets are deep and full and hold everything necessary very well. There is no cell phone pocket but I find the cargo pockets work for that. They are well constructed; a little tighter at the top to keep whatever you are carrying from popping out. The flaps hang free but are thick enough to stay down and not fold up at the corners. I've had no problems there.
They are good for a casual work environment as well as tearing about town or hiking in the woods. The material isn't heavy enough to protect you through scrub or brush but it's good for casual use.
I've only worn them in the Fall and Winter but they hold up well against the freezing winds we have had here in Oklahoma. Highly recommended! I'll be buying another pair.
I live in my work pants, literally, and have found the roominess, comfort and all around utility of these pants pretty refreshing. They fit well underneath chainsaw chaps with items in the cargo pockets, this was a big requirement for me and the rear pockets can hold a variety of different sized wedges with ease.

These pants also stuff well into the high boots that I use on boats or in wet coastal areas.
The ink black color even cleans up fairly well for a night out.
As far as functionality of the pants I can't see any improvements but a forestry green color would be pretty dope.
These pants are awesome. The fit is perfect. I am 5'10" and 178 pounds and the regular size 34 fits great. Wore these to a college football game in Montana.....kept legs very warm. Nice looking pants.
These pants are super rugged !
The pants are perfect super nice feel and great range of movement
I was a little worried at first with the relaxed fit being to baggy but the fit is just perfect in the thighs and leg.The only complaint i have is there a little tight in the waist.I went up one size in the waist it was perfect !

Way to go
Love these pants! The fit is true to size on the waist, and legs are definitely on the looser side (which is perfect for moving around). I live in Hawaii,so I was a little afraid they would be too hot,but not at all! They feel very durable, and I've been using them for about two months doing construction and landscaping work without a problem!
