New favorite pants!
These are my new favorite pants! They go with everything! I am even contemplating getting another pair in black. The are super versatile and comfortable. Insufficient Pocket Space
These pants would be great, but they don't have one pocket large enough for a cell phone. I bought these to walk dogs, which I do in all kinds of weather in hilly, wooded terrain. I am very satisfied with the pants. However, I do not find care instructions on the pants or on the site.
Hi Sara! Thank you so much for leaving this review. When it comes to washing your Quandary Pants, you will want to machine wash warm and tumble dry on low-to-no heat. This was my first pair of Patagonia apparel. I was thrilled to see you offered clothing in plus sizes however when I received them and tried them on they were small for the size and short in the cut. This is my third pair
This is my third pair of quandary pants Fire years ago the pants had a slightly larger zipped pocket that fits my phone The newer models dont for the same phone The newest 2022 model is a slightly different material but is still light , comfortable, and durable. Nice looking, practical
These pants are not as soft as the older version and the zipper is not as durable, however the pants look nice and are comfortable enough to sit on a plane for many hours. In addition the front pockets and especially the side pocket should be a bit deeper with the side pocket deeper with a bit more width. That would allow easier access to the side pocket. The front pockets are adequate, but with a larger fob (car) or more than 1 or 2 keys, your keys could fall out or be bulky and irritate your leg as you hike/walk. Overall they are a nice lightweight pant. FYI the size 2 was too large on me thus a larger size would not take care of the seam issue I have.

Longer inseam for the tall ladies, please!
These would be wonderful if they werent high waters on me. Why are womens tall inseam hiking pants so difficult to find? Especially for the hiking pants that look cool and chic enough to wear to a nice dinner or travel with. Prana Halle is the best Ive found, but with their extremely low rise, Im desperate to find a better option.

Sizing is Weird
Hi Im 55 and 135 lb. I usually wear an 8. In pants. These were very big on me. I returned them and ordered 3 pairs of 6s. One fit well and 2 were too tight to button. Loved the fabric and the pant but they have to get the fit consistent.

Best Pants I Have
This is my second pair because I wear them so often. Very comfortable with just the right amount of roominess so there's no binding, but fit is flattering. Elastic inner drawstring cord is great - gently holds pants at a comfortable waist fit, whether on an empty stomach or after a huge meal. Washes well over and over.
Flattering, comfortable and utilitarian, all-in-one perfect hiking pants.
I would have given these hiking pants a 5 star review if the side leg zip pocket was just a tad deeper so my iPhone fit in there with the pocket zipped. My All-Time Favorite Hiking Pants
The Quandary Pants are my ALL TIME FAVORITE HIKING PANTS. I have them in every color - and if they had more color options, I'd buy them. The fabric does repel water, which makes them a nice option if precipitation is in the forecast. They have belt loops, which Ive never used, but its a nice feature. The fabric is also virtually indestructible - Ive hiked through brush, thorns, etc. - no pulls or tears in the fabric. This is my first Patagonia purchase but it won’t be the last. I loved these pants so much, I’ve already ordered a 2nd pair in gray. I normally wear a size 2, but had to order a size 4 in these pants. They fit perfectly. I’m 55 years old, 5’6 and 130lbs. The length is perfect too. These are perfect for outdoor activities yet nice enough for me to we... I'm so grateful Patagonia is now making some of their women's clothes available in larger sizes. While more companies seem to be making plus-sized outdoor clothes, the options are still pretty slim. Pants have too small pockets, very very frustrating,it seams that most of the popular brand have the same design, made for small fairy woman hands, can’t feet anything, my iPhone want feet and you cannot close the zipper, not safe if you are in city’s with pickpockets people ! I was so happy to find Patagonia offering women's pants in what amounts to plus sizes that I bought a pair to reward them and let them know we non-mini-people need hiking clothes, too. Big mistake. The zipper pocket isn't deep enough for a standard iPhone -- whose idea was that? Fabric is heavy for summer. Too late to return these, I've worn them, but I won't recommend them.

Quandary pants for women
These pants were great in 2017 the new style is awful. They rub your legs. The double seam makes it in comfortable to wear. Please change them back I want to buy more they were so comfortable before.
We're sorry you're disappointed with the new style. Please feel free to [return](https://www.patagonia.com/returns.html) them back to us and let us know if you have any questions.
Go-to hiking pants
Perfect stretch and weight. I'm 6'0" 155 lbs and the waist is perfect, the length is short on me, but I expected as much and don't really care since I wear tall hiking boots anyway. I like that these are light enough to wear under my motorcycle pants, so I can ride to hike safely without changing. I agree with another commenter ... Perfect for the Rainforest in Costa Rica
Love love love these pants. The material is very lightweight, sheds water beautifully, and was perfect for hiking the rainforests in Costa Rica. Long pants were necessary to keep insect bites at bay, but I wanted to be comfortable in the hot and humid conditions. These did the trick.
Stretchy, Lightweight Pants
Have purchased two pair of Patagonia Quandry pants this season. I’m 5’6”, about 116 pounds with a slender build. The size 2 fit perfectly. I machine was them on cold and let them air dry. Have worn them traveling and hiking. Find myself reaching for them now as summer evenings in the Rockies are cooling off. I’ve enjoyed nylon pants for years now. ... Read MoreThese are good ones.
Hiking pants for every day
I love these pants. Bought a pair years ago at a ski resort. They fit perfectly and were attractive, slimming and downright practical with pockets. Material feels light and extremely comfortable. I bought another pair, same design, Quandary, same size. They are a bit larger so there’s an inconsistency there. But I still love the pants. I bought the... Women's Quandary Pants
I received good service, very pleasant customer contact and quick delivery of product. Quality of pants is great and the size is spot on. Wish items were little less expensive as the price makes it prohibitive to own too many things at one time. I realize there is an excellent return policy, follow up care and damage replacement warranty, so I figu... Read Morere that counts for something.
Comfortable with just enough stretch!
I love my Quandry "hiking" pants! They are nice enough for me to wear to work with dressier shoe's and tops or on the trails with hiking boots. Very versatile. Comfortable with just enough stretch for movement climbing rocks. I have two pairs in dark grey and olive green.
"Clean lines" comfortable
I bought these recently in a size 12 along with a pair of RPS Rock pants in the same size (I was looking for blue pants). I love the simple styling on the Quandry. Wow, patagonia pants fit me!! SHOCKER.
I don't have the normal woman's cut. I do better in men's pants. My waist is similar in size to my hips, straight up and down with a little belly, and flat butt. Normally in the past I would have to order a 14 to get the waist to fit but then the hips and legs would billow out, so I never found patagonia pants to work for me. Yet, th... Read Moreese work so well! The waist does stretch as other reviewers mentioned. So I gambled and ordered a 12, (about 18" across) way too big, everywhere including the waist. So I returned for a 10, (about 17" across) spot on. I thought the waist would be tight but for me they were perfect, even comfortably loose and probably need a belt or use the tie. They are cut slim in the hips and work well for a flat behind. I bought all three. love the cut, the length, runs a tad long for a 32, but I do better with a 33, so these were perfect. The lightweight stretch fabric, (including the waist that stretches a bit too) makes them feel very comfortable and will be great in warmer weather. I bet I could of fit in an 8 but I don't like my pants tight. Normal figures will definitely want to size down. Make more colors for us misfit shapes please.
Great pants, Please make in a smaller size!!
I have had these pants for several years and have worn them back-packing for weeks at a time in all climates (heat, light rain, cold) and also for daily work. These are great! I'm 5'1 and an athletic 140lbs and have a hard time finding pants that are the right length, but these rock! I got a size 4 short and they fit great. Great at first, but stretch out
These pants felt great when I first tried them on. Noticed they ran a bit larger and I got a size smaller than I usually do. Wore them on a 3 day hiking trip and at first they were great. Read Moreried to use the drawstring but it's also really stretchy so it didn't help. I can't really use any of the pockets in these pants since the extra weight makes them fall down even more.
