Patagonia Women's All Seasons Hemp Canvas Bib Overalls - Regular

Great material, disappointing fit - please update the straps!

I really loved the breathable yet durable feel of these overalls, but sadly the fit really didn't work for me and I had to return them. The straps with only two length options really is too limited for the wide variety of bodies that could be wearing these overalls. I had the straps on the tightest setting, and the top hardly came up to the mi... Read Moreddle of my breasts; not the protection I was wanting. The placement of the two hip buttons gaps and exposed my bare hip when bending over, and also made the whole fit baggy. I wanted to use these for gardening and painting, but I didn't feel secure enough that the overalls wouldn't get in the way. I had been eyeing these overalls for over a year when I bought them, and I was so disappointed when they didn't work out for me.

Very Comfortable

I'm a small male person - but the fit of women's overalls has worked for me in the past, and these were pretty great. The length is good, the fit is good, the hemp canvas is soft, but tough feeling. If I'd change anything, I'd add the stretchy straps from the men's overalls to these, but the current ones are fine.

July 16, 2021

I'm 5'4" tall, not 5'6". There's a big difference.

I will have to return these for the petite size; they are simply too long. I'm 5'4" tall, but have a short rise. While I worry the petites will be too short, these are for someone at least three or more inches taller than I am.

So comfortable

My overalls fit great, move well for bending and stretching and have awesome deep pockets for all my gardening tools. I absolutely love them!!!

July 2, 2021

One of every color

I order both the Medium & Large unsure what would fit best. I went with the large out of fear that if the Medium were to shrink the slightest they'd be too small. I am hopeful the large shrinks a little. Very comfortable, not heavy, can wear practically anywhere.

June 15, 2021

Straps fixed length

I loved the look and fit of these overalls except for one thing. The straps have only one length possible. They button and are not adjustable. I needed them to be shorter.

June 9, 2021

Super comfy, a little skinny/long

I initially ordered a small - 56.5, 135lbs. It was too tight across the hips/butt. Exchanged for a medium and they fit great, although both pairs were about one hem length too long. The plume grey is beautiful and the fabric is very comfortable. I would definitely buy again.

So great, just a few issue

I love this fabric! Somehow comfortable and durable. I had to size up to accommodate my butt/ thighs, but still ended up with super short pants- squatting down the cuffs were halfway up my calves! I unstitched the hem and extended as far as possible, which is almost far enough. I would love a zipper on the front pocket! I often end up putting my ph... Almost Great

These are soft, flattering, and the fatigue green color is way nicer than I expected. Also, bathroom breaks in between chores are going to be a pain with the buttons. I hope Patagonia releases an improved design by the time I wear these out.

May 25, 2021

Some flaws, but Im a fan.

I got these in the fatigue green color and I love them. Theyre tough, and pretty comfortable for working in the garden all day. A major downside is the side buttons, which allows for a bit too big of a gap for things to fly in, and my hip and sometimes my underwear is exposed. If the button placements were better, these would be 5 stars.

Design Needs Work

Fabric is sturdy but thats about it on the positive front. The straps arent adjustable, and at 56 135 lbs the medium feels short on the torso for me and the legs long. It could use a little more room in the crotch length and cushion in the knees for gardening and farming work. None of the pockets have zippers, snaps or Velcro so everything falls ou... Tough work gear

I now own 3 pairs of these overalls. They are soft and comfortable protect my knees when kneeling to farm and now to build. I am an older woman and find I need a larger size to fit my changing shape. Super cute and functional

Got these for my wife and she loves them! She's slight of frame and super athletic and these overalls fit her perfectly. The color is great, material super durable and supple at the same time. She loves them so much we'll be ordering another pair in an alternate color!

Durable and hella cute

Love being able to wear it around the house for mom activities, clay work and even going out in. They make me feel like I can stuff all the pockets and be ready for anything.

May 6, 2021

Cute, comfortable, practical

Love these. I wear them all the time now. I love the blue grey color, it makes them a little bit less farm-y so you can wear them casually around and feel cute, but also wear them in the garden. Pretty perfect

These overalls are super comfortable and easy to wear. The only down side I have experienced is an occasional bee in the pants. The buttons on the sides cause the material to pop out a bit, and I work with honey bees. There is just a big enough opening for a bee to slip in every now and then. Otherwise they are great!

May 2, 2021

Great but could be better

Love these! But two things I would change the hip button area near the pocket opens up perfectly like a pocket and I am constantly dropping my phone in there (and it slides down my leg). Also, a better/faster snap closure for straps would be appreciated

a game changer for gardening!

I used to use old "no longer good enough to wear to work" jeans for gardening. Downsides: the gaping gap at the back whenever you squat or bend down and your top rides up - gets really cold in spring/fall, and then of course you get the most uncomfortable sunburned strip just below your waist. And jeans wear hot in the summer. I decided t... Read Moreo give something else a try, and these bibs are absolutely amazing. They are a little roomy on me, but that's added bonus since I was able to wear them over a pair of regular pants/tights and a sweatshirt when it was still cold. The buttons on the straps are not too much of a hassle, and since the fit is roomy I usually only undo one of the straps and slide the other one over my shoulder for bathroom breaks. But as someone mentioned, something that doesn't require threading the strap through a slot every single time would be nice, since eh, zipper opening doesn't do any good for us ladies and you have to fiddle with the straps every time. I got them in pumice color (added bonus of a sale), and yes, they get dirty, but I'm looking forward to staying cooler in the hot summer with the lighter color. Patagonia - I imagine there would be more folks in the hotter climes appreciating the lighter color, despite the need for more frequent washes, do not discontinue that! The fabric washes great, feels heavy duty and durable, yet is soft after wash/dry cycle. They are fantastic!

April 15, 2021

Nice bibs

Good fit, fabric is breathable on a hot day

April 14, 2021

Very practical and cute

Being that I am 5'0", I was unable to get my hands on the petite at the time, however I did adjust the leg length to my height and it turned out amazing! I love how practical it is for my work too!

April 3, 2021

Super Comfy + Cute

These bibs are adorable + comfortable for work. As a wheel builder, the pockets are nice for tools, material is great and cleans up nicely. I have these bibs in 2 colors. Fit how youd expect I think, love them.

Quite cute and very comfortable

Coveralls are adorable , Im 5 feet two had them hemmed and straps shortened but very happy with them ,

Perfect for outdoor work

As other reviewers said, these run long, which is perfect for me. I'm wearing them in the garden and beekeeping, and they're so great. Good pocket space, great fit. I love them!

Why the sex bias?

I love the fit and feel of these. I had to order the both sizes S and M based on the size chart and reviews. Glad I got the Small because it fits me just right. BUT: I am a contractor and want to use these for work. Getting in and out of them as a woman every time I need to use the bathroom would be a lot easier if they had the traditional wire/but... Read Moreton fasteners on the straps. Why are those only on your mens' overalls (that also have a zipped fly to conveniently address mens' bladder needs)?! Adjusting the fit would also be better with the adjustable straps allowed by that type of closure on the men's version. The women's style only allows two fixed points of strap length adjustment. I even ordered a mens size 28 (smallest size made) hoping that they would work. But they were too long in the torso even when adjusted with the shortest straps. (Note: the problem with wearing overalls that are too long in the torso is that the crotch rubs the inner thighs in a very uncomfortable way.) I also didn't like or need the elastic straps on the men's style. Ordering the men's style allowed me to also see just how sexist the designers are at Patagonia. Do they think woman buying these don't work just as hard as men do, or more specifically, don't use hammers? The mens' version has fabric that is twice as thick, and a zippered pocket on the bib, as well as a tool loop on the leg. I don't need the zippered fly, but all of those other features would certainly help me do my job with the same level of convenience that is available in the men's overalls. One good thing that the Patagonia designers did add to the women's version is a pocket on the lower leg that allows you to carry a phone without it falling out every time you bend over.

Comfy but the straps are weird

These are great. The material is so soft and I love the pumice color. Knee is reinforced and I plan on wearing them all summer. Unfortunately Im short and have to alter them a bit. Great quality, didn't fit me properly

The quality of the overalls seemed great, and I really liked the color as well. However, the medium was just too small/short. I am 5'10, ~145-150 lbs and the middle section really "rode up" and I couldn't bend over/squat comfortably. The fabric doesn't have any give (including in the straps) and so, I am hoping that a L wil... Read Morel fit me better.

Pay attention to sizing.

I would have been better off with the short rather than regular size (although it's not hard to roll the cuffs) and potentially an xs instead. I love these overalls!!! So comfortable.

March 19, 2021

Comfy, Cozy, Cute & Functional

I love the look of these bibs and had been coveting them for some time before I finally purchased them. I now own them in 3 colors. Dialing in the correct size was a bit of a process. I first got the Med short as the inseam sounded right. When they arrived they were too short in the torso for me and a hair too short in the length, I have a long tor... Read Moreso. I then ordered another pair in the Med regular and realized that not only was the inseam longer, but the torso was longer, these fit better, almost perfectly, but I wished the torso was a tiny bit longer. The last pair I ordered was in a Med long and although the leg length has to be rolled or eventually hemmed, the torso finally felt perfect for me. Although a traditional adjusting slide strap would eliminate some of this trial and error, I do love how the button straps look. the fabric is soft and cozy and has kept me warm in the winter, I've yet to wear them during warmer seasons. The one area where the fit is a bit strange is the front groin/lower tummy area, on me there is a bit of excess fabric which looks a little poochy, but this is likely due to my sadly flat behind. Anyhow, they've become a staple of my covid uniform and I give them a thumbs up.

March 2, 2021

Good idea, fit is interesting

Everywhere fits great, length, size in the waist is all normal. The straps sit very strangely. This bib/top half of the overalls sit kind of strange. I'd like to be able to adjust the straps up one more hole, the bib sits a little low and kind of looks frumpy. Other than that I love them! I'm probably just going to add another hole myself... Just fine

I was excited about these overalls but honestly they're just okay. The material is comfortable when I'm walking around but feels scratchy when I'm sitting. Made for fashion not for work

I bought these overalls to use while I do landscaping work. It would be nice to be able to bend over without worrying about my pants slipping down. However even though the description on these indicates that they run large they do not. There was no room for my hips even though I bought my pants size, and so the front was uncomfortably stretched. Love these

They are so soft. I want jeans that feel like these. Im a guy, but I love overalls. Im from KY, go figure. As a guy, itd be a bit nicer if more crotch room and a zipper, but the material makes up for it. Im gonna make these my paint clothes, but wow they are super nice.

Plan on using in the garden

I love the pants and hate the thought of permanently staining them with garden dirt but oh well. my only complaint about them is that the straps are not adjustable. They fit perfectly but if they shrink then the straps will be too short.

February 25, 2021

Nice product but VERY long

These are excellent overalls particularly for spring-summer-fall as the fabric is fairly lightweight. They seem well made. I have just two beefs. So comfortable

These are very comfortable and cute. I wear them around the house while I work from home but will definitely take them outdoors once the snow melts. I should have gotten petite but no inventory. I might eventually hem them but for now cuffing the leg is fine.

Better fit than other women's overalls

I loved the fit of these way better than other women's overalls, including Duluth Trading. The material is super comfy. I first purchased these overalls as a Christmas gift for my daughters...and they loved them so much I bought myself a pair. I was not disappointed! February 23, 2021

Great ... except suspenders are NOT "adjustable"

Good stuff: nice hand/feel to fabric, fit is great (I'm long-legged and short-waisted), double-fabric knees useful. The two lone suspender buttons are a total fail. "Adjustable" is a misnomer. You have two fixed suspender length options. Not. Useful. Definitely not adjustable. Annoying. Disappointing.

Nice product but really long

Light, Well-Made, Comfy

Like everything Patagonia, the overalls are well made, and built to last and/or easily mendable. As work overalls should be, they are roomy, so you have space to layer underneath. It took me a while to get ones that fit right (and weirdly, I ended up with the same size I originally ordered but it had a drastically different fit, so one of them is a fluke), but now that I have them, they are wonderful!! Very comfortable and seem like they will last for a long time.

They only get longer, if Patagonia makes these again they need to put in the slider adjuster the Women's Stand Up Overalls have. Why they didn't put that on these is BEYOND me. Comfortable but unadjustable straps

Enjoy the fabric, weight, feel, color and comfort. Large back pockets and tool pockets on the leg. Do not like the straps. It seemed like according to the sizing charts I might be right on the cusp between an XS and S- I ended up ordering the XS and they work great. However, if I were just a teensy bit taller or had hips a teensy bit wider, I think I'd be hopping up to a S. Length is perfect on me. A little stiff but after several washes they seem to have softened up. I wouldn’t recommend them to others unless you have a classic perfect body. However, I want to encourage hemp clothing to use as a purposeful sustainable clothing product. As with all Patagonia clothing, on the expensive side for a pair of bibs that had to be altered to fit. I’m 5’8” and about 125lbs - the small, while they do fit, didn’t pass my squat/crouch test so I didn’t think they’d be very workable. Also, I purchased the regular and the length is good, without shoes on the hem grazes the floor. Pockets: I do like the surplus of pockets, I love me some pockets. However, the breast pockets definitely needs some sort of closure. When I work in coveralls, if I don’t zip the breast pockets my belongings go pouring out. To fit with the current look, a single button would work for the most part, although a zipper is the most handy. I do think though, that if a closure is added, the pocket should still be large enough to hold a typical phone. I also think that having one a closure on one of the back pockets would be useful. Also, maybe throw in a tool loop for fun. (And Patagonia please make full coveralls in this collection thanks.) Straps: I noticed when reading reviews before purchasing that some people don’t like the strap clasps, but I really like it. I love the hardware, and you don’t get that obnoxious clinking. Miscellaneous I guess: I’m not a fan of the thick seam at the waist. I understand though that it’s probably necessary to join the bottom half to the top, and for the pockets, but it feels a bit bulky. I would prefer for that seem to be nonexistent for less apparent, along with the fake fly. I’d rather have a real fly - the overalls could easily be unisex, so a useable fly would be handy (for using a GoGirl for example). Overall, (haha), I think they are a great piece, and I’ve love to see some coveralls added to this collection.

I can't recommend these overalls enough. The fabric is soft and comfortable, yet durable. I ordered a medium- I'm 5'7 , 145 lbs, pretty athletic build and they fit really well. The pockets are pretty deep as well, which can be a problem with some women's pants, so that was also a huge plus.

Being a long torso lady, I was afraid at first, but was happy to see when they arrived no fear needed. I purchased these for wood cutting. I did size up to a Large (my normal Patagonia sizing is Medium), mainly to accommodate layers underneath.

I work on a farm and I recreate often. I really like the light weight feel of them especially when compared to my carhartt overalls. I love that I can full stretch. Whereas my carhartt overalls make it easy when I place my phone in the front pocket it doesn't fall out because I can close it. These overalls are fine for gardeners but for people who work doing all sorts of jobs on a farm from building fences, to welding, to hauling hay to mucking stalls and many other things I just wish these were more functional. Too big for petite women

I'm a petite women - 5'2" and 110 lbs, small bust, small hips. I tried on the short XS and they were excessively large. It says on the size chart that a XS is ... Read Morea 25/26 waist, which I am, and these absolutely did not fit around the waist. No part of the overalls fit. I was hoping these would be the first work pants/overalls on the market that fit petite women but unfortunately not. Almost Perfect

I'd recommend these only cause they are awesome overalls.. but the fit truly deserves some engineering.. they kind of hang on you. they are definitely the right size, Medium for me.. 138. lbs.. although they pull in the crotch when I am sitting & therefore pull on the buttons at the top.. & feeling constricting and also too baggy at ... It's just a strange fit over all.. too tight in some areas, too baggy in others.. I would think I could wear a smaller size if it weren't for the tension in the seat and on the straps... otherwise I would leave the most exemplary review possible, for they are wonderful garment.. now that the riveted/grommet button has come off, logically due to the tension on them, I certainly not aware how to replace this button..

Almost Perfect

I'm 5'3 and about 115 lbs so I ordered an XS. The over-all fit is pretty perfect so I have chosen not to dry them because I don't want them to shrink. I thought maybe I should have ordered a small because of that issue ( but I like my clothing to be fitted instead of loose though) the fit is perfect once I sewed that gap shut. I GET SO MANY COMPLIMENTS ON THESE!!!! Which is great. People always say "Are those Carhartts? Those are so cute" and it feels good to say they are Patagonia and made out of hemp. I read all the reviews and it seems like one of the biggest complaints are the straps and how you have to thread them through the hardware and button them. This doesn't really bother me, but I could see how that would annoying to other people, and how there are only two options for the strap adjustments. Luckily the second button is the perfect length for my build, but I could see how others want more options. It would also be nice to have snaps on the front bib pocket- my phone and things are constantly falling out when I bend over. These bibs feel soft, light (but not too light) and comfortable. Not sure if I will buy another pair, but for now, I really love these, even though I have to make some alterations on them.

Read More, and went with a medium (typically size 8 pants, but size 6 in the patagonia workwear pants). I didn't have any issues with the straps fitting over my long torso, and the button design on the straps really doesn't bother me. After wearing these in the field for work for a couple months, my biggest issue with the design is that there seems to be an excess of fabric around the hips/groin/butt area. When I sit down, it bunches up and makes it look I have some bulk down there. The openings between the buttons on the hips also flare open and sometimes reveal what's underneath. Like I said, I have normal hips and some volume in the butt, so in theory, I should be filling out that part of the overalls. A slightly more tapered waist would likely solve this problem! I recommend trying on in store if you have a chance, and if you're between sizes, size down!

Awesome! Finally!...Please make bibs for men!!!

Admitting that we didn't buy this (yet). But the store staff told us to comment when I asked why ya'll dont make bibs for men. They said you'd listen to my plea via the comments lol. Anyways girlfriend tried these out at the Patagonia store at Ward. (They're always friendly and helpful and recognized us even though we've o... Read Morenly been there three times). She said they fit her good. She said she's not the laborer so she doesn't need bibs. The material is great, soft and broken in already. Love the idea of hemp. Like back to the future. I can imagine that it is light enough for the hot humid tropical weather in Hawai'i. Definitely all seasons here and durable. Please please make a forge grey men's bib!!! Something similar to the Carhart R37 zip to thigh bib for ventilated, lighter weight durable workwear in hot humid tropical weather. Can't deal with wearing a tourniquet-like belt and a saggy soaking shirt while I work anymore. We've been waiting patiently!!! We're loyal customers and decided that Patagonia Workwear would offer us (and the environment) more than Carhart ever could. So please please make a bib to beat their bibs!!! We'd be forever grateful. Also sorry if i sound like a fanatic! Just been dreaming about the perfect bibs for way too long now lol.
