My favorite overalls
I’m a professional gardener, up and down, crawling around, lifting and reaching all day. What I love-I can pull the straps up enough so they fit my short body. They are stretchy so getting up and down is comfortable. The fabric breathes, wears and washes well. What I’d improve-more pockets and a zipper on the bib pocket. A snap isn’t secure enou... Soft and sturdy
Made from my favorite Patagonia fabric and generously cut, these overalls are going to be my all season go-to. I can wear a variety of tops underneath (I am endowed with the smallest of bosoms so there is no vying for space) and hope to even keep these clean enough for work. A pair purchased two years ago gets weekly wear in the garden and outdoor ... Read Moreproject, holding up and only getting softer with age.
Perfect (and only?) light work overalls for shorties!
Love these, perfect nonrestrictive fit, durable material and construction, plus they look cute. I wear these for heavy indoor work (anything involving sledgehammer power saws etc) and light outdoor work (gardening). Allows full range of motion, and good protection against splinters and thorns. The only problem is, the short length sells out too fas... Read Moret! I've been wanting a black pair forever...
Fake gusset propaganda!
I ordered these with my sis who has complained for years that the Patagonia work overalls would be perfect if they only had a gusseted crotch. We were so excited when the product description was updated to include a gusset (and the strap and pocket redesign) and rushed to buy two pairs but when they arrived there was a devastating lack of gusset - ... I really love these coveralls for our forest class, farming days and botany classes. The double ply knees are amazing, I stay dry even on rainy PNW days. They are very comfortable, Im pretty tall and I feel they are a bit tight in the groin region. I got a long and the length is perfect. Overall I will buy more and I love the hemp blend!
Great quality, less great fit
Giving these 4 stars because they are great quality and super comfortable. They don't fit my legs super well... I am 5'4 160lbs with an athletic build and big thighs. These are noticeably tight on the thighs and super baggy in the torso. I still wear them often and love them! But the proportions just aren't perfect for me. I'd d... Comfy All-Purpose Overalls
These overalls exceeded all expectations! They're sturdy, comfortable, warm, and durable. I find myself pulling them out every weekend regardless of what we have planned. I haven't put them to the test with more extreme use yet, but they're comfortable for a day at home, chores, errands, time outside, hikes, and more. With a base lay... Read Moreer underneath, they're particularly warm for snowy/windy days. I went with size Small Reg at 5'7" and 135lbs. My recommended size was M, but I went with S knowing that I have to size down for Patagonia's ski pants. Fit was perfect. Comfortably loose, but tight enough to be flattering and not look like I'm wearing my husband's clothes. If you're especially long in the torso or much taller, consider getting Tall; I have the straps fully let out to fit my torso. Length in the leg was perfect for wear with boots, or they cuff nicely for sandals.
Most awesome fabric ever
I love the Patagonia work wear hemp fabric. Its amazingly tough and super comfortable. The sizing guide said that medium should fit a 10-12. Im generally a 10 in Patagonia clothes but overalls should be a smidge roomy in the waist area, I think, and these are not. Im keeping them anyway because otherwise theyre great. The redesign on the straps fro... Read Morem version 1 of these pants solves the adjustability problem. If you bought these before and returned them because the straps didnt fit then try them again.
Much improved fit
The latest version of these overalls fits my body (pear shape) much better than the previous version. Well thought out construction and I prefer the fully adjustable straps to the buttons. In my experience, the All Seasons pants and overalls are the only ones that fit well for those of us with a higher waist to hip ratio (e.g., my hips are 11"... Love them but..
I ordered the XS in regular length. I am 5'4" and around 115 with a long torso. They fit perfectly except the length is put of control. They're not just a little long. They're very long and the patch at the knees is low. If you happen to think you don't have long legs DEFINITELY go with the short. I bought them on sale and ... Great Fit and Function!
I love the fit and features of these overalls! I have the prior style, which fit differently. Great slim for a relaxed look
These hug my figure in all the right places, yet they are super comfy and relaxed. Beautiful blue color and great material. Why not make these in different lengths? The suspenders are also ridiculously short, I am 5.10 and have a shorter torso and I am on the last 1/4 inch on the suspenders and that just seems silly. I'll be wearing these folded for the relaxed 3/4 length look but I wish I would have the full-length option too.
Serving their purpose!
I got these for casual wear as well as for work at my retail job. These overalls are great for both because they are comfortable yet durable. Amazing - But too short
I'm 5.10 and 150lbs, muscular build without a lot of curves. I have the long version in green in size small and love these overalls so thought I'd try the regular in blue. The first pair was crooked and the bib kept creeping to one side, so I ordered a second pair and they were very tight (like an XS). They are too short for me and I wish... Read More they came in long, but I could get away with folding them and going for an ankle-length type of look, but the fit has been all over the place. I also wish the suspenders were longer, I'm on the very last inch and I have a short torso. As usual, Patagonia is extremely limited for us tall girls with long legs and arms which greatly limits the types of items we can buy. I do like that they hug the body and the Small fit snugly in all the right places without being restricting. Now writing this review, I may order two pairs and see if the third time is the charm. The fabric and the color is great.
My wardrobe staple
As a resident of a mountainous desert region I need warm clothes for the winter. I love overalls and owned several vintage pair before purchasing my first pair of these. I wear them for work (I own a small boutique motel near a National Park so I need to look nice but I also have to cover many tasks), for camping and hiking, for chores like cutting firewood or currying ponies, and I can even dress them up with a cute western overshirt and some heeled boots for dancing at the local saloon. I cant even count how many compliments Ive received about them or how many times Ive recommended them to others. Im ordering a pair today in the green and will be stoked to have a 4th pair (a little worried about the switch from button strap closure to more conventional buckles but not enough to keep from purchasing). One footnote-I never put them in the dryer-just hang them up to air dry so the fit and color has stayed fast.
Pig Farmer Approved
These overalls have put in the work. I work them hard for two years while regenerative farming and these are amazing. They are lightweight which I loved. I wear an 8 or 10 depending on the brand. Since the size chart says the M is for sizes 10-12, so I figured they would be a little roomy. Instead they were very snug. Thank you for this feedback, Amanda. These overalls are cut for a "regular" fit, while the Iron Forge Overalls are cut for a "relaxed" fit, so the Iron Forge pair will fit more loosely. Cute and Lightweight, but not for hard work
I love the canvas hemp. I love Patagonia workwear for their style. It's fun to have workwear also be super cute - which these overalls are. They are lightweight and great for hot summer days. Great for Landscaping
I am a landscaper and these are great! I wear them everyday. There are pockets for my soil knife and my pruners and my phone. Last year I bought 2 pairs of these as well. A little short in body
I love overalls. I bought these in small and adored them EXCEPT the bib was a bit too short. I needed another 2 inches in the straps to make me want to wear them all the time. Great work overalls.
I am a stone mason and have had 5 pairs. They are comfortable, work well, and have great features including the knee pad pockets. Great lightweight work pants
I have the Iron Forge overalls in the same size. I can say these run quite a bit smaller. I have also found leg opening at the bottom is a bit too big for stuffing into some boots, would prefer a straighter / more narrow cut there. Love the button straps. These are lightweight and very comfortable.
Very comfy for landscaping
I bought these overalls for work as a landscaper. They were more comfortable than I thought they would be and the fabric was super soft .
