Toddlers have big heads. Jackets dont.
My grandson is two years and three months old. I bought a 3T baby hi loft sweater hoodie which will fit great around December when he visits Grandma in NYC. Yall...when it comes to warm weather gear, I dont f%#! around! I hate mediocre winter gear, and I hate being cold. So do my kids. So I go forward the best I can get. best winter jacket for kids. Please bring back french red!
This is the best winter jacket for kids. Please bring back the french red color. Our 2T hi-loft hoody in french red was stolen and I've been trying to find one ever since with no success. It was the best color! I would buy it in so many sizes in that color. It was a head turner. Beautiful. And made it easier to see kids on dark winter evenings... Read More!

Attempting to slide across the ground face first to extend his ride down the slide, my grandson tore a right angle 1" X 1" rip in his jacket. LOVE IT, BUT IT IS NOT AT ALL WATERPROOF
LOVE this pink color, how cozy and warm this jacket it, but first time out in the snow and my toddler was soaked through to the inside. Hello Katherine, we're sorry to hear this jacket wasn't what you expected! Please note that this is only water resistant and it is not waterproof. Fabric does not hold up
Fabric does not hold up to the wear of toddlers and kids. I have purchased these coats for my 5 and 3 year old but am sad to say that they do not hold up. Getting coats repaired by Patagonia is not worth while since they have torn so many times. The coats do fit great (a little large which we wanted) and are warm for chicago winters. Kids are also very happy with the colors.
The color of the coat received vs. what the outer shell appears like is very different; it is lighter of a color and more of a pink.

Overall great jacket, fits well for my 2.5 years old
I love this jacket, very warm and comfortable. It fits pretty well for my 2.5 years old, and will probably be good fit next winter as well. The only issue was the color- it looks very different in reality than seen on the website. I really liked what looked like a dark red on the website, but it turned out to be a lot more pinkish..
This is the second hi-loft I bought for my son. He was able to wear the 12-18m for 2 years and now my daughter will wear it. I buy them one size too big and they can wear them for a couple years. So happy with this coat. It is a great weight for cold MN winters and is easily paired with snowpants if my toddler wants to romp outdoors more. Super warm & practical
I wanted a warm and practical jacket for the winter months in Chicago, my son can be outside and get on all the fun with this jacket without feeling constrained by the material. An added plus for us is how easy is to clean up after snack time, just wipe it down with some water. I highly recommend it to anyone that wants to be be worry free.

This jacket is wonderful. The warmest jacket out there for a toddler. Almost perfect. My only complaint: patagonia- please make more gender neutral colors. Not a fan of shiny material
I had a baby down sweater for my son last winter, and it was amazing. This year, I bought the hi-loft instead. The material is awful. Every drop of drool and snot stains the coat and leaves it looking disgusting. Not a kid friendly material! Please go back to the old one!!

Have one in every size
The only jacket I trust to keep my kids warm in the Boston and Maine cold. Because the down is super compress-able, I also feel totally comfortable having my kids wear it in their car seats. Love that it's hooded and the hood fits great in the event you forget or lose your hat (AHEM - my son).
Great Jacket needs a hook & loop
We got this jacket because the one we had was getting a bit too small & we loved the style of it (similar to the one we currently have by a French company Obaibi). Our child currently wears a 2T and we got a 3T, so it is a bit large but not too large where they are being swallowed by the jacket.
Great for toddlers!
Our toddler loves his jacket. It is super warm and, unlike other jackets, he likes wearing it. It also compresses enough that we can put him in his carseat with the jacket on. Good Kids Jacket
The jacket is a nice weight and warmth for our child. No complaints about the fit. He seems to like it just fine. Excellent for my 4-1/2 year old!
Purchased this coat for my 4-1/2 year old. He is super skinny and tall (33lbs and 45”). It’s hard to find coats that are long enough for him without being too wide. This one is puffy and long and perfect in every way! I purchased the 5T size and we might even get 2 winters out of it. While playing in 20 degree weather my son said he was too warm!

Got this coat for the cold Chicago winters. It is super warm and still car seat safe. I am in love with the color, too! So much better in person (Gray, yellow combo). We got the 2T for my average sized 20 month old and it is a little big, but hoping we can get another season out of it. Definitely recommend.
I bought the same jacket last season for my then one year old. Now that he is two, he needed the 2T. I tried the 3T but it was way too big. He’s very tall for his age but slender. Love this coat for my 5 year old.
