Although she has a kinda small head, my 17 year old daughter does not have the head size of an average 5 year old. So we are assuming the hat runs big as the largest size fits her with room to spare. Lucky her. She loves it as a campy-cute fashion piece (leopard print). Well made.
We got this hat for our 4 month old so we could take walks in the winter months and keep her warm. Her head is a little on the small side so although the hat is a little big on her, its probably true to size for most babies. The hat is absolutely adorable and keeps her head nice and toasty!! Absolutely adorable. Bought as a Christmas gift for a child in the family. I get the impression it will be worn a lot because the parents loved it and it looks great
The 3-6 months size fits our 50th percentile head size (WHO head circumference) 7 month old daughter with plenty of room. I imagine she will be wearing this well over a year old.
Pros: She keeps it on. It keeps her warm. We get compliments on how cute our little bear is every time she wears it out.

I bought this hat for my grandson last year in orange (my favorite) and again this year in grey. He likes wearing it and keeps it on - a big plus for a 14 month old! It is warm and so cute.
I bought this, size 12-24 months, for my daughter who will be 12-16 months during the winter season this year and there is no way it will fit her its massive. It almost fits me!

Ginormous Fit
Wanted to love this hat, but the sizing is WAY off. I bought this for our 2.5 year old, and it is too large for our ten-year-old...
We love this hat! Its super warm for long days at the ice arena, and so adorable too. However it runs very large. 0-3 month still swims on my 2 month olds head and often falls below his eyes
I love this hat for my daughter! We often will go on hikes and walks - this hat doesnt bother her or itch her at all. It keeps her nice and warm, we love it!
I like this hat, it is really soft and it could be good for a cold day. It reminds me of a day in the snow. Unfortunately, I was only able to try it in the shop, the one I ordered is still travelling (almost a month now). I am looking forward to receive it because I like the colors on it.

Bought for my grandbaby
Bought this to go with the Los Gatos Button Up Hoody for my new grandson and the whole set is so cozy and soft. Very happy and not to mention he looks absolutely adorable!
This hat is super cute and cozy, but it definitely runs huge. I ordered 12-24 for my 1 year old and it fit my 4 year old and even my 10 year old could wear it. Its a great hat, just size down!
The quality of this beanie doesn't seem up to Patagonia's normal standards. It feels very thin and lots of "fur" came off as soon as I took it out of the package. I can't imagine what would happen in the wash. It might be warmer than it seems, but I'm worried about it getting ruined after one wash, so I will be returni... Read Moreng.

Too big (wide)
Too big (wide) for my baby who fits into 12-month old clothing. Fits my 4-year-old head circumference better, but for him, it did not cover his ears.

Cute hat but sizing is weird
Its adorable and very soft but the 2t-5t sizing doesnt work. Its way too big for my 2 year old and the tag just says 5t (so maybe I was sent the wrong size, but 5t wasnt an option when I ordered it). Will be great in 3 years when it fits!
I ordered this adorable little hat for our first granddaughter. Could be our only grandchild in that our son is an only child. Our son was a Patagonia baby 32 years ago.
I bought this hat for my 3 month old daughter for the cold NY winter and it has been great! It is so soft and fits so well, she will wear it all day, which is a feat for a baby!
This hat is adorable and super warm. It runs big in circumference, but it true to size in length. We were able to add a layer to modify it to last multiple seasons. It actually got cuter! I wish I could attach a pic.
The hat is marketed for 0-3 month I believe however it is way to large to fit a newborns head and is more likely meant for a 3 month old. The hat is nice material and will keep my daughters head warm, however I am unable to use it for several months
We bought this for our baby due in Jan but once it came, realized it wouldn't fit him until June-ish. It fit our friend's 6-month old (and their head size is in like the 99th percentile). It's super cute though!
Got this for my 15 month old daughter. It’s very warm and so so cute but it goes down over her eyes a lot when she’s in the car seat, stroller, or carrier, especially if I try to put up a good over it. So it covers her whole forehead which is nice but is annoying to keep pushing back.
This hat is very cute and soft, however, the sizing seems off. The 3-6 month size covered not only my child's head, but face and neck as well. Not wearable.

Darling warm hat
Perfect gift For my grand as winter weather approaches. Fits great and looks cute!
I love this hat for my little girl and she looks adorable in it, but it is a little bit big. When clicking on the size on the website, it offered 12-24 months and my daughter is 15 months, so that is the size I purchased. However, when we received the hat, the tag inside just says 24 months and the hat was very big. I ended up putting the hood from... Read More her Patagonia fleece under the hat and that worked out, and since it is big she can get more wear out of it next year. I do think the sizing needs to be edited on the site though.
the hat was purchased for a 24 month old child and the hat was sized 2T-5T. It was much too large and the tag inside said 5T so I think it would fit a child 4-5 yrs old but not a 2 yr old.

Love my products
Sizing reviews deffffff played a huge part in my satisfaction of the order I made for my son. He’s between a 4T and 5T and the results were spot on. I am soooo happy!!
