I had an adult small down sweater that was worn out. I decided to try the girls xxl and I found I liked the fit better. The length was perfect and it nips in at the waist. It was a bit big but the xl was a bit snug on my hips. The only negative is a lack of internal pocket.
Comfy and warm. A must-have outer and layering piece. Excellent quality of materials and workmanship. Unfortunately, the color palette available in women sizes are terribly bland and boring like a bowl of sad granola. It would be wonderful if Patagonia could incorporate bright and cheerful colors along with its flagship colors that scream I want to... Read More look like an old fashion sepia-tone photo. Ideally I wouldve purchased a womens M but since the colors Patagonia has rolled the past 3 years are so insipid that a girls XXL will have to suffice while I hope for Patagonia to come out with a fashion friendly colors in their line not just black and white or some depressing muted shade.
This is my first Patagonia jacket Ive ever purchased and Im definitely happy. Im 410, 103 lbs and I usually wear size large in kids and when I got it I thought it was going to be too small but once I put it on, it was perfect. Super light but definitely warm. Will definitely recommended to people and will definitely buy more in the future.
My daughter loves her new jacket. She says it's very cozy and warm. We would have bought the pink, but it was sold out. She really likes this blue color, but I hope she can keep it clean!
Hey, Hailey! We’re thrilled that your little girl is so happy with her jacket! You should be able to keep it in play for years. If her adventures get messy (and we hope they do!) you can remove the evidence in the wash. You'll want to close all zippers, snaps and closures. Machine wash it in cool water with a mild detergent (no bleach, no fabric softener, preferably powder) and then tumble dry on low heat (no fabric softener) with a couple of clean tennis balls or dryer balls. This will fluff the down, and help to refresh and tighten up the fabric around the down. You can find more information on caring for our clothing [here](https://www.patagonia.com/product-care.html).

Super warm and light weight
Perfect for my active daughter. It does not get too cold here, so this jacket takes her from fall through the early spring.
I ordered the women's XS for my daughter who is about 5'5 but she complains it is too long. I exchanged the jacket for a youth XL so eliminate the length. Women's sizes have more length than the youth sizes. Depends on what you are looking for.
My 9 year old has been using size 12 clothes lately. This one fit her a bit large with plenty of room to grow into which is pretty ideal for us. It kept her warm enough in 40 degree weather and comfortable enough to run and play around in!
Bought this for my granddaughter. Ordered S in Navy blue. She's a tall 6 yr old and this is a perfect size 7, looks great, & can fit a sweatshirt under it. She loves the light weight, slim fit. Big Hit for a girl who doesn't do pink!

Great fit
This jacket was purchased for my grandaughter. I purchased the same jacket last year. She loves the jacket great fit she is 13 yrs. wearing size 14/16.
I bought this for my 7 year old daughter. She loves it! It keeps her warm enough on Fall days. The pink is super cute, just as pictured! I really wish Patagonia would make more jackets with beautiful girly colors like this one, as I would buy more, as my daughter wont wear the neutral colors that are common to Patagonia. I would highly recommend th... Read Moreis jacket! It does run a bit large. She wears a Small in all clothing, but this one is roomy, more like a Medium. We tried the XS, which fit perfectly, but wouldnt allow for room to grow, so w ultimately stuck with the Small.
This jacket fits great! Id say the girls xxl is equivalent to womans small. It keeps me nice and warm down to 45 degrees in California. Patagonia never fails.
Normally we love just about everything Patagonia makes. This girls down sweater missed the mark big time.
1) Quality: I was horrified by how thin and cheap the down filling felt compared to the ones we saw in-person at REI. It was so sparse that this jacket almost felt like a lumpy shell. I was embarrassed to give something that felt so cheap.
... Read More2) Size: The size chart claimed that an XXL would be best suited to a person 61.5 tall and with 33.5-35.5 chest. I bought it for a person who was 62 tall with a 34 chest. The jacket hung loosely like a garbage bag and was about 3 too long in the torso and 2 too long in the arms.
3) Color: I checked the color of this jacket on 3 different devices and multiple website photos. It was warmer and browner looking in the photos and much more cutesy pink in-person. Really not what I wanted.
Overall, I was extremely disappointed in this jacket and am beginning to wonder if I received a defective product. It was not even close to the quality I expect from Patagonia. I would recommend anyone considering this jacket to look at it in stores first, since return shipping is not free.

Great casual coat
Very comfortable coat and the perfect weight for fall!
This is a great product. We would have loved having a hood connected to it. Sometimes we worry that our tree climber will tear the fabric.. but all is all a great product.
This is the second jacket I bought for her. The first she grew out of it. But still insisted on wearing it. Used it for everything during the winter. Paired with a fleece (Los Gatos Fleece) New England weather was no match for her. (Skiing, hiking, sledding) Very active with the jacket. My daughter has grown and I already went ahead and purchased the next size up for next winter or perhaps this spring! She has loved this as her current coat and I have one too. Once though the washing machine and it will be ready for her younger sister. Nice to have a coat that can hold up to multiple children for a few years. Highly recommend.
This is the third Patagonia down sweater I have purchased for my 7-year-old granddaughter, as she has outgrown the previous two. Bought for my daughter, she absolutely loves the sweater. It isn't restricting or bulky. She stays warm when outside. Think I'll have to get her another color as well.
This is the cute style and warmer coat that you should get it. I am 110lb and 5"3 . I got XL and it has plenty of room for you to put sweater inside.
I love it especially the color is very colorful.
I bought this for my super thin 411 daughter. It fits well. I thought it was paper thin out of the box but it works well for 40-50 degree NJ winter days. If we get to the 20s we may need a warmer coat. Wish it had a hood.
I bought this jacket for my 10-year-old daughter. She loves it and wears it almost every day. She wears it biking to school in the morning. The length is nice, well below the waist. It is perhaps a little embarrassing to admit but my daughter asked for this jacket for Christmas from Santa. This is the third jacket i've bought for my granddaughter in the six years we've had her. Love the SWEATERS to DEATH!!! True to size and warm as toast in NY winters
I have 2 girls 11 and 14. This is our 4th purchase of this jacket. They wash nicely, and remain in good condition after 4 years of use. The 14 year old uses it for two years, and then her younger sister for 2 years. I highly recommend this light weight, warm jacket that will easily fit in a backpack. XL is a child’s 14.
Purchased this as my daughter outgrew the smaller size the year before. Great quality and can be worn for everything. We live in NH and it gets used as an everyday jacket then we put a shell over it on the weekends for alpine skiing.
I bought this for my 9 year old daughter (50 pounds) got a medium. Pink color is great! Lightweight so easy for car travel for sports. Good for temps above 30 if outside long. She loves it! Will fit for next year too.
Love Patagonia! Now my grandchildren wear this clothing just as their moms did over thirty years ago! It’s pretty much impossible to wear out Patagonia clothing so plan on just passing it on to family and friends.
My kids have been wearing the down sweaters since they were babies. I always buy them a little big and the cuffs are stretchy enough that they can wear them for a few years before it’s time to pass them along. Such a great layering jacket or great on its own in dry weather too!
This coat is great in so many ways. I want to love it 100%, but was so disappointed to see a tear/hole in the front after only about a month of wear. My daughter is 6 and is as active as the average 6 year old - no exceptionally harsh treatment or conditions here.

Very Durable, Bulletproof Zipper, Maintains Value
I am replacing my child’s outgrown down sweater with a new one this year. This coat is light-weight and great for above freezing weather in Spring, Autumn and Winter in Maine. They are the best-- slim enough to layer over, but warm enough for all but the coldest of our northern california days. Every member of our family has a version of this coat, and they are all of our favorites. And the girls get the best designs-- love the colors and patterns!
First purchase of down for a child. She loves it but when she leaves the car, tiny feathers are all over the seat. Questioning how long it will last or will it last past first wash.

Perfect for spring weather
I bought this for myself in XXL (normally I am women’s size 6, 5’1” and 125 lb) to bridge the over 35/under 60 degree spring days. It is perfect for that temp range. I buy this style jacket every year. It arrives in the mail and the sleeves at 5-6 inches shorter than the same style from every previous year. It’s a huge let down when you buy a lot of products and are loyal to a brand yet they complete change the size of the exact same item. Very disappointed in the inconsistency.
The jacket is warm and lightweight. However, the arms are rather wide and the jacket has been constantly shedding feathers after just a couple weeks of light use.
I have been enjoying the new down sweater these past few days. It’s very light and warm. I am about 113 lbs with a fit built and wear a women’s XS, but decided to try a girl’s XL due to being half the price of the women’s down jacket. Good for fall and spring and some winter temps on the warmer side. You will want extra layers when going out below freezing.
