Perfect and gorgeous craftsmanship
I was afraid to ordered mixed reviews I like the guy boot style better but I went ahead with this pair I have a high arch narrow feet . Fits perfectly I usually get la sportiva for the same reason. Versatile and well crafted
After reading reviews, I ordered these specifically because I have a narrow foot and ankle and it is very difficult to find a chelsea work boot that fits. Unsure on fit. Will know in a month.
They're fancier than what I want to wear. Theyre heavier than what I want to wear. Theyre the only shoe Im going to own (beside running shoes). I still think its worth it. Patagonia is a great company. They guarantee their boots for lifetime. No other company does that. They source the material well. Its a resole-able Chelsea boot. MY PROBLE... Read MoreM is that I have to wear them in before I give a helpful status report. They feel fine, but my heel is slipping a little. This is what you need to know about this: A little heel slipping is normal. Particularly with STIFF, NEW leather boots, you need to break in the flex-point so that the boot will bend, rather than your heel lift. If my boot becomes loose after the break in period, I started too big. I need to go a size down. From what I understand, a painful entry point with new leather boots is normal. It may even be preferable as the leather and cork will form to your foot, eventually making a snug, comfortable fit.
Non-traditional purchase but worth it!
I purchased women's shoes!? Wait what? Its true. I wanted a shoe that could be refurbished and I wanted a non throw away chelsea. narrow toe area
The toe box is narrow and tapers. Pinched my toes. I returned them. Bummed I was really looking forward to a pair of hardy work shoes that I could slip into/outta. Hope you will consider a more boxy toe area in the future.

I read about the super stiff bison hide, but wanted sturdy work boots, so I doused the new boots twice in neatsfoot oil, which considerably softened and hydrated the leather. Perfect fit, look, wear, and philosophy
I'd been searching for this style boot in another brand that just did not fit me. I did the best I could to measure my own feet and determined tha... Read Moret their size 10 should be about right at 26.5cm. When they arrived, the fit was perfect right from the start. Other reviews said the boot was on the narrow side which is what I like to hear. Oftentimes, a size 10 is too wide and also too long on my (shorter) left foot. Not so with these boots. I wore them inside the house for 5 days with thick socks before trying them outside. With a thick, comfy, pair of wool socks, they fit both my feet well without any excessive rubbing or blisters. The buffalo hide is tougher than most of the other leather boot brands and keeps my feet warm. And, along with the textured sole, they look like they'll hold up really well. The sole has good traction and is comfy when walking throughout a work day, and the inner footbed liner is cork which is also comfortable and insulating. The boot cost more than I've ever paid for a shoe/boot, but I couldn't be more pleased with the purchase.
I was thinking these would be perfect farm/riding boots. Unfortunately I have a very high arch and a high! instep. I tried putting the right one on first with wool socks then thin sock and I when I did finally succeed, I knew these would never work, smashing the top of my foot, thankful for the ease of returning..

I tried the W's boots in 8.5 and 9, but neither fit right. I also tried the M's smallest size, 7 (too big). I REALLY wanted to love these boots. No more heel slipping, no more blisters! I haven't taken them for a long walk yet, but I'm confident that I'll be able to soon. I love the promise of longevity, repairability, and sustainable source material. The aesthetic is really nice and simple, pretty elegant for a performance boot. Wanted so badly to love
Unfortunately, they slipped off my heels but were tight around the ball of my foot. I think my foot is just not shaped right for these - two narrow in one area, too wide in the other. These are beautiful boots and I wanted them to work so badly. I was shocked upon receiving such a lovely gift. So bummed they didn't work for my feet.
Runs Narrow, Don't Try Being Optimistic About It
I know, I know, a bunch of reviews talk about these boots being narrow. I wanted them to work so bad I ordered them thinking my feet really are not thatttt wide. Sadly my optimism did not work. These fit like a dress boot.

The Wild Idea boot is absolutely gorgeous. Every detail is carefully attended to; the stitching, the leather inner lining, the flecks in the sole. Great boots! Runs narrow
These great boots run narrow. I ordered and 8 and then an 8.5 but both were too narrow for my foot, which is a bit wide, but i don't usually have much trouble with fit. Other than fit they seemed like wonderful boots. Wish I didn't have to return them!

Love the style
Loving the style, and how they use the scraps from the meals BUT I sized up and Im a little worried about fit. I think a half size up is good length wise, but the depth of the shoe is a little small. I took a fair amount of time to slowly break in so just started using for outdoor work today. They are comfortable and supportive of my foot and I'm hoping will hold up as promised. Overall, I really like them. I was VERY glad to have them on when I dropped a double pallet on my toe this morning! I'm not yet sold on the pull on design rather than the tie ups, so I'll wait to see on that feature. I like their sturdiness and some-but -not-deep-cleats on the soles. I'm curious why you decided not to make tie ups fo... Read Morer women. I'm planning to use them for a long time. so, all in all, well done!
Love these boots! Took them out for a spin already and love them. Like any great leather boot, they are quite fitted at first. I wore them in the house with an extra pair of socks to get them stretched a little, and now they are great. The leather and sole are substantial--well made, built to last and look good too!

I want a boot that isnt slippry when Im on a ladder in the rain, and that can take my stepping on nails and dropping beams, etc - is this product what...
